It’s Wednesday..and that means time for a new week of Halloween to start in Springfield! (Note a slight time change with this week, as EA didn’t account for Daylight savings time ending in the files…hopefully after Halloween ends it’ll go back to normal)
Also, important…seeing lots of reports that you guys are missing your neighbors. They’ll come back, so don’t panic. Just a server glitch. Give it some time and they’ll come back. (mine are still there)
Things kick off for week 3 with some dialogue between Zia and Marge (among others)…
Marge: I don’t want to be a bother but can we have some water? It’s so hot being captured and housed in these mines.
Zia Simpson: Sorry, Grandma. I didn’t know my stable of monsters would take over Springfield and you.
Marge: Destroying Springfield is bad. But worse… could you stop calling me Grandma?!
Frankensteins Monster: *thrusts a flaming torch*
Bart: I thought Frankensteins were afraid of fire.
Frankensteins Monster: Frankenstein work through his fire issues.
This triggers the week 3 questline, Once Bitten, Twice Die, and is followed by a 8hr tasks for Kang, Kodos and Zia, as well as a task to collect Week 3 Currency (50). Once Bitten, Twice Die is the questline that will take you through unlocking all of the Week 3 prizes.
Let’s take a look at what else is in store during week 3…
Here’s EA’s synopsis for Act 3/Week 3:
Count Dracula uses the device to summon the help of villains from Grimm Fairytales and together they conquer Springfield.
Dracula crowns himself Lord Dracula and betrays Kang and Kodos. In an effort to get revenge, Kang and Kodos team up with the Simpsons family and escape Dracula’s prison. They launch a counterattack to stop Dracula but in the crossfire Dracula’s machine takes the children’s souls.
As I stated above, you’ll basically go right into the Once Bitten and Twice Die questline, which is what the week 3 story will follow. This questline is how you’ll unlock the Week 3 (Act 3) prizes.

You can contact them if you’d like. It’s widespread though, so there’s nothing they can do directly to your game. It’s a glitch in the server. But reporting it never hurts 🙂

If you place the woods correctly, you can run a path thru the middle with the mushrooms growing on the path. I put it over the path to Drac’s Castle.😁

Got the first prize, it’s not very halloweeny so I put it on an island in the middle of a body of water, Looks ok in this context.
Looks like the two new buildings (I already have the others) will end up in Angelica Buttons World somewhere. The three bears house will go well in the existing village…probably put 7 sisters somewhere in the arboretum area next to the magic school? Hmmm…🤔
I think I’m going to make mine an attraction at that gaudy Plato’s casino.
Why do people keep complaining about the price (donuts or cash) of an item they paid in the past? The game has changed. Donuts farming is a reality, which mean a item in the prize track is no more “cheaper” than any other item. Do you hate the idea that some people get for free what might have cost you cash? No one forced you spend the cash. (It is like being upset a road was paved because you had to first travel over a dirt road). Your investment earlier allowed you to “enjoy” the character for all this time. It allowed to fully enjoy the original quest / story line. That someone else gets it now for free shouldn’t change anything (except maybe a better way to spend your time and cash next time).

12 🍩’s isn’t motivating (especially when it’s a Prize that is already in the Mystery Box) it’s a tad L-EA-Z-Y when occurring more then once.
A Building that isn’t THOH enough isn’t motivating (and when it is? you’d expect Character Tasks that are permanent and relevant to THOH Characters – when that doesn’t happen? it sure looks L-EA-Z-Y)
A Character that isn’t even THOH isn’t motivating (it is pure L-EA-Z-Y)
It leaves one to decide what is motivating – a weekly new Premium? a Gil Deal? more 🍩’s to accumulate until something THOH is available via new Mystery Box? buying 🍩’s deals? (well, that was made irrelevant no thanks to L-EA-Z-Y)
So opinions aside, when EA does it right? they deserve thanks (but when they are L-EA-Z-Y? they earn criticism)
Complain all you want about the current / future play.
But if you don’t like the game don’t play. I get it is hard to be excited about 12 donuts when I can get that by farming 3 RTTs. And I don’t like that if you have all the characters you end up with 96 items instead of 100 to go to the next step. (Since I am donuts blessed it doesn’t bother me to spend the 2 donuts to avoid 4 more hours).
But my statement I believe was complaining about how the game was played in the past. Nothing has been promised about the future of the game, you either accept it as it current state or ignore it. That is up to you. 🙂

If TSTO fails by 2020 I have no problems moving on (it’s no longer rewarding for Long Time Tappers who spent real 💰)

Blah. Blergh. Gah. Boourns. Once again, a free character and building for people and a dozen donuts for those of us who already have her and spent 150 donuts for the witch. Yay. At least not as bad as the kick in the teeth from Part 2 character prizes. Ugh. Congrats on those who didn’t spend the donuts the first time around. Condolences for those of you, like me, who did. Not the greatest Halloween storyline this time around. 🙁

I feel you …. I’m just glad we finally get Phantom of the Opera Martin (I’ve wanted this Character for ages!) …. spend sprinkles on G-O-D as it will help vent that frustration!🤘🏻
What I wanna know is where is the spooky music, EA?!? I look forward to that and the trees and water all year long…helps me to adjust to the actual Fall weather 🙂

Yes! Now we all know what a half arse THOH is – no music, no atmosphere, and some semi / semi not THOH Characters and Buildings (and it’s a let down!) 🙄
I spent hours yesterday farming 1000 donuts only to find there’s hardly any new content to spend them on. I thought there would be another THOH mystery box to replace the last 7 day one.
I guess I can buy some Mr burns mystery boxes and boost my bonus % a bit more.

How’d you farm 1000 donuts? Did you got up 1000 levels? (all I know of “Farming” is that it is about getting levels fast). That’s…crazy, lol!
When you t day level 939 you can’t level up anymore but x e every 1 000 000 XP collected you get a chance of 1 to 3 donuts.
To harvest large amounts of XP most people place either Kwik e marts or Rat Trap Trucks and make sure the XP multiplier is own this multiplies your xp earned by 5. Look at the tutorials on this blog on donut farming for more info.

Now, if I had to review THOH over the past 3 Acts? I’d say thanks for 1 Premium / 1 Character Prize, what the deuce with all the 🍩’s ? dumb Buildings! this Event is all kinds of stupid! (ie yeah I got Count Dracula locked in a Task at Dracula’s Castle, only to realize neither Count or Countess Dracula has a permanent Task there – seriously what the deuce L-EA-Z-Y? You 💩 ‘d all over THOH this year by not even trying!) Troll Moe with Forest whatever? It’s barely seen in a THOH Episode to even be considered THOH (not interested!) 🙄
Cthulhu’s Revenge Event was more THOH then this! G-O-D isn’t THOH, but I spent the sprinkles on ’em out of frustration (now I’m Farming 🍩’s – because that’s all I have left to do – and hoping Act 4 / Week 4 doesn’t insult the intelligence!) 😝
And – something more stupid then this? (opinions from my 5th Grade Niece regarding The Little Mermaid 1/2 Live on ABC last night!) OMG like! this is sooooo stupid! like! it’s not even a live production! like whatever! change the channel already – I’ve seen better costumes at Party City! 😂

Act 4
Is the bridge troll a full character or a skin for Moe?

I really like the Moe/troll character. Nice having Lenny and Carl involved in his task line but I won’t be doing it until week 3 is completed. The deep dark woods “building” would look good framed with those really tall trees we got a while back. I’ve had them at the base of the mountains to keep them from blocking other buildings but now that I have some open space, I can bring them out in the open. I already have the gingerbread and pumpkin houses so two of my prizes this week are a dozen donuts, but with GGR, they are easily converted into land tokens.
2 building, 1 character and bridge toll on this one, pity EA didn’t include an actual bridge?
Luckily I have six left over from THOH past.
