Gather ’round the tapping device everyone, it’s update time in TSTO! A little Halloween preview is live in our games! While this is a mini-event it’s still a new event in our games! Of course, an all-new event means all-new premium content in our stores, just tempting us to drop those pink sprinkles!
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the M’nthster and R’lyeh to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Hallow-Richard combo to your town…
Building/Decoration: R’lyeh (Bermuda Triangle Lair) (also comes with Sunken Temple if you don’t already have it)
Character: M’nthster
Donut Cost: 200 Donuts
Size: 9×9
Earns: $135, 15xp/4hrs
Conform-O-Meter: Vanity +400
Can Be Placed: Ocean only.
WDTCF?: S25, E2 “Treehouse of Horror XXIV” and S27, E4 “Halloween of Horror”
Leaves stores October 9th, 2019
Pros
-Helps with the event, earns a special premium rate (the only character to do that)
-8 and 24 hr visual tasks.
-12hr joint task with Cthulhu
-Will use R’yleh for tasks
-Comes with a questline
Pro or Con:
-R’yleh disappears into the ocean when not in use. (reappears when M’nthster is on a task there)
Cons
-Not voiced
-CRAZY expensive
-Not Springfield canon.
Final Thought
Overpriced for sure. This is one of those “nice to haves”, not must-haves in my opinion. Unless you’re a hardcore M’nthster fan…pass.
Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as a premium player, I already picked it up, although I really thought about it before I grabbed it. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

I bought the bundle, but when I placed R’yleh, I could not find the Sunken Temple. I don’t already own it. I looked in my storage box, but couldn’t find it there either. Is there a task I might have to do to unlock it?
They all look great together in the ocean. I just wish we had some spooky pier tiles. Broken down with cobwebs or something. To have a haunted area in the ocean to match with all those pirate ships!

Remember Tapping hard to get M’nthster and R’lyeh? [FYI – R’lyeh is a Sunken City – hence the reason you could Tap to see it disappear / reappear in the Ocean – and is the Prison for the Elder God, Cthulhu!] 😀👍
Remember how much fun THOH 2015 Event was, but you wanted M’nthster as a playable Character vs only being an interactive Decor attached to R’lyeh? (Yep! That’s me! I spent those 200 sprinkles and will Farm them back in 4 Days!) 😀👍
If YES, you will spend the 200 sprinkles and enjoy those visual Tasks with Cthulhu and M’nthster – and you can complete your Fogbury Port section in Springfield (hey comes with 2nd Sunken City!)😀👍
If NO, please don’t bother to keep reading, but please don’t complain that you’re getting an incomplete experience in this Mini-Event (L-EA-Z-Y isn’t giving it all away for free!) 😒👎

M’nthster is the ONLY Character that earns Event Currency at a Premium rate (worth it if you want to complete this Mini-Event faster!)
Visual Tasks are fun (joint Task with Cthulhu – yay!)
What was once part of Decor, is now a playable Character (complete your Fogbury Port experience with a Sunken Temple in the ocean, too!) Not voiced, but do I want to turn on the volume and hear that 🚽 flushing sound? [Will L-EA-Z-Y deal with this? only if enough of you complain to EA!]😂

I don’t like the fact we got to spend 200 sprinkles to unlock M’nthster as a playable Character …. but then again, I don’t feel Sarah Wiggum was worth 300 sprinkles! (she was an overpriced / unvoiced 150 🍩’s Character that didn’t come with anything else experience – and that criticism stays, because I still feel L-EA-Z-Y cheated Tappers, even if she’s Simpson’s canon! (lol!) 😂
If this Mini-Event isn’t for you? If you hated THOH 2015? Please save up your 🍩’s for something else (technically Cthulhu is a blip on the radar of a Guest Star, an Easter Egg, and not a Springfield Resident – until now in TSTO!) You are allowed to wait and see what comes next from L-EA-Z-Y, just don’t be surprised if it’s “meh” for you, also!😒👎
Do have fun creating a section in TSTO for Fogbury Port (I have!), as you’ll soon forget about Krusty’s Last Crap (lol!) 😀👍
FYI – I use to go “meh I will get these Premiums when they’re eventually added to the Mystery Box!” – but guess what? L-EA-Z-Y caught on to this! (not a lot of new Premiums are available in the Mystery Box, and who knows how long it will be if they ever do!) 🤔

I bought it… it seats nicely in my ocean… yup.. back when you could do the glitch of placing items in the ocean…… now I don’t think you can do that anymore… correct me if am wrong please… I don’t really remember how to do it.. lol..
I think you placed boardwalk tiles, placed stuff on them, then removed the tiles. I wish it still worked…was kinda neat having people sometimes carrying out tasks “walking on the water”.
My only problem with this is that it’s “water-based” – I cannot really plan a good use for it in water, would have looked so much better on land…
Honestly, don’t really have a look in water. It’s just swirling water…bcause it’s not visible unless the M’nthster is on a task there
After debating weather I should spend the donuts here, or save them to see Sandytoes74 snap (due to a poor effort for the THOH event), I opted to spend my donuts here. After all, I am not sure we can trust EA on coming through and having a poor enough THOH event.
I do think I have enough leftover, just in case 😉.
They have to do something else….theres still so much time and they always bring back the hanging skeleton trees and pumpkins AND AND change the water all gross green and the trees all autumny…

The Halloween 2015 event was the first Halloween event I could appreciate, as I started in Halloween 2014, so this was a must buy for anyone who loved that event.
It’s rare I set 24hr tasks so I guess I’ll only see R’lyeh in all its’ glory once more as I run through the questline after finishing the mini-event
He also uses Dracula-La Land for his 1 hour task if you have it.
If you buy him, does that mean he will no longer appear on top of the Sunken Temple when you tap it? I read someone’s comment last week that confused me. Seemed to say having him as a playable character meant that the animation of splooshing him on & off the Sunken Temple would disappear, so I’ve been putting off getting it until I knew.
He comes off the temple and becomes playable in Springfield. He’ll reappear on the temple when you send him on his 24hr task
Having near unlimited donuts and Halloween 2015 being my first TSTO Halloween event I had to get It. The M’thnster character is awesome. Anything Halloweeny is good for me. 200 donuts is a lot, but for me TSTO is for Halloween. I wait all year for it. In only wish he became even bigger for his visual task.

The lair is not. The other item it comes with is, but you only get that if you don’t already have it.
