Today is America’s Birthday! Being that the Addicts crew are almost all located in the US (poor Safi is stuck working today…) we’re taking the day to spend time with our families and friends to celebrate the day America announced it’s Independence. So we really won’t be around much today, as we’re taking a much needed day to recover, relax and celebrate with our families!

Yes we had a 6.4 earthquake in California / Nevada

Yeah heard about it. Have lots of family in Santa Barbara and Agoura Hills. Heading out there this fall for an overdue visit.

We just had a second earthquake (7.1 larger than the first at 6.4) and it lasted longer (over 1 minute). Kern County had rock slides, there were a few fires in Ridgecrest / China Lake, but definitely along the Nevada / California border everybody felt it! Bakersfield had some road damage, there definitely needs to be some funds set aside for infrastructure (we’ve being worn for years about earthquakes, nobody paid attention, these earthquakes we’re not along the San Andreas fault line)🙄

Happy Independence Day everyone! Gonna be a beautiful day way up here in Northern Maine. Cooking out today, relaxing long weekend…and can’t wait to see the USA women win the World Cup on Sunday…despite all our issues….this is the best country in the world!! Have a great day everyone!
I know I am in for a hiding being British, but the American woman are head & shoulders above the other teams.
Some of the football from the others was laughable at times but you Yanks are very empressive.
