TSTO is back baby! We’re FINALLY getting on, what feels like, a somewhat normal update schedule! Praise Jebus! We’re back to multi-events for this one. So love them, or hate them, they’re here to stay at least (likely) through the end of the year. The theme of this multi-event? Simpson Babies…
Side note: Anyone else have this them song immediately stuck in their head upon hearing this update was called Simpson Babies? They’re really taking this “owned by Disney” thing seriously…
Anywho….things kick off with 6s tasks for Lisa, and Bart. This then kicks off the Simpsons Babies Multi-Event!
IMPORTANT NOTE: Seeing a bunch of you report issues with Amazon devices crashing with this update. I, unfortunately, have no way to personally verify this. My best advice, is likely something y’all don’t want to hear, you’ll have to contact EA on this. I’ll drop the direct contact link here for you, so you don’t have to go searching for it. As soon as I see any updates on this I’ll post about it. In the meantime, if you do contact EA about it please keep me updated about what they say.
Another IMPORTANT NOTE: For some reason, even if your game sound is off, when you start up TSTO it starts playing ambient sounds. It’s incredibly annoying when you’re at work and something EA needs to fix immediately. If your sound and sound effects are OFF, they should remain OFF.
**For part 1 you’ll need to send Marge and Homer on a 4hr task and collect 50 Broken Toys. To collect Toys you can send: Bart, Lisa, Homer, Marge, Grampa, Maggie, Milhouse, Baby Frink, Baby Moe, and Baby Barney (New Premium Characters)**

As I mentioned yesterday, no Event Packet from EA was provided this time around. If we do receive the packet I’ll update y’all with some words from EA regarding the event. Until then…business as usual around here.
We should all know by now unless of course, you’re new to TSTO that the prizes for this event follow the same questline format to unlock as our regular mini-events do.
Just like Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Game of Games etc before it, this is not your typical Major Event. And there are pros and cons to that, and everyone will find their own pros and cons. And some people’s pro will be someone else’s con.
As always, I just ask that you have an open mind, and reserve judgment until we’re into the event. It’s 4 weeks long (and remember for the past few years we’ve been complaining that events that are 6 weeks plus are just too long). It should be fairly easy to complete. You’ll unlock a bunch of new prizes. No crafting to grind through. Just have some good old fashioned TSTO fun. And, as long as you don’t rush things, you won’t get bored because it’ll change each week!
As I stated above, the initial quests are 6s tasks for Bart and Lisa. Once completed you’ll start The Younger Games questline, which is the week 1 story to follow. This is how you’ll unlock the Week 1 (Act 1) prizes…

Bart: Suck suck? What’s that supposed to mean? And what smells like a double-stuffed diaper?
Bart And Lisa: Aaaaagh!
Lisa: PANIC!!!!
6s Tasks for Bart and Lisa
Lisa: There, I changed her! We didn’t have any clean diapers, but I used a dog sweater that Santa’s Little Helper rarely wears in the summer months.
Maggie: *suck* *suck*
Lisa: She needs her bedtime story! But I used all the baby books as baby wipes, since we were out of dog sweaters.
Bart: Then we have no choice but to make up a thrilling tale of mystery and suspense that will instantly bore her to sleep.
Lisa: Agreed. And all the characters need to be babies. Everything needs to be baby-fied.
Bart: I prefer the term… “Youthenized”.
Maggie: *gasp* *suck*
Lisa: Once upon a time… there was a virtual world, swarming with babies!
And this triggers the entire story premise for each act…
(and yes, just like I did for the past multi-events, I’ll be posting full dialogue for this one before each week is over)

Land Tiles
Because I know I’ll be asked…as of right now I don’t see anything awarding Land Tiles. Nor do I see the Golden Goose Realty coming back with this event.
This may be corrected with a patch during this event, but as of right now I don’t see a way of getting more land with this event.
I’m sure GGR will come back at some point, just have to wait it out a little longer.

I have looked around and haven’t seen specific confirmation, but will this week’s prizes be available all through the next 3.5 weeks, like they have been for multi-events?
I’ve been assuming that and trying not to get too annoyed about being basically locked out of my game by this crash in 30 seconds or less bug, but felt like I should double check…

I’m starting to wonder if EA just wants Fire Tablet users to go away. It started with Amazon always delaying the updates for Fire Tablet users, not EA’s fault then, and now EA didn’t, apparently, test this update on Fire Tablets to make sure this wouldn’t happen. I know they’re blaming it on “older” tablets, but this whole “old technology” thing meaning not even 5 years old is nuts! It’s becoming so that “freemium” is becoming less and less viable by the way it seems to go, but maybe that’s part of what EA wants as well.
Soo annoying can’t stay on longer than 30seconds get kicked since update d on kindle. Will contact each but not always much help 😐

Can’t play on Kindle Fire, both husband and I can’t get game to stay on more than 2seconds. Contacted EA and they stated it was a Kindle issue, contacted Kindle they said it was an EA issued. Have uninstalled five or six times same results. Kindle stated they would send something to EA. Not holding my breath on this one.
It took until 8/8 at 7pm, but with some donuts I was able to get to the second prize. Now, the game is find with the Youth part, but crashes for everything else. Kindle Fire. Husband’s newer Fire has the same issues. Hooray. Not.
Have to admit that those donut payouts for people who already have ____ premium items is kind of sad… The Jazz Hole and BGM cost us 165 donuts, and in return for this event we get a whopping 12 back for buying him early? I mean a discount’s nice, but putting a premium character in as a freemium suddenly just feels odd.
I get it. But I think they do this when they want to take a storyline to that premium character, which would require everyone to have it.
as long as they don’t take that PREMIUM tag from the character and make it a regular character… because what would be the point of getting it for Donuts when later they will release it for FREE… I felt a bit duped..
We can never anticipate what happens next, either a premium character bought with donuts but offered for free a year later, or freemium character available for purchase with donuts, it goes both ways but most important is we are happy at point of purchase and not get too hung up on the what ifs.

I’m still playing via my Kindle Fire. It’s a little older but still works good. Unfortunately, I tried to scratch the daily ticket and the game froze up and crashed in the middle. Now every time I reload the app, it takes me to the same ticket and does the same thing. I deleted and redownloaded the app,but it still doesn’t work. I’m waiting for the call from EA. Yay. 😡 This better not take as long as the last zoom issue! 😠😤
So I got the useless call from EA and it was exactly as expected. The guy told me they are aware of the issue and are “working on it”. That probably means I will miss out on most of, if not the entire, event. That really sux.
This will teach me to only check this site once a day. This will also teach me to clock in before 5 pm.
Quick question for anyone: I know the the SIB is coming for Baby Moe/Barney, but does anyone know if they collect game currency? If so, for this act or for all 4 acts?

The dialogue is funny (bravo writers), bummer the ‘youthanized’ Characters are not voiced (L-EA-Z-Y), but let’s see how these Event Prizes are.
If I pay on the new Premiums, it’s because they don’t interest me (too much good content in the Mystery Box, and – yep – less sprinkles per surprise is probably going to encourage 🍩 spending)😀
This is a fun update! Also: My game is working fine. However, when I start the game up, it takes longer to load (and I hear what sounds like the crackle of a wood fire in the background). Once the game loads, everything is fine.

Yes, there’s a minute delay with the game loading (longer than typical) …. and yeah that crackling wood fire sound 🤪 (hopefully we will get a patch fix from EA)
Update from Support:
I have just consulted the issue with our Specialist team and found that the team is aware of these issues after the game update and currently looking into them.
According to our Studio team, several other players are facing the same issue worldwide and this is server generated issue and please note the issue is mainly occurring on older operating systems and devices.
Good thing is that, this has been brought into the notice of the Studio Team and they are diligently working to fix it as soon as possible.I would request you to wait for some time till this gets though I know nobody likes to wait but rest assured the team is actively working on it and the issue is been addressed on priority.
Just to summarize, I have provided the above information and asked you to wait as our Studio team is looking into the issue and trying to see what they can do to resolve it.

Older devices my eye. This game has NEVER worked well with kindles. Half the time they’re the last to be updated and when updates arrive they’re buggy. Then it takes forever to fix the bugs.
I have been lucky with that. I have never had any problems before now with either my kindle or my sons Samsung tablet.
This is my fourth week playing exclusively through Bluestacks, and I’m honestly glad it’s not just me – I barely get my mini-game folks reset and it either freezes or shuts down.

iPhone 6 and Samsung Note 9 both no issue. (Feeling lucky so far)
iphone 6 plus and can’t get past the first dialogue without crashing… jealous
We can’t play on Kindle Fire, both my husband and I can’t get the game to play more than 2 seconds. Contacted EA, they told my husband it was a Kindle issue. Contacted Kindle they said it was an EA issue. Tried uninstalling six times nothing works.
Contacted EA. I received the obligatory uninstall reinstall. The download was large and the agent didn’t stay on the phone to see if it worked. He said if it doesn’t call back. It didnt. It now crashes and then the app store screen comes up. ZERO help from EA
This update killing playability on my Kindle Fire (crashing literally before I can tap the Simpson house) has become an excuse to migrate the game to my Samsung Tablet. I learned a couple of things by doing so:
First, NEVER migrate to a new device on the first day of an event… it makes everything go very slowly. (Really, this should have been common sense to me. I get kicked from the servers at least 10 times at the beginning of every event.)
Second, the Kindle Zoom issue may have always been there. It just got worse and slightly better in the past year. I have never seen my Springfield so zoomed out. The people are like ants and the houses are smaller than my thumb. Crazy! Fully zoomed out on my KF, the unemployment agency takes up about 70% of the screen.
Anyone else having trouble with it crashing ?

I regularly have crashing issues with Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff, no matter what I do, but today is the only time I have had crashing issues with The Simpsons Tapped Out in a very long time. I don’t get past Homer’s first lines before it just disappears from the screen like magic for no reason.

Same here ! Samsung phone with Android. The game keeps crashing just one second after I tap on the icon.
Same on my Samsung tablet. I stupidly tried a scratcher even tho I should have known better with the crashes. Now I load to the scratcher screen, crash when I start playing, and reload to scratcher screen. At least b4 I could play the event with just some interuptions. So frustrating that I’m missing out.
