TSTO Character Profile: Brunella Pommelhorst

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

A new character arrived during the Flanders Family Reunion event, that’s neither a Flanders or a direct premium purchase.   With the arrival of Coach Pommelhorst in the Yard Sale Mystery Box (the only new character to make an appearance there), she doesn’t really warrant a SIB post.  And since she’s not an event prize, she doesn’t really fit into the prize posts.  So how do we cover Brunella?  Time to bring back the TSTO Character Profiles!

So here’s a look at the details, and tasks, behind Brunella, Springfield newest Gym Teacher…

In the world of The Simpsons, we’re first introduced to Coach Pommelhorst during Season 13.  In “Little Girl In the Big Ten” (Season 13, E20), as Lisa’s no-nonsense Gym Teacher…who likes to threaten Skinner with pens…

We later saw her make an appearance during Season 17.  In “My Fair Laddy” (Season 17, E12), coach Pommelhorst addresses her class….

Coach Pommelhorst makes more appearances, and it never seems as though she goes through with the change.  As we see her later in Season 22 back as Brunella Pommelhorst.

Anyway, Brunella arrives in our pocket-sized towns via the Yard Sale Mystery Box, available during the Flanders Family Reunion mini-event.  She was the only new character available in the Box (and the only character in the box NOT part of the Yearbook Mystery Box)

And now, on with Coach Pommelhorst’s tasks…

Brunella Pommelhorst’s Permanent Tasks:

Task Length Earns Location
Push Children Too Hard 1hr $105, 26xp Retirement Castle/Brown House

And there you have it my friends, a little backstory and the full set of TSTO tasks for Coach Brunella Pommelhorst!

  1. Is this the first time a new character only appeared in a mystery box? I can’t remember another.
I’m a big fan of mystery boxes for returning content as is gives new players a way to pick up older items. I do not like the idea of new content being exclusively introduced in a mystery box.

  2. Thanks for the post. I had a 1 in 4 chance of getting her and got her on the first try. My only gripe is we already have a lot of characters who use the retirement castle. Instead of 2 tasks there why not have some fun and make a task at the She-She Lounge OR the League of Extra Horny Gentleman? How about a task utilizing one of the other LGBTQ businesses?

    • I didn’t notice that she has 2 tasks at the Retirement Castle which doesn’t make sense because what children are at the Retirement Castle anyway. I would’ve made sense to be at Springfield Elementary or even the high school otherwise she would have all her indoor tasks at the school. The league and the lounge would be good locations for her other jobs since there are not many characters that go there in the first place.

  3. I’m not a fan of mystery boxes during the events, I’d rather pay the premium character price than spend upwards of 400 sprinkles on 1 character (and a load of junk that I didn’t buy the first time it came around)
It’s a pass for me until she is available to buy separately

    • Well…this is why I donut farm. And I got her on the 2nd click. But, I get it. I have never been a fan of games/programming of chance.

  4. Brunella Pommelhorst
I remember the Character (the first to transition on The Simpsons?), I did not spend sprinkles to get Coach Pommelhorst (I’m sure those who did utilize having a Character that obtained bonus amount of Event Currency), but I am sure the Coach will return towar regular Mystery Box ….. EA has to fill it when it gets empty. 😉

  5. Actually the first appearance of Mrs. Pommelhorst is in “the PTA disbands”. Although she is not seen, just mentioned. After the teachers go on strike she leaves a little girl hanging by gymnastics rings calling out her name.

  6. It sucks that she doesn’t have a 4hr VISUAL task… 🙁 but I bought her anyways. a good buy I must say.

I agree, a good buy. She wasn’t one of my favorites, but she did remind me of my junior high school gym teacher, so I had to get her.

I got in trouble for doing something stupid and for my punishment, I had to help her during my study halls. It was a good experience actually and wasn’t punishment at all.
