It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

I won the game today! Pretty strange remark for a game with no set goals, but nevertheless, I won today. I ‘ve been playing for just about 1 year, starting with virtually nothing like the rest of you, but struggling to accumulate money, donuts, krustyland tickets, springfield heights commodities, levels, and bonus multipliers. And today I finally won! But what is winning? I have not unlocked all the land, have not maxed out on money or objects in my Springfield, nor have any need to add to my 5000+ donuts. I have maxed out on SH “currency” and levels, as a lot of you have and my bonus multiplier is above 1850%, but is that “winning”? I even have a few tasks remaining (Money Mountain level 11 and Cecil Terwilliger’s two higher priced quests) but they don’t really matter as far as winning is concerned. You see, I finally reached the point where earning another in-game dollar or donut doesn’t matter anymore. No more having to grab my tablet every four hours to send nearly 300 characters on their next 4 hour task. No more digging in the ancient burial ground for bonus lamp posts. No, I’m not quitting the game. And I may even grab a few bucks now and then (while waiting for events), but I realized today that I no longer need to accumulate anything more in this game. I can now spend my time redesigning my Springfield and enjoying the town I created. And that, my friends, IS winning. Do you agree?
Totally agree! “Winning” in TSTO is an individual matrix. That’s what makes it so wonderful.
Hi. I accidentally used up almost 400 donuts by clicking to complete all characters tasks just after I sent them on a 4hr task. Is there any way to get this back (undo)? I emailed EA via the game (as shown) and all I got was a generic response “No way to undo this” (condensed version). Has this happened to anyone else? What can I do? That is a lot of donuts to use up.
I know I’m a few days late………….I’ve noticed something about my game that’s been occurring for the last few months. I will open the game and instantly win doughnuts. My XP counter won’t indicate that I’m entitled to the doughnuts. I just enter the game and Bam! Here’s doughnuts. Thank you very much.
Before anyone asks………..No. I’m not exiting the game while the XP counter is still tallying XP from my tapping. I never exit the game until all is peaceful in Springfield. Nothing counting or collecting. Just birds chirping.
This is a little interesting. I have Golden Goose and have opened all the land so it was paying out cash. I earned a land tile as my reward for completing so many daily tasks. Such a rip off, right? Well, I was able to exchange the tile for 12 donuts! Thanks as always for everything!

Ok, with inclement weather in Las Vegas (40mph-70mph winds today) I don’t expect quality Telecom (internet access) …. but, I am experiencing the same issues as everyone else even when I have 100% 1gig WiFi (not all the time, just enough that it stops me from Tapping in TSTO) – damn that Bart Screen of Death! 😣

I noticed this latest Mini Event had zero promotion on their social media sites! The last promos? Simpson’s Babies! Makes you wonder if EA even bothers (well, hopefully they’re enjoying the heckling – “is that a toilet flushing? nope! that’s just my TSTO load screen!” “let’s see what lasts longer, the time it takes to tweet this? or the time I’m on TSTO before I get a Network disconnect!”) 😂
Share your frustrations with L-EA-Z-Y! Maybe they’ll get the hint that we want a THOH 2019 that doesn’t suck! Team Disney Burbank knows The Simpsons as an I.P. is profit generating! They won’t hesitate to take TSTO away from EA as soon as any prior agreement with FOX ends (I’m just scared where Disney will hand any license agreement for mobile games will treat it worse then EA! Disney and online games / mobile games handled in-house has a bad track record!) 🤪

I connected fine this morning but not now. Buggrit. 😡 Please, oh, please let the Halloween event go smoothly.
Every single time I try to login, it tells me I need to download an additional 1039 mb of content, which takes about 10 min. EVERY SINGLE TIME. I haven’t even hardly started the last event because it takes so long to login. Advice?

If the next event is indeed Halloween themed & EA stick to the same four week boring format, then I cannot see how it’s going to be anything special.
I hope however that the programmers use this opportunity to mix things up a bit. Come on EA give us our game back !!!

Well 30 donuts is way better than his original cost. 30 donuts for any premium character is a pretty good deal…unless you flat out don’t want the character.

I should be able to unlock Lisa’s clown outfit by tomorrow. After I’m finished with this event, I’m taking a break from Tapped Out for the rest of the month. My apathy towards the current state of Tapped Out is growing day by day. As a result, this would be the first time since downloading the game 5+ years ago that I’m going to voluntarily NOT plan on logging in. I only missed out a few times due to needing to buy a new Android tablet, which is currently 3 or 4 years old.
Usually, I always login into the game each day to send my characters on their 24hr tasks or do some donut farming after I’ve finished an event. However, the random Bart Screen of Death is making gameplay unbearable. I sometimes get Bart even when I first login! I don’t always endure Bart every time I login the game, but still, this is getting ridiculous! Also, sad to hear that other players are also experiencing the same thing. Plus, what’s with the bird chirping as the game loads?
I usually don’t mind mini-events, but this Krusty event is so boring. Same old formula. Login and send 6-7 characters (usually with Homer, Bart, Lisa, Milhouse, and Ned) on a task every 4 hours. Rinse. Lather. Repeat. C’mon, change it up with these events! Add additional 8hr, 12hr, and 24hr tasks for the participating characters that earn event currency. Even add 1hr tasks for players who like logging into the game every hour. Last year’s Halloween event (the last good mega-event that Tapped Out has had), sorta did this with some of the characters.
Why isn’t Krusty earning event currency with his tasks? After all, he’s the central figure of this mini-event. Also, why couldn’t the Rabbi and Sophia participate in the event since they are returning characters? I did buy Raheem and the Clown College though. Also, thanks for the 24 donuts.
I’ll still visit this site and the Tapped Out forum to check and see if there’s anything significant, such as a patch or if Gil shows up with an offer. Until then, I’ll resume “Tapping Out” once the Halloween event starts. Hopefully, the L_EA_ZY programmers decides to do something about the disconnecting servers and make the game fun again but it appears they have apathy towards this game as well.

Does someone else have the issue of not being able to exchange Krustyland tickets at the KL entrance anymore? I mean, it’s not a big deal, I have more than enough cash and about 100 K tickets..just being curious!
I haven’t been able to do this for a few months.
I can use the tickets to purchase krustyland stuff, but no exchange.
I too have lots of cash, so I don’t need to exchange. I was wondering if that had something to do with it.

Was finally able to stay connected and it worked for me. I exchanged 3500 tickets for $10000. I checked my bank and it did increase by 10000 as expected.
Weird – I’m still able to make the exchange…
Fire up game…disconnect…retry…disconnect…relaunch game….I’m in…tap a few things…disconnect….

Yep same here its getting ridiculous now trying to get in long enough to actually play the game.
Try hard closing the app. That seems to work better for me when I have this problem.
It takes 4 dumps and reconnects now to clear and reset my town…pretty frustrating. Making me 🦀🦀🦀🦀.

Didn’t really know or care about bonus XP in this game until recently, when I discovered I was sitting at 46% with lots of bonus XP-generating buildings and decorations in storage. Now, thanks to an embarrassment of Flaming Torches and Badminton Courts I’ve broken 600%, I have the XP collider going full-time bringing it up to 3,000%, a 42-strong KEM farm, and I’m slowly working my way through the Yearbook Mystery Box for more characters and costumes. Life is good.
