Should I Spend Donuts On Baby Frink and his House?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

TSTO is back baby!  We’re FINALLY getting on, what feels like, a somewhat normal update schedule!  Praise Jebus! The theme of this multi-event?  Simpson Babies. Of course, an all-new mini-event means all-new premium content in our stores, just tempting us to drop those pink sprinkles!

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add Baby Frink and Frink’s House to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this sciency combo to your town…

Building/Decoration: Frink’s House

Donut Cost: 150 Donuts

5×7
Earns:
$135,15xp/4hrs
Conform-O-Meter:
Indolence +20

WDTCF?: “Springfield Up” S18, E13, Frink’s House is from a bunch of places but I believe Springfield Up is the connection here…

Leaves stores August 14th, 2019

Pros
-Helps with the event, earns a special premium rate (only Act 1)
-A couple of amusing animated tasks
-House is animated when in use lights on. Satellite dish out, electricity runs through it.
-(Big) Frink has a permanent 4hr task at his house, Make a Smarter Home
-Comes with a (short) questline

Cons
-Not voiced
-Only helps with Act 1 currency
-Baby version of Frink…

Final Thought
Premium or Freemium:
I like it, it’s a good buy.  Frink’s House has been something many of us have wanted for a while now, so this is a good chance to grab it with a full character no less.  And 150 donuts is a fairly standard price for character/building combo these days.

Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I already picked it up (almost instantly).  But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Here’s a look at his tasks…

Baby Frink’s Permanent Tasks:

Task Length Earns Location
Ponder the Unknowable 1hr $105, 26xp Frink’s House
Play Tiny Mad Tinkerer 4hrs $260, 70xp Outside/Visual
Test pH of Bottled Formula 8hrs $420, 105 Frink’s House
Try Not to Change Timelines 12hrs $600, 150xp Outside/Visual
Lose Science Fair to Potato Clock 24hrs $1000, 225xp Springfield Elementary

I’ll have the full dialogue of his questline up later on, but for now here’s the Turbo Tappin’ version of his very short questline…

Note: For those who like to plan ahead…3 more premium combos will be released with this event, 1 for each act, and each one will require 150 donuts to purchase…

  1. Hey was wondering if you could get Frinks house after the time runs out, or can you only get it for limited time. Is there any way I could get him after the babies event cause I don’t have enough donuts to buy him yet?

    • Once he leaves tomorrow he’s gone. You won’t have a chance to buy him unless EA brings him back at some point. But no guarantee he’ll come back.

  2. I’m going to disagree with you on one thing here… that baby Frink is a ‘con’. There’s just something that speaks to me about this event, it’s the first one in a while that’s actually motivated me to get back on the 4-hour tap schedule, and I think the babies are it. So in this case, baby Frink is a ‘pro’, and the reason I bought this combo.

  3. Well this week’s or part one of the event is shot!!! I’m playing on a kindle fire scratch that. I’m trying to play on said device, but the game keeps freezing and crashing. I am beyond PI##ed off. Been playing for about 6 years and have always been able to avoid major glitches. Until now when I need the distraction the most. I contacted Ea tech support and was told that I was not the only one with this problem!!!!! Okay, so what am I supposed to do with this information?????????? Was also told that they are working on it. Today is Saturday there’s no freaking way I’ll be able to catch up. So this event is basically a no go for me. Jeebus I am so angry and upset I don’t have the proper words to express how I really feel. This sucks big time. Sorry.
P.s. Patric, I hope all goes well with your wife’s surgery. Good vibes and virtual hugs for all of you. I will keep her in my prayers.

  4. Thanks a lot Alissa! This was an instabuy for me, too 😁

  5. Bought straight away. I like getting new houses. Standard price 🍩🍩🍩 these days. So far I’ve resisted Gil’s deal – don’t think I’ve ever bought one – BUT I do want the collection of babies 😆

  6. I picked him up. Why… because he’s cute and what else am I supposed to with my donuts! Get premium stuff!!

  7. Sheila Judith White

Got it. Took it forever to place due to the game glitch. I too reported it to EA. They called me to assure me they are working diligently to fix it.

  8. Baby Frink and Frink’s House

Well, I purchased the Gil Deal this morning (2 Premium Characters + 1 Decor with Character Tasks for 299 🍩’s seemed reasonable), which is speeding up obtaining Event Prizes …. so I don’t need Baby Frink for that.

Frink’s House is cool looking! If I don’t end up getting this for 150 sprinkles (I can Farm that within a day), then I can wait for it to show up in the Mystery Box (or wait for EA to do what it does, offer up all of the Premiums towards the end of an Event).

Despite the fact most of these ‘youthful’ versions of our favourite Springfield Characters are not voiced, the dialogue is spot-on for a tot (funny and you have to wonder if some of the writers became brand new parents) and overall this is a fun Event (so one minor gripe is not ruining it). 😀👍

  9. I’m so frustrated! I play on Kindle fire and i’m still unable to play the game. I submitted a report to EA and they said they’re working on it. But still i’m 2 days behind.
I’m hoping they extend the first week into the second week so that those of us that can’t play can catch up.
Fortunately i have donuts – so maybe i can just donut my way thru the first ‘episode’.
    arg.

  10. Me want. Me bought. Me happy.

  11. Why do I have a random recollection of already owning Frink’s house from way back when?

    • You’re probably thinking of the Ultrahouse…

      Ultrahouse:

      Frink’s House:

      • Rusty Shackleford

I have both. Always like having a new house for my Springfield as it adds variety. I placed Frink’s childhood home in Springfield and the other on Cypress Creek. I like to think he moved to the Ultrahouse after he made his fortune.

  12. didn’t even think about the should I or Not. and I got it as it came out.. little baby versions of the characters is fun 🙂

  13. No buyers remorse here. 👍👍
