Simpson Babies Week 3 Is Live!

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s officially 10am here on the East Coast, and that means Simpsons Babies Week 3 is Live!

Things kick off for week 3 with some dialogue between CBG, Lisa, and Bart…

CBG: Interesting. Various characters are reverse-aging into babies, much as in classic Futurama episode 4ACV09. Although in that story the device was called a “Youth-a-sizer”, not a “Youthenizer”, so this is very, very different.
Lisa: Instead of nitpicking sarcastically, why don’t you help for once?
Bart: Yeah! Like, tell us how superheroes would un-reverse the aging process.
CBG: Well, let’s see. In the movie Superman, the hero of the same name reversed Earth’s rotation, causing time to run backwards. However, that’s the third stupidest thing in history, behind two things Aquaman did that are too embarrassing to discuss.

This triggers the week 3 questline, The Sleuthenizer, and is followed by a 4hr tasks for Bart and Lisa., as well as a task to collect Week 3 Currency (50).  The Sleuthenizer is the questline that will take you through unlocking all of the Week 3 prizes.

Let’s take a look at what else is in store during week 3…

Here’s EA’s synopsis for Act 3/Week 3:

Bart and Lisa turn to the remaining adults in Springfield to look for help. Comic Book Guy is basically useless, so they move on to Frink, who invited the Youthenizer in the first place. While examining the Youthenizer, Frink accidently activates it, turning him to a baby too!

Frustrated that everyone she tries to get to help has been turned to a baby, Lisa has no one left to turn to. In that moment of desperation, the spirit of Bleeding Gums Murphy appears to her in cloud form to offer her words of encouragement. Looking for inspiration, Lisa starts playing her saxophone. In their story to Maggie, Baby Bart and Baby Lisa get on their bikes and ride past the local teen center. Bart has an idea that maybe they can get one of the teens there to help out since teens are good with tech. They find a teenaged Smithers, who was clipped by a Youthenizer, receiving only a partial blast. While examining the Youthenizer, Teenage Smithers recognizes the device as the same one that Mr. Burns was using the previous week and that caused Smithers to turn teen when it went off. Turns out, Mr. Burns was behind the Youthenizer the
whole time. They decide to go to the power plant to confront Mr. Burns, but when Lisa tries to turn on some music for the ride, she accidentally activates the Youthenizer and, you guessed it, gets turned into a baby.

As I stated above, you’ll basically go right into The Sleuthenizer questline, which is what the week 3 story will follow. This questline is how you’ll unlock the Week 3 (Act 3) prizes.

The currency we’re working on collecting for Week 3/Act 3….

While a bulk of the event currency earning characters are needed for week 3, you can still send Milhouse (and Baby Frink) to earn week 1 currency if you haven’t finished that track yet.  You can send Flanders and Baby Burns to earn Week 2 Currency if you haven’t finished that track yet. As those characters will not be used for Week 3

If you need a reminder as to who can earn what with week 1 check out that rundown post here. And week 2 can be found here.

Premiums

Here’s what’s included today:

New stuff…

Teenage Smithers and Malibu Stacy Fan Club- 150 Donuts.  Per my notes from EA, this will earn event currency for Act 3/Week 3 (and only week 3/act 3). FULL character, not a costume. Leaves stores August 28th.

Returning

No new returning content was added with Week 3.  However, all returning content that hit our games with Week 1 is still available this week.

And that’s it my friends.  The details of week three of the Simpsons Babies Event.

  1. I didn’t get prompted to download update until Tuesday. I’m 2 weeks behind!!!

    • fortunately, it’s easy. You can easily do weeks 1 2 and 3 before week 4 starts. If you log in 4 times a day it should only take you 2.5 days to complete each week.

  2. Just got the Lower East Side Homes…like the foto lab, it doesn’t rotate; it also seems to move 2 or 3 squares at a time, not just 1 so it’s difficult for me to place it anywhere that looks good. Anyone know why that would be – the non-rotating and/or the herky-jerky movement?

    • You probably have some pavement, dirt or krustyland tile underneath it and are moving it using the area selection tool. Try moving the building or the underneath tile in another place then you should be able to move it square by square and rotate it using the 4 arrows icon (in between the friends icon and store icon). The only item from this event that can’t be rotated is Le Petit Appetite (yellow corner building with all the flowers on it) from the second act.

  3. Do you think EA was trying to represent Patric with the latest dialogue from Comic Book Guy? (Lisa Simpson does mention he is ‘nitpicking sarcastically’ , but that could apply to many of us – even me (lol).

So, yes I am starting Act 3 / Week 3 late ….. while still managing to get the first Prize for Act 3 (Lower Eastside Homes) without any stress (OMG! The Jazzhole and Bleeding Gums Murphy? White Snowball Kitteh? Thank you EA and chocolate baby covered Jeebus! I’m going to enjoy the new content obtained this week!)😀

So, again, I hope this patch fix helps those who haven’t been able to Tap on an Amazon Kindle (all of you will catch up, it’s not that much of a grind, maybe you will spend sprinkles to quickly do so vs spending sprinkles on new Premiums) …. and let’s have fun.

  4. I think there is a potential for earning 62 currency this week. 5 x 6 freemiums plus 8 x 4 premiums.

Just happy snowball is a pet I can get. So many cute babies 👶🏻.

  5. Does anyone know who the premium character will be for week 4? I was looking at the character set for the event and baby bart is the only one that I dont have and I assume he’ll be unlocked via the questline.

    • Check the even more oddballs category 😉

      • Thanks alissa I was just wondering this myself after seeing finding out it would be 4 acts not 3 as with all the babies category being filled up I previously thought bart and lisa would be put in act 3 like how we got 3 characters for act 2 (2 regular 1 premium)

    • Sadly, it won’t be Mrs. Sinclair. Check out some of my prior posts if you want the story with three part harmony!

Dear EA, please provide her as a solo character. 😁

  6. wish they did Baby Milhouse to go along with Baby Bart.

  7. YAAAS new NPC! ❤🐈😍

  8. So far, I like it. Nice and easy, bunch of new characters for free (or very little work), and I don’t have a problem with multiples of all the Simpsons. It’s not the first time this happened…

The only thing I find a bit cheap are the donut prizes. I mean, the Jazz Hole and Bleeding Gums Murphy – or 12 donuts? Seriously? That doesn’t add up for me. They could at least come up with a replacement prize, or throw in a few land tokens.

    • If Doctor Evil can have a Mini Me, why can’t we have a baby homer, a teenage homer, a homer from another dimension, a barbarian homer, a Mister Sparkle (ok, that’s technically not a homer), ok, time for you to chime in on all of the versions that I am missing.

    • I agree, I spent 165 donuts to get Bleeding Gums Murphy during the music event and to get 12 donuts as a consolation is kind of weak. If they are going to offer previous items as prizes, they should use items that were originally free (that way new users have a chance to win them without having to pay donuts for then or take a chance with the mystery boxes).

      • It’s not the first time they’ve done this.

Kodos and Kang, originally premium characters. A year after they released Kang he was awarded as a FREE character (not even a prize, just a free character). Similar with Kodos. Now every time they hit the game they’re free. And at the time they were released they were 150 donuts each, which at the time was insane for a premium character.

You basically paid for the use of the character for 2 years.

        • Oh, I wish they had put Kang in the Yearbook. I have Kodos, the ray gun, the golden flying saucer, but still no Kang. I wonder if I can get EA to unlock him for my game since he’s a been a free character?

  9. Reversing the Earth’s rotation to turn back time is pretty embarrassing.
