Ol’ Gil is back in Springfield. He returned to Springfield yesterday with the arrival of the Simpsons Babies event. Also always, Gil has another ‘deal” for us. What’s the latest gimmick he’s peddling? Well, this time around he’s offering up a few babies…Baby Moe, Baby Barney, and Moe’s Express Lemonade.
So let’s break down the details of this latest offer and determine if this deal is worth the donuts or if it’s a real lemon….
So when you first get into Springfield (well after you’ve launched the event stuff…of course) you’ll see Gil waving his arms around…just begging you to tap on him…
If you tap on him you’ll see…
Gil: So there ol’ Gil was, lunching on perfectly good avocado peels behind Taco Bell, when all of a sudden…BLAZAMMO! The Youthenizer goes off, and I notice it’s baby-ized my dear friends Barney and Moe.
Baby Moe:Never hearda ya.
Gil: So what’d’ya say, won’t you adopt some poor helpless babies and save them from the unrelenting horror of being raised by me?
At which point you’ll see his latest gimmick…
If you refuse…
Gil: No! Don’t leave these kids with me! Now I’ve got two more mouths to feed!
Baby Moe: Three if you count my baby panda, but he only eats five or ten sacks of bamboo a day. And it better be imported!
If you accept…
Gil: Yes! You’ll give these innocent children the shot ol’ Gil never had. Curse you, Mom and Dad! Why didn’t you teach me to sell timeshares sooner?

-We just got the event packet from EA, and according to that, Moe and Barney will earn event currency for all 4 weeks at a premium rate.
-Animated task for both characters at Moe’s Express Lemonade
-Extra animated task for Baby Homer at Moe’s Express Lemonade
-Baby Barney is voiced
-5.5% Bonus on this is a nice bonus for item
Cons
-Pricey
-Baby Moe is not voiced
-It’s essentially a remake of Moe’s Express Bar, and smaller versions of Moe and Barney.
-Baby Moe has similar tasks to “Big” Moe.
-Baby Homer’s task at Moe’s Express Lemonade does not earn at a premium rate.
Final Thought:
To me, this is a coin flip deal. It’s REALLY expensive, despite getting two characters. 299 donuts is a lot of dough-nuts. So I’m kind of lukewarm on this deal, although I did purchase it.
The fact that the Lemonade stand comes with a 5.5% bonus is nice, and the new information that the characters will earn premium currency for all 4 acts is also nice. So I spent the donuts on them, but I had the donuts to spend. If your donut supply is limited you may want to think on these two, as ultimately it’s just a recycled version of Moe’s Express Bar and smaller version of Barney and Moe.
Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I already took deal. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).
Remember, there’s a good chance this may come back in a future Mystery Box. It’s happened a few times now. If you buy it there’s a good chance it’ll come back at a much lower price and you’ll be mad about it, if you don’t buy it and want it there’s always a chance it may not come back. So the gamble is up to you to take…

Neither baby moe or baby baby barney seem to be voiced in my game and I do play with the sound on on.
Im just going by sound files and there’s a file for barney
Just completed the first part of baby moes questline and it would seem that whilst baby barney doesn’t say anything when tapped he does upon completion of tasks.
I usually go for Gil’s Deals, but I already have Moe’s Express, and this whole “yet another incarnation” of the existing characters and buildings is getting a little worn and threadbare. And then to see that some of the prize track items are actually buildings we already have…I’m afraid this event just isn’t doing it for me. Was glad to see Frink’s house, but the rest of the prizes for this week are doomed to spend their lives in the storage abyss.😬

Not for me. So far I’m ahead of the prize track, and don’t need any extra help. I’ll wait until they come out for a lower price in the future.
5.5% bonus plus event currency – pricey but I’m in! Heading over to buy now.
I personally wont purchase anything with donuts until a lazy EA programmer gets off their Duff and figures out how I can play this game on my fire tablet again. I have gotten so accustomed to the bigger screen that I feel like they’ve cheapened their product by forcing me to use my tiny phone screen!
I do not really see how this is expensive when 150 donuts for one character and a building (usually without a bonus % where this combo has a massieve 5,5%) is considered normal.
Because it’s not 2 characters and 2 buildings. It’s 2 characters and 1 building. Should be 225 if priced according to previous items. Even moe’s Express with Larry and Sam was 199

I took the deal. Yes 299 donuts is a lot but it is 2 characters and 5.5% bonus so I don’t think it’s that bad. First Gil deal I have taken, it was time to help the poor guy out! Fits easily and it’s cute. I’m happy. Tap on friends tap on!!

Same here. The way I thought of it was 300D for two characters, one with a building, and a 5.5% bonus.
That breaks down to:
150D = 1 character+bldg combo
100D = 1 solo character
50D = tiny item that gives me 5.5% bonus
Is it a building or a decoration? Does it earn 💵?
I hesitated on this deal, but decided in the end to buy it, mainly for the characters and the cuteness factor.

As an aside I’m really liking the pace of this and the last event. No pressure to log in 4 times a day and still be able to finish each task line. Also, I liked the week off in between events. Gave me time to organize new items and finish new character’s individual task lines without stress. After all, I play this game for enjoyment, plenty of stressful things IRL.

Gil deals are normally a big overpriced DO NOT BUY ………. but dam Gil this one is tempting.
yeah, it’s 2 characters though, albeit only one with a building. so average 150/character+building isn’t that outrageous…and 5.5% is a bit more than for two characters…I don’t think this one is as crazy as, say, 300 D for a friggin whale!
I bought it, since I have a ton of donuts to use up.. may as well spend what I am earning for free. I can make up the spent donuts and then some in two rounds of farming.
I’m with Patric in that “why do we have separate versions of main Characters” (Adult, Teen, Kid) …. and they are funny (fun Visual Tasks), but also L-EA-Z-Y in that a majority of them are not voiced.
299 🍩 ‘s …. it’s steep but 5.5% Bonus is nice and so is the fact you get 2 Premium Characters that earn Event Currency for all 4 Weeks (nice to know EA sent an Event Packet – better late than never).
I’m almost on the 3rd Event Prize for this Week and I’m not even grinding, I’m sure I will Farm more than that amount (299) by tomorrow …. so, I’m saying “No Deal” now, but I may change my mind (permanent Character Tasks is nice with a Lemonade Stand that doesn’t take up too much real estate) 🤔
I’m a day behind due to vacation, so I’m going to start planting donuts so I can get this item. I figure having extra characters earning event points will help me catch up.
But yeah, this is high priced for what you get.

I wish this lemonade stand has that feature like Moe’s Express where you tap on his bar, it pops up list of characters I can put ‘on the job’ very easily. Lemonade Express doesn’t. Hopefully EA reads this and will fix that.
When do we get a Gil deal offering Gil as a full character?
