It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Week 3 of Game of Games launched last week, and we’re close to week 4 (the final week) starting. How are you doing with week 3? Thoughts on the prizes? Questlines? Just excited to have new content?
The Yankees and Red Sox (baseball) are playing over in London. Any of our UK readers go to the games?

I am now seriously concerned about how many people may have left the game. I am judging this on the low numbers of replies to these posts. I know this may not be a true indicator & I hope I’ve got this wrong .
All I want is for EA to keep the game going, they won’t if the numbers dwindle too much.
It’s a holiday week…big time. Nothing says “holiday” like a four day weekend…when everyone might as well take the rest of the week off…cause no wok gets done!
Yes fair enough, no holiday over here in UK but hope you all enjoyed your break.
Is it just me or is everyone getting a 900 MB patch every other day? I haven’t seen much talk about this. This is totally ruining the event for me. I am way behind. I don’t have a great data plan and cannot afford to download these patches every day if I am not within Wi-Fi range. By the time I think of checking my town in the morning I don’t have time to download the whole patch before I leave for the day. Then I can’t send my characters out every four hours because it keeps updating or logging me out
I thought I’d share what I done with the event items and so far I have nearly completed my E4 area with most of the prize decorations from the 3 acts. I’m waiting to see what Act 4 has to offer and getting some planters for my E4 area to be complete. I’m also working on a design for Blockoland but not sure on the Mapple HQ and the Happy Little Elves Farm yet.

This has probably been mentioned before but I would love it if EA gave us a Tapped Out Trading Post. They could theme it from the Alaska part of the Simpsons movie and it would allow you to trade all the stuff you can’t sell. Like all the dead trees I collected trying to get tiki torches. Or those weird chaise lounge things, and dance poles and pile of bones. I don’t even really care what you can exchange them for at this rate, I’m just tired of walls, castles, and dead trees.
Don’t forget to turn on your Christmas lights in tsto today for Christmas in July! 🎅🎄😍
We FINALLY got pool weather….followed by more rain! But in 2 days i managed to burn my skin to a lovely lobster red.

It was be nice to have quests like the road to riches style or IRS style, that reduced the recharge rate in the magic finger statue. If you could get it to every 4 hours that would be awesome.

It’s funny that cash is offered as a reward for daily challenges. I have nothing to spend the 240 million I already have on.
You can always x it out for something different, but that usually comes as having to send 70 characters on a 4hr task for 1 donut. Remember when you first, very first started and needed all the money possible for 1 block of land. Have a nice day/evening everyone!
I do, I x it until it’s a donut. I miss the ridiculously expensive items like the escalator. Hope you had a great weekend too.

I plant KEMs every 4 hours, and I individually send over 180+ characters on 4 hours task, and it’s time consuming. I am thinking of using the Unemployment Office to send 4 hours task en masse. My question is… is there any downside to using the UO? Like earning less XP over time? Thanks for clearing my doubts 🙏
I send all my characters by UE, just costs a few $. I also have them all go to the chimp diamond mine, by never completing that task, so two clicks and 90% of my characters are cleared and working again.
As far as I know, the down side to using the UO is the upfront cost in game $$. It does NOT affect your XP. However, your NET dollar income will be less than if you individually send your characters out.
But, I have a life, and the convenience of One Click, outweighs the (IMHO) “modest” cost.

I have 388 or 389 characters and could not imagine not using the UO….good grief. I also use rat trap trucks, rather than kem , much more efficient and cleaner feeling to me.
