Another Friday my friends, and that means it’s time for another round of Simpsons News. It’s been a little while since the last news roundup, so let’s see what’s going on in the world of our favorite yellow family these days…
Last month, July 18th-22nd, was San Diego Comic Con. As usual, The Simpsons had a panel where they previewed Season 31, and the upcoming THOH XXX. (Episode 666…convientaly).
Along with the THOH preview, a bunch of other news came out as well. Perhaps the biggest news was Matt Groening saying there will be another Simpsons Movie…eventually.

Now onto some non-Comic Con related news…
As many of you know by now Russi Taylor, the voice of Martin, Sherri & Terri, and others from the Simpsons (and more importantly, the voice of Minnie Mouse), passed away last week. Here’s more info on her passing.
In the wake of her passing, there’s been some talk that The Simpsons may retire Martin’s character, similar to what they did with Mrs. K when Marcia Wallace passed away. There’s an article with more about possibly retiring Martin’s character here, but what do you think about it? Should they retire Martin? What would the show be like without out?
In some lighter news…
Ever wonder what the Simpson’s house would look like if it were given a makeover? House Beautiful attempted to find out, as they teamed up with a designer to give the house a modern makeover! You can see more here. They made over everything from the Family Room and Kitchen to Marge and Homer’s Room and the Bathroom! And more!

I know this isn’t really the right place to comment but this is the most recent email I found when looking up. But has anyone been getting big update requests? I’m fickle, while I applaud the retirement of Mrs. K I feel Martin should not. There are so many voice actors that finding a match should be easy. After all I grew up with 2 Darrins.
Also, while Minnie Mouse is iconic, it’s not like they’re going to stop making Mickey & Minnie cartoons…
R.I.P. Russi Taylor …. who can finally eternally join her Husband, Wayne Allwine (m. 1991–2009 (the voice of Mickey Mouse) …. and I feel the Characters she voiced (Martin Prince, Sherri and Terri, etc) can be voiced again by the über talented Grey DeLisle (aka Grey Griffin)! Marcia Wallace did one Character and she was a special circumstance (after all, this was Bob Newhart’s Secretary we’re talking about!) 😥
Next season’s Treehouse of Horror poster definitely revealed a lot, we’ll have to watch the episode when it airs to see what works vs what doesn’t (when it comes to episodes of The Simpsons, they can be very hit-or-miss for me). 😊
Simpson’s House – I drive by it all the time here in Henderson Nevada (yes the very same drhorton built home that was modified to look like a Simpsons house, then was given away to a winner 24 years ago, and then probably had it Simpsons themes removed) but I got a good chuckle over the “what if we could remodel The Simpsons house interior” (something tells me Marge and Homer have separate ideas when it comes to furnishings and appliances) 😅
Screen Rant does publish them interesting articles online, they definitely make a strong argument regarding the 5 Worst Things Bart Simpson Has Every Done. Meanwhile, WhatCulture has something better sweet offer regarding Martin Prince –
