In the middle, well really towards the end, of Game of Games we get a blast from Independence Days past! As returning 4th of July content has been introduced with week 4 of Game of Games. Of course, this is basically just an excuse for EA to stock our stores with returning premium content, just tempting us to drop those pink sprinkles!
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add any if the 4th of July returning content to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding these throwbacks to your town…

Here’s a rundown of what’s available for the 4th of July content this year…

So here’s the deal with these items…
Everything that’s available for premium donuts is available via the Yearbook Mystery Box at a fraction of the cost. So do not buy any of the premium items. Get them from the Yearbook box.
With regards to the Mystery Box. Everything in that box EXCEPT for Americatown and Sailor Kumiko (and regular Kumiko) is available via the Yearbook Mystery Box at a much lower price. So only take a shot at the 4th of July Box for Sailor Kumiko, otherwise pass on it and go for the items in the Yearbook box.
And finally, for the cash items…buy them. They cost in-game cash and you may eventually need them. So buy a bunch and store them…remember you have unlimited storage in TSTO.

No mystery box, does that mean I already have it all? Or is it a glitch?
You likely have it all… I only had one item.
I have it all, but was offered the cash flags and fireworks, and donut fireworks – items that you can have multiples of.
Hysterically Sailor Kumiko is the *only* item left in my 4th box…
I would say right off to all the new Tappers that missed getting content from prior Events? Please take advantage of getting those 4th of July related stuff that costs Simpsons cash (store it and slowly take it out to decorate – it’s fun to make virtual fireworks go off!)
Well it’s nice that EA is giving us options – 2 Mystery Boxes – anything you can obtain for 30 sprinkles vs. 75 sprinkles is a “buy now or farm later” (hey I created a new phrase (lol).
I noticed that Americatown and Sailor Kumiko is one of two Prizes I have available in the 4th of July Mystery Box (75 🍩’s for each is a discount, it’s also the same as spending 150 sprinkles to make sure you get both in the other Mystery Box, provided both are available along with three other Prizes to try for).
So, again, thank you for the options EA …. I will pick up the 2 Prizes from the 4th of July Mystery Box and Farm back those 150 sprinkles in 2 Days! 😁
Such a bummer that they’re still skimping on the new content. No new President and the event right now may be big in scale like old ones, but the content is lame.
Is this going to be the first 4th without the release of a President? Not a good sign for content enthusiasts.

When I adopted a “zero expectations” policy from EA, I am finding that I’m not disappointed most of the time …. and not like I’m expecting a surprise tomorrow, but we have been surprised in the past with a dozen free 🍩’s when logging into the game app. 🤔
All-American Apu skin is also available for 30 donuts. Same price as the yearbook, but a guarantee.

Yes that was an Event Prize from years ago (one of the funniest tasks for a Character Skin, too) and worth the sprinkles 😊👍
Recently re-downloaded the game last month after a 3 year hiatus.
Started farming donuts in order to not miss any new premium content.
Got too excited when I saw the 4th of July mystery box, did not realize all of the presidents were in the yearbook. So I bought it 4 times, Sailor Kumiko, Reagan, Eisenhower, and Roosevelt. So I could’ve saved about 150 donuts that would have been used on other premium items.
Bummer, but the farming is great as a steady income of donuts, so at least I have that, and now I know for next time to check carefully before spending.
ALSO, is there a new president being added to the game this year? It seems like all of the presidents were already available.

The latest Mystery Box is definitely an option if you only have one or two items (75 sprinkles each is a good discount). Our permanent Mystery Box can be quite the gamble to lineup a majority of Prizes you would want a chance to get at 30 🍩’s each, but I can’t complain at that discount (I can say that I am sorry you missed out on the “tennis court Bonus % booster” in May, but you never know what EA will bring back and / or do something similar next time).
Farm Away, sometimes it’s more rewarding to do that and obtain Premiums vs deciding if you want to Task for Event Prizes (isn’t it nice to have options?) 😊
