It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Dear EA, I know that the annual THOH event is coming up soon. Can you find it in your hearts to include a Wind Lad and Solar Citizen? They are my most favorite superheroes!
When the first came out I didn’t have a lot of donuts and had to make a choice between them and the plopper. Being a dad, I let my son decide and he opted for the spider pig. Ok, now I have the spider pig song going through my head.
I think the pair came back once before, but I couldn’t take advantage.
As you know, superheroes are a common costume around Halloween time, so it would be perfect as a returning character set. If you like, you can add them to a mystery box and hopefully my luck will carry me through.
Also, can you bring back a lot of the old Halloween skins, and NPC’s.
Oh, yeah, I someone else who wanted a kodos and or kang.
And finally, can you bring the giant toilet into the game? Allissa wants it a lot and she does so much for this group of tappers. I would like the toilet to have a gold plated toilet seat?

I’m getting the Bart screen kick out too. I’m on an iPhone 7 and an iPhone X. The game is still playable I just log back in. I can deal with it just not getting to my neighbours as I would like too. I’m excited for next week to start because that means after it’s finished we will be getting closer to HALLOWEEN 🎃!!! I’m looking forward to seeing what the event will be! I know for people that have been for multiple years they are getting bored and feeling like the game is on life support. As someone who has only been playing for a year( a full year this month) it does not a cure to me that the game is in anyway on life support. It may someday but for now I continue to be super excited by any and all new content!! Happy Sunday friends and Happy Tappin!! 👻😈🎃💀☠️
As I start to move things around in my town and put it more together, the more I realize just how much I need more space in Springfield Heights. EA, will you please open up more land in Heights so the richy rich buildings can finally go there. We’ve been asking for this for so long, isn’t it about time to give us what we want? Perhaps the next event can be a Springfield Heights event – with lots of open land to purchase.
On an up note, enjoying the Fall like weather in Massachusetts. No humidity, sun shining, gentle breeze. Definitely makes being sick with a cold more comfortable.
I agree. That area is more neglected than Krustyland before they nuked it. What a waste of potential.

Happy tapping all 😁, all is well 😃, 3rd week done and I don’t mean baby event, all the treatment my wife needed is now finished and hope prevails, we are tired but a bit of rest and looking good. We met some wonderful people going through the same thing and met some professional people helping us on the way., Onwards and upwards I say. 😁

I’m trying to harvest rat traps and the game starts crashing now. This wasn’t happening a week ago. Anyone else experiencing lag issues?
Lots of Bart screens since last week’s “patch”. Oh well.
Don’t do more than, like, 5 or 6 trucks at a time. It takes longer but u dont get screwed out of ur donuts. 🍩
Yup…if you place and collect 6, then repeat over and over, it seems ok. I tried a set of 10 and it shut me down. So now I place 6 and collect, place 6 and collect, and so on till I get as many out as I want, then cash them all in. Good luck.😁
try KEM farming.. its much better in my opinion. and you get to keep all of your money if you do it just right… 🙂
This has happened twice to me in the past 3 days with my KEM farm. I generally click on all the people I have off doing jobs, and while that is collecting, I click on my KEMs.
It has crashed twice now, and the first time, it was just after I had collected my first set of bonuts, so I lost out on a lot of bonuts. I thought the first time was probably an anomaly, but it happened again today.
What I don’t understand is why it is trying to connect to anything at that point? It’s nice that it keeps your data synched on their servers, but that shouldn’t happen in the middle of collecting lots of job/KEM/other income.

One of my neighboreenos frequently manages to tag all 4 of my taggable sites at the same time, despite each player only getting 3 actions per 24 hours, which puzzles me. If they have 2 or more games at once (“A” and “B” games), would that explain it?

I am curious about this one too. I have a neighbor (neighbour if you are Safi or Corn-man) that I would like to keep ahead of with the tagging. 😁😉😉
What would explain it is that it takes you longer than 24 hours to clear them. One could click 3, wait 24 hours and click the other one.
Nope. I thought of that. I clear every 24 hours, nada. Then go back, say 6 hours later, all 4 tagged. I’m guessing they have more than one game going, and TSTO lets them in more than once… not sure.

Are you saying you actually _do_ get the tagging done on 2 separate days? That’s weird, I thought I was pretty OCD about clearing the tagged buildings at _least_ once per 24 hours, usually more… If I’m NOT managing that, and you’re just planning well (say, you do 10pm one night, 10:01 the next), then kudos to you!

Think of it not as two days, but two twenty four hour windows of opportunity. One of which is about to close and the other which is about to open.
Typically I visit a town and tap just one building. I return in say 23 hours 55 minutes and vandalize two buildings. I wait however many minutes until the next window opens, return and vandalize the other two buildings.
You need luck. Many times I’ve missed the window, my friends have disappeared, I’ve been slung off the server or at least one of the buildings has already been tagged.
I hope this satisfies the wondering.

I tried your procedure last night for the first time… Like you, my “right time” was around sleep time, so I’m not sure how much luck I had with any of my taggable chums, but I had at least a couple of “maybes”… I left too much time at the end of Day 1 after my last tag of that day, so someone else could’ve sniped those tags. Whatever. In any case, I finally get the idea. I _tried_ to get you, dear Adey, but at least one place was already taken (Nico?), so I had to console myself with other neighboreenos. Thanks for the clever idea!
Here is a tip. If you have three neighbors, A, B and C, use all three hits on neighbor A. The just one on neighbors B and C. This is the set up.
In 23 hours and 55 minutes, or so, you can see the timer on neighbor A and you know the time is right to then Tag neighbors B and C with two grafittis. When you come out, you will see you have roughly 5 minutes until your 24 hour clock resets, once that happens apply tags 3 and 4. Save one for the next day (again using neighbor A as your timer)
Next day, tag once, wait for the clock to reset, then apply 3 new tags and you have your double ‘el quattro’
If you count that is 9 tags over a period of about 48 hours and 15 minutes, but the recipient sees two ‘el quattro’s’
Yeah, that’s what I am calling them. And Adey can have the honor of bringing this to our attention.

I have a long time neighbor— Lee— who has been absent for more than a year (Please comeback dear neighbor)
And their town hall had been tagged, previously, and it was available.
I knew buildings could be tapped, over and over, even before they were cleared…..
But I never knew the same was true of tagging.
If Lee ever returns (Lee, come back, come back)
Lee will quickly be a Zillionaire— although spend a couple of hours clearing the buildings. I know I am not the only one still visiting.

Seriously I loved it and it is a fun reason to have friends. Patric has a lot to answer for as this all started following his Friday Filler and the subsequent Tagathon when be both became your friend.

What?!? You and Ade are a couple?! Too cool. _And_ I _did_ get 4? Sweet. And of course, it’s ALL Patric’s fault. I avoided tagging altogether until TGCG (The Great Cranky Golfer) turned me around. The only problem with Adey’s maneuver is that it requires clarity and organization, two things which are in short enough supply at midday, much less close to midnight!
I avoided tagging until Patric also turned me around and I love the daily greetings to my favourite friends who repay me likewise. You are one of the best!
I would like to repay Patric for introducing me to tagging, but rarely do you get the chance to do one building let alone all four in his town!

Loving the “El Quattro Gang”. I like the “el quattro” moniker. I was starting to think of ‘em as “Tag Slams”, but I think “el quattro” is gonna stick. I got a trifecta of them last night, so sweet! And, of course, Adey and Friends continue to score them on me.

I unlocked Ebenezer Burns from the Yearbook recently. I really didn’t want him, but I have to say, the dialog was hilarious. I was laughing so much.

I’m not sure who it is exactly but he looks like one of the NPCs from the superheroes events. I remember he spawned in the first superheroes from the Burns State Prison which the superhero characters could fight him. I think he appeared again in some dialogue in another event but that’s about it.

I’d like to make a recommendation here for all music lovers. Last night the Tedeschi Trucks Band headlined the Lockn Festival in Arrington Virginia with an historic set of music. The second set was comprised of the Derek and the Dominos Layla album in it’s entirety with special guests Trey Anastasio and Doyle Bramhall II. The entire concert is available in stunning quality on youtube – highly recommended!
