Despite the calendar showing November, it’s still Halloween in Springfield! And it’ll be that way for a few more weeks…and we shouldn’t be surprised after all EA warned us!
“Isn’t it sad when Halloween ends and all you have to show for it is a bucket of candy? Well, fear not! The new Treehouse of Horrors update for Tapped Out starts this Wednesday and will scare you deep into November!”
Anyway…back to the prizes at hand…
THOH XXX follows the same event structure of the Multi-Events before it. This event consists of 4 parts (or Acts), with each part lasting a week and taking us through a new part of the event!
For Week 2, Act 2, we’re following what happens when Zia strikes a deal with the Devil Dracula! All of the prizes unlocked during week 2 play a role in that storyline.
So let’s take a look at prizes 1 through four on the THOH XXX Prize track…Haagen Death, Dracula (or donuts), Dracula’s Castle, and Werewolf (or donuts)…
First up, prize 1, Haagen Death…
How You Unlock it:
Prelude to a Powermove Pt. 1
Make Zia Simpson Set Up Business Meeting- 8hrs
Make Kang Learn to Use Cell Phone- 8hrs
Collect Beating Hearts- x50.
Other Details:

Earns: $150, 13xp/8hrs
Conform-O-Meter: Gluttony +10
Can Be Placed: grass|pavement|boardwalk|pier|dirt
Task: Bart has a 4hr task there, “Get Brain Freeze”
What Does it Do?: Animated when in use. Lights turn on.
WDTCF: “Throw Grampa from the Dane” S29, E20
And finally, prize 2, Count Dracula…or a dozen donuts if you already have the Count…
How You Unlock it:

Make Kang Act Intimidating- 8hrs
Make Kodos Get Brain Freeze From Ice Cream- 8hrs
Make Zia Simpson Negotiate a Deal- 8hrs
Collect Beating Hearts- x100.
Details for prize 2, Count Dracula, can be found here. As this is an item that was already released in 2017 as a prize, no sense in breaking it down again. If you need info on it everything will be on the post from 2017.
If you already have Dracula you’ll earn 12 donuts, pretty straight forward 🙂

Once achieved you’ll unlock Dracula’s Castle…

Size: 8×12
Build Time: 4hrs
Earns: $150, 13xp/8hrs

Task: Burns has a 4hr task there, “Attend A Stakeholders Meeting”
What Does it Do?: Animated when in use. Lights turn on.

Make Count Dracula Call Monster Friends- 8hrs

Wow. This really sucks. Two dozen donuts for two characters that probably cost me 200 last year. And everyone else gets them for free?

I got Howl Hill and the Werewolf late yesterday so it was nice to get a returning item instead of donuts. I haven’t designed Howl Hill or went through Werewolf’s questline yet but I probably will do both before the next act starts.

Dracula’s Castle is a nicely designed building and has a good animation with the lights and bats but it would’ve been better if the Draculas’ used it instead of just Mr. Burns who has many 4 hour tasks but hopefully it’ll change in the future (I’m not holding my breathe for it to happen but it would be nice EA).

I’ve had Dracula since the magic event 2 years ago when he first got added and it’s great that he is key to this event since all the other returning prizes have just been unlocked and moved on. I still love his visuals and his tasks at the House of Evil and Bloodmobile.

Haggen Death is a nice little building that fits well next to the House of Evil and works as a nice ice cream store in a Halloween area. The animation with the silhouettes on the front and side window is interesting. Just like Dracula’s Castle, I wish there was more tasks here instead of just one for Bart who already has many 4 hour ones. At least it does work in a design though.

Nope seeing other reports. I think it’s a patch for the donut buying…doesn’t do anything else and only available on iOS.

I also had the update notification on iOS, and after updating i received a message in game reading like „thanks for waiting while we were repairing the game, you‘ve got 60 free donuts“. Thanks EA.
I got the update on Android, and then it got weird.
My game went from $430 million to the MAX in-game currency of $4+ BILLION immediately. I’ve spent down a couple of million and there’s some weird bug which keeps inflating my game-cash back to the max.
Ironically, this is taking the fun out of my goal to cash-up after emptying out the Yearbook while still having a big pile of donuts left over….
Does currency carry over? If you need 5 and are making 45 does the 40 remain ‘earned’?
Not that i’ve seen.
Every new bit of the quest starts back at zero and they all earn in the same place. The only way to carry over is to stagger the start and time your collect to get what is needed then get the extras a little later.
If they were in different locations that would be so much easier, and if you get the timing wrong you collect everything and lose the extras

I will have Farmed every 🍩 spent this Week by Sunday (and then prep for Act 3 / Week 3)
2nd Act was better then the 1st (and – yes – I got all the Act Prizes this morning!) 😉
I agree, act 2 is much better. I think the artists just really like drawing castles, but at least there are no robots😆🤖😆.
I liked Week 1 but maybe it’s because I got a ton of new characters (I’ve not played many events)

Got countess burns but don’t see a task for Dracula castle, doesn’t seem right that Dracula doesn’t have a task there to activate the castle animation, totally spoiling my creativity
The only reason I wanted Dracula’s castle was to draw the Count and Countess to Transylvania instead of roaming Springfield. That’s totally ridiculous they don’t have tasks there and Mr. Burns who has an insane number of 4hr tasks already does. And great, another 4hr task for Bart at Haagen Death. Grrrrrrr!
I did however want someone besides Homer and Ned to animate Dracula la land which is very cool lit up. Will at least one of them have a permanent task there?

Just earned the werewolf since I hadn’t picked him up previously. I have been getting quite a few donuts as reward however. Also picked up God, cleared out the mystery box… ok, so I’ve picked up all premiums this event. Hoping for Evil Shopkeeper!
