Strange things.. I looked at my phone this evening around 10:30 pm MDT and saw and update in the App Store for the Simpsons Tapped Out Treehouse of Horrors.. V4.40.1 update size 64.9MB
The update description is the original one when the event started.
Nothing about fixes or anything. Has anyone else got this update for iPhone
Could be the donut purchase patch
It was an instant update.. didn’t take any time at all… so I guess it could have been. The info for the update didn’t say anything other than the event information.
I am hoping that the patch might include losing donuts from farming, task collection, and building collections. That has been my issue now for 2 months.
I was awarded donuts this morning and so far they have been holding.. So I will give farming a try.. having over 700mil ingame cash I can afford to spend on farming to get my donuts up.
I’ve reached the point in the yearbook where I get four choices rather than five. Everytime I refresh, it’s four items. Not complaining, just curious! Does it mean there’s a certain number of items left?

I don’t understand what “it dies dunk Judy means”
Is anyone else having an issue with Springfielders being released from their tasks? I had a daily task to send Springfielders to do something, and even though the task is completed, and I’ve already collected on it, they aren’t released for other use. Every time I re-open the app, I collect on the task all over again, but still don’t get the characters released for other tasks. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app.
That is because there is a glitch with the Krusty Burger Building. You have to put your Original Krusty Burger building in storage and then they will be released. You then can put the building back.
Keep an eye on your donuts. you may find that you can collect from buildings and tasks.. but they will vanish when you leave and come back into the game.
For those with the wishful thinking that BSOD was over… I just got it while collecting income from buildings…
I’ve had it a couple of times over the last few days, still much better than previously!!
I will give you that. It is less frustrating than it has been… I miss the days that you could go to your neighbors and whatever xp and cash was still floating around would auto collect.
it seems that the Glitch was patched right away…. I only have the small walls that give .05% bonus for 1k in-game cash…. but I already had 5k donuts, so no biggie… RT farming mixed with KEM Farming sounds like a good strategy… 🙂
In other news – HOW ABOUT THEM NINERS!!!!! 7-0… am just waiting to wake up!! am I right?!… Hopefully they become the new dynasty again… take over from the Pats… and that’s about it from the sports section… lol baseball is not a sport… but.. yaay go team (enter name of your favorite team here) go… swing the bat with skill to hit the ball that took skill to throw… woohoo… back to the news Milo…

I missed out on taking advantage of the wall price error, bummer! To boost my xp the old fashioned way of buying premium items, is there any better deal than the jet engine bike which gives 2% and I can currently purchase for the discounted price of 20 donuts from the vault?
I don’t believe there is a better deal donuts to percentage. Always worth buying a few bikes when it comes up in the vault.
Jet bikes are the best. Not only they’re ALMOST the best donut-to-xp ratio items, but it’s much easier to hide them behind buildings rather than channel 5 vans or I&S billboards 😊

I like the current store offering of tentacle trees for 18 donuts each. They carry a 1% bonus each. So a 2% bonus increase for 36 donuts. Not great but not bad. The good thing about it is you can put trees you already are using in storage and just replace them with the tentacle trees. The tentacles are bigger so they cover more area and therefore will count less towards item limits. If you have a lot of donuts and in game cash I would recommend buying them while you can.
I’m glad it’s SAFE to visit my Neighboreenos (hopefully it stays that way) because I miss visiting all of you ….. and seeing your Halloween Lands 🖤🦇

Did anyone else see Kamla in the aliens section on the character list? I wonder how we’ll get her and what tasks she’ll have. I imagine one would involved her “Carrying a brood” or somethin’ along those lines.
Would EA Sports add a simple feature of a garbage can to delete unwanted clutter in out towns and inventories? Anyone who has an in there, this would be a simple addition and ultimately make gameplay better for everyone by reducing each players town file size on the servers. And it would be a welcome addition when trying to go through inventory looking for items without going through a couple hundred wooden barrels or rock piles. If we can’t sell something let us delete it!!
i conducted a RTT test today – placed 42 in one shot and collected ALL without getting kicked out !
Re: the Event – While I would have appreciated crafting for new decorations, I am happy with the decor for cash from past events – I was a new tapper during THOH 2017, so most of the items are new for me.
Both Mystery Boxes are cleared out – looking forward to what’s coming next.

I only said hello to Lemmy whenever he was at the Rainbow (and wasn’t occupied) I left Silverlake / Hollywood in ’98 (it was time) I can only say the top of the Park View Plaza was the place to be “back in the day” 😉
Have been here and playing the game for a long while. I took advantage of the wailing walls glitch and properly boosted my bonus % to over 10000% from about 2000%
Definitely it is a double edged sword because the more there is to collect the longer it takes and while I don’t regret taking advantage of the glitch I have already stored almost all of what I bought because the time it takes to collect takes the fun out of the game
I will use the added bonus as and when I need to.
To all the donut farmer sceptics and who think that it is killing the game (which for the record I think it has) why oh why did EA set it up to be abused in the first place? They had the levels and could have stayed with that and no one would have played any differently.
A big thanks to all the guys who run this site, I have been playing this game for long enough to know what it brings on every update but that doesn’t stop me from looking here on a daily basis because of the community you have brought together ♥️
Since the BSOD situation has abated I’d like to invite my neighboreeno’s to visit my newly re’vamped’ Transylvania. The bramble hedge maze is still a work in progress but already better than I expected. The best part so far? Characters can actually walk through the wailing faces! You’ll have to scroll a bit to find it, it’s opposite my SH.

Really happy with all the returning content for this event. I’m hoping that whatever the second mystery box is that drops next week has some premium items I want. I’ve been reticent to spend any donuts on the yearbook until I see more of what’s coming but haven’t been able to find spoilers online.
I agree with the returning content being available. I’m happy that some of it is available for cash and the rest of it is in the mystery boxes. I got the Monster’s Castle in a mystery box at the moment and there is an item from last year that I’ll be getting in the next act according to the calendar rather than donuts. There are some more items from last year that I’m hoping will be returning in this event.

Don’t want to jinx it, but has EA finally (albeit quietly) patched the Bart Screen? The past two days and this morning, I have not experienced the Bart Screen of Death every time I’ve logged into the game. I still cautiously only farm 3 Tiki Farms at a time since I still don’t trust the game’s server.
Got the last prize (Zia Simpson) this past Friday. Until act 2 arrives, I’m sending all my characters on their 24 hr tasks (if they have them or if the require another characters). God’s 24 hr task is really worth it.
In non-Simpsons/TSTO news, the World Series is now tied 2-2 (with the road team winning each time) for those who are still following baseball.

You don’t have to be cautious. If the Bart screen shows up, you log back in and continue collecting.
It’s a big annoyance for sure, and I’m glad it is fixed, but you don’t lose anything when it happens.
I do…or did, because it does seem like it’s been fixed. When it was happening, I’d buy many rat trap trucks, and maybe after three or four rounds, I’d get BSOD’d. Log back in, I’d get 2 rounds and my XP bar would be reset to zero. Never continues with additional rounds, even thought prior to BSOD screens, I’d have many rounds.

I’m in a position where I can earn over 100 million in cash each day and a substantial amount of donuts without KEM farming. I don’t need to spend any money in game (not that I have spent much in all the years I’ve been playing)
I would like the opportunity to purchase some more characters who haven’t appeared again, like the Barflies, so I can complete some more character sets
I will wait untill the event is over and the more than 100 tasks I have built up are completed before I nuke my town and rebuild, as I’ve been shoving buildings and items haphazardly
I’m just missing a little bit of land at the bottom, which I should have I’m a few weeks
Whilst I miss the “old style” tapping events, visiting friends towns etc, I was getting a bit fed up with that formula before they abandoned it. Now, I’d love it to return! But, trying to be positive, it is nice to have a “no pressure’ event that doesn’t rely on logging every four hours or missing a prize
It would be lovely if EA could offer a couple of big, old school events a year, and offer the new format at other times.
On a less positive note, I decided to invest some real money in the game yesterday, in the spirit of trying to keep EA interested ( spent loads on it in the past, zilch in the last 12 months). Bought a golden scratch card, paid for a golden scratch card and didn’t get it 🙁

This week in TSTO has been good for me but mainly as a result of the glitch with the wailing walls allowing me to boost my bonus %age. The actual event is ok, the prizes pretty irrelevant to the Halloween theme. I think the Halloween decorations available for in game cash are probably the best thing so far. Hopefully next part of the act is a bit more halloweenish!

This THOH has been the biggest disappointment thus far. I have been playing since 2013. Sounds like the end is near.
The Simpsons have begun their descent since season 12. I have 1250 donuts and nothing worth spending on.

Go on hiatus. Take up yoga, skating, or any fun legal physical activity. Come back in a year or two. Than, use those doughnuts spinning the wheel of mystery boxes to get the premium items that you missed. You can uninstall the game if you need the space on your device, just don’t forget your login info.
