So I’m a little late to the party on this…my apologies. I was picking kids up from school, feeding them dinner, and getting them ready for bed. But this evening there was an in-game update…as many of you commented…that repaired a few things (Wailing walls and donuts)…
First, as many…many…many…of you have told me via the comments, the Wailing Wall for $1000 has been PATCHED. It’s no longer available to purchase for in-game cash, it now costs 50 donuts. A massive mistake on EA’s part, and hopefully you were able to take advantage before it was fixed.
For those of you upset about this…don’t be. We all knew it was a mistake when it was released, so we knew it would be corrected at some point. Honestly, it’s nice to see EA fixed it so quickly. It means they still give a damn about the game. The patch is a good thing.
Second, it looks like they may have fixed the donut issue. The donut store now shows the bonus donuts for the Truckload purchase, so I believe the coding was corrected. If not, contact EA. If you’re still having trouble getting a refund from an earlier purchase contact your app store directly. They’ll refund you. More info on all of this here.
Waiting for Pat to get back to me to see if they increased the item limits with this patch…i’ll let you know once I know.
So we get a new update and straight away the game crashes after 15 minutes time after time and also the town portrait goes through the whole process and then sais something has gone wrong,unable to view when both were working fine on my S10 plus in the UK before.
I just dont understand how they can keep unfixing the same old problems. My BT hub is very fast and reliable so it has to be EA at fault.

Contact EA directly. Some have reported it worked for them on iOS, so it may be down to individual devices now.

I had been waiting for this kind of glitch for a while and immediately purchased as many wailing walls (more than 4000) as possible before the update. My multiplier is now 10 300% 🙂
I missed out on taking advantage of the wall price error, bummer! To boost my xp the old fashioned way of buying premium items, is there any better deal than the jet engine bike which gives 2% and I can currently purchase for the discounted price of 20 donuts from the vault?
I was wondering how long it normally take for support to roll back your game? I’ve been dealing with support for almost a week now, 10/20 start date and still waiting. The support person usually doesn’t reply to my emails for like 20 hours so the time is really dragging on IMO. I do understand they are GMT +1 however it shouldn’t take so long I would think.
It depends on the person you get. I had one done…years ago…and it was instant. But that was with a support person in the US.
Wish I could find some way to contact someone higher up the ladder to help me. Right now they are offering 50 donuts/week rolled back for my inconvenience. I’m going to try and see if I can get more since this has really been dragging on. Miss the good old days of support in the US.
I’ve not been able to even get my Springfield to try and load since 7:30 am on the 24th. Is this a Matinance thing? I reported it every couple of hours all day long still nothing from EA. Even tried the ole uninstall/ reinstall. No dice. I’m FREAK’N OUT!!!

EA gave me three case workers and now telling me to ask iOS for a refund 🙄
A problem that can damage the pockets of the EA: fixed in less than 12 hours
A problem that damages the gaming experience with continuous crashes: fixed in ….. never!

Just wanted to share – I filed a case about my missing donuts that were purchased AFTER the patch. I waited 24 hours per EA’s directions to see if they would get loaded. They didn’t. Filed a case, and the help desk called me back.
He was very nice and apologized for my inconvenience, but said they were working on it and that it was a wide spread problem. And to please be patient.
It’s interesting, because this is my third interaction with EA customer service on a call over the years, and both times prior they just fixed my game and called it good. So I’m going to try to just cancel my purchase now.
I am very disappointed, this is the first time that I purchased donuts and NEVER received them ! First purchase was for the truckload of 300 @ $19.99, the purchase was successful but I didn’t look to see if the donuts were in my game a bit later I decided that I would buy another truckload of 300 donuts again for $19.99. The purchase was successful also and when I look at my total donuts BOTH purchases of 300 donuts (total of 600 donuts) were NOT THERE ! I checked my bank and both purchases were paid, but I didn’t receive anything from either purchase. I went to the site to report a problem, and I decide to request a refund because I was P—– ! The site indicated that this purchase was refunded BUT 2 days later the $19.99 was NOT refunded, SO i decided to ask for a refund the second purchase, this time I received the notice PENDING.
I doubt if I will make another purchase anytime soon, because of this treatment . I paid $39.98 and received NOTHING, and HAVE NOT RECEIVED EITHER PAYMENT.
Purchased a load of walls and took my multiplier from 1k to 4k. It’s really a different game like this…bonuts all the time. Cash too…the wailing walls have a good payout and clumped together can be cleared quickly. Making 5-6 million a day now. Weirdly, sort of feels like endgame now.
So, turned on the XP accelerator for the next ten days, suspect this may become permanent. Now 1xp is 215 xp, and when I use the finger statue to clear my town I get ten rounds of bonuts and 20 million cash. Wow.
I did the same thing lol, it takes 5 Kwick-E-Marts to bonus level up twice and get 6 doughnuts
I bought about 100 and figured I would go back in today. Curses EA! Guess I’m glad I got some in time!
Spoke House and Spooky Cabin don’t seem to have the house price acceleration like blue/brown/pink/etc. Stays at 1k. Just built Spooky Suburbs, 12×16 of Spooky Houses 🙂 Not as big a bump as the Wailing Walls but get them while you can!
“Spooky” not “Spoke”, d’oh! And I just increased that farm to 22×28 🙂
There is a trick to placing the Spooky Houses. If you let the autoplacer do its thing, the houses will move randomly, making it hard to get a dense grid. If you start at the upper corner and fill along the right edge of the land edge first, while the first few will try to place randomly, if you move them into a neat column along the right edge, after 2-3 the rest will place nicely in that column. Then use that column as the right-hand border and continue placing columns from right to left. You’ll still have to place a few manually at the start of each column.
Knew this was gonna happen. Good thing I took advantage of it as much as I could. Combined with getting God, my XP bonus increased from over 1500% to over 2200%. Around a 700% increase in one day!
EA can quickly add a patch to the Wailing Walls price, yet can’t add a patch that fixes the Bart Screen and that bird noise that occurs when the game loads?! Ay Caramba! If the patch did all of the above, I wouldn’t be too upset.
