Halloween has finally arrived in Springfield, but with Kodos and Kang involved will it be full of Treats or lots of Tricks? We’ll have to read the dialogue to find out…
THOH XXX follows the same event structure of the Multi-Events before it. This event consists of 4 parts (or Acts), with each part lasting a week and taking us through a new part of the event!
For Week 1, Act 1, we’re following what happens when Kodos and Kang try to unclog the drain, and take over Springfield! All of the prizes unlocked during week 1 play a role in that storyline.
So let’s take a look at prizes 2 through four on the THOH XXX Prize track…Hugo (or Donuts), Robot Homer, and Blinky Monster (or donuts)…
First up, prize 2, Hugo…or a dozen donuts if you already have Hugo…
How You Unlock it:
Operation Clogged Drain Pt. 2
Make Kang Laugh Maniacally- 8hrs
Make Kodos Uncover the Simpsons Secret- 8hrs
Collect McGuffin Disks- x100.
Details for prize 2, Hugo (a full character, NOT a skin for Bart), can be found here. As this is an item that was already released as a prize (crafting) back in 2014, no sense in breaking it down again. If you need info on it everything will be on the post from 2014.
If you already have Hugo you’ll earn 12 donuts, pretty straight forward 🙂

What Does it Do?: Animated when tapped, rocks back and forth in the chair until he falls over. It makes me chuckle every time…

I had Hugo for 5 years now and he’s a pretty decent character. Robot Homer is a classic item and has some fun uses on where he could go. Blinky Monster and the Scary Dock are probably the best of the 3 because it was originally a Gil deal that cost 170 donuts (probably 90 donuts for the bonus % on the decoration and the remaining 80 for Blinky Monster), he has great visuals with his 1 hour one being the best and he’s probably the only way to get Blinky as a character.
Enjoying the event, hope the next one had a different format but I Am Not Being Picky. So I had to have Frankenstein and Juliastein from the prize box. I had to go through every item until I finally got them. That wiped out my donut stock so I’m now saving for Xmas. I will be making a donut purchase when the special comes. Thank you to all the admins for their hard work on the blog.
Thanks a lot Alissa. I got the robot (whom I don’t recall) and 24 donuts which will be “wasted” speeding through week 2 😅

No seriously, today was hell trying to sign back in via the origin account (I did get tech help via Twitter, but found out there is a server problem effecting every single EA game platform – mobile, pc, console – it’s definitely hamsters on a hamster wheel handling matters at EA) 🙄
I have a question about the Evil Shopkeeper, I got the House of Evil, but not the Shopkeeper. How do we get him? The Talking Krusty Doll I also don’t have. So…what? how? where? WHO???? 🙂
Unfortunately they’re now bundled so there’s no way to get it unless EA unbundles it
Oh, d*mn. Thanks for the reply. This is a bit sad, I love to had the Eeeeeevil Shopkeeper…he’s sneaky crawly funny. There are several bundles that are available but again, I have parts of them soooo, it’s the whole bunch and no seperate deals then.

Is it just me, or do the prizes have nothing to do with anything even vaguely “Halloween”? (Except for the premium Monkey’s Paw stand). Or have anything to do with each other? Seems like we’re just getting a bunch of random stuff, old stuff and token donuts thrown at us with no attempt to establish any kind of cohesive theme for this event. (Is it really an event?) No matter how many times they do it, four Minis in a row will never take the place of a real event. With all the complaints we had about the Jessica Buttons Halloween, at least the prizes all went together and made some sense. Makes me miss even the stupidest (Bart Royale) old events.

I agree totally. I think the game is basically done now with no more real events. It’s like EA is just cleaning out closets before moving on.

I agree that so far not much seems to be related to Halloween in this event because so far there are 3 new items related to Halloween along with Monkey’s Paw Stand and the seller, Robot Homer also is Halloween related since he’s from the same episode. Krubb seemed like he was leftover from the buttons event and Zia could’ve been added in the future event. I’d rather get land tokens then donuts as prizes since without GGR they are much harder to earn. Maybe we’ll get something new and different for Christmas and see if the game makes it into 2020.
Unrelated but I recently seen a great use of Robot Homer online which is useful to anyone struggling to find somewhere for him. I’m hoping to do something similar.

It’s not you, it’s EA-pic Fail’s fault (if you want true THOH content? It costs Simpson’s $ and sprinkles – it’s partially my biggest criticism …. but I do thank EA for returning Items and not making Tappers craft for it!) 🙂
I’m glad they brought back Hugo, both for newer players and for longer-term ones who are playing multiple Springfields. He has some great tasks and has the bonus of helping out on some of the “make Simpsons family do…” tasks.
