Just a reminder that the Treehouse of Horror XXX Event Ends TOMORROW November 20th.
It’s about time Halloween finally left Springfield…we’re only about a week away from Thanksgiving…
As far as questlines go, what’s happened in the past is that the current prize you’re working on (on any questline) you were able to finish. Once that current prize was completed then the questline disappeared.
This means that you will want to make that final push to gather up all the things you want from the Event before it goes with the Event.
As far as what is going to happen AFTER the Event… well, we can’t know… until it is over. Until then all we can do is speculate. So, patience. We all have to verify what happens after together.
Also, It’s EA so who the heck knows…
Now as far as to what is going with the Event, here is a brief rundown…
- Questlines linked directly to the progression of the event will go. Like the Main Questline that pulled you through all 4 Weeks. (unless you’ve started one, any questlines started you’ll be able to finish that part one the event ends)
- However, the questlines linked directly to the prizes and Premium Characters you’ve won will remain. (so Kamala, Lucy Fer Sa’tan, Bridge Troll Moe, etc.)
- The event removal will likely require an app store update to fully remove it from your game. So don’t panic when the timer runs down and the event isn’t out of your game… It may require an app store update to remove everything.
I know some of you still try to push that last few minutes of the collection as far as you can. However, with the last few events, EA has really shut off the ability to play on “borrowed time”. In other words, once the timer runs out the ability to collect prizes ends. So don’t count on getting any extra time with this one. Try to finish everything up before the timer runs out tomorrow morning.
So finish up those questlines, relax, and wait to see what EA has next in store for us.

Built a really cool and big national park which separates springfield from shelbyville and currently working on a kind of “manhattan city” area at the end of the park. Check it out!!!
I loved the event and some of the rewards were great
I really want to get back into designing my town. I had to upgrade my phone to do the town screenshot and I have about 10% scattered in pockets where the design is great. The rest is either empty land, or plops sorted for regions I want to build; Capitol City/Downtown, Shelbyville, desert, farms, Casino strip, rural neighborhoods, even Canada and North Pole.
Had no problem getting all the prizes. What I liked most about the event were the new Rigellians offered and some of the dialogue.
There seem to be a lot of Rigellian fans out there!
Yes I have always been fascinated by aliens in general. And in typical Simpsons fashion, the Rigellians brings lots of laughs!

Can we start some kind of petition to have holiday events begin 3 weeks to a month BEFORE the holiday and end 1-3 DAYS after the event, and not 2 darn weeks after? It is awful having Halloween be over and celebrating it in the game 2 weeks past. We’ve all done our share of complaining about it but EA never resolved the issue. What can we do to get it rectified? Alissa, can you guys start writing more and more “HEY EA” posts about fixing it then we all sound off in the comments? Petition? I feel like it’s not that hard to adjust the dates…. man oh man. What can we diddly do about it gamerinos? All events too long make player go CRAZY!!!

I have stopped playing for 3 weeks but I’m back so quite sad to see that the content was good in fact… just trying to get what I can on act 3 which is the most interesting for me. Can’t wait for my favorite update of the game Christmas

Don’t forget to also go shopping for any limited-time items you want….never hurts to stock up on walls (like spooky walls and castle walls) and fences (like the iron fencing with and without gargoyles) and other stuff that can be used in lots of different ways. Lots of stuff available for cash, which most of us are long on!

I loved it! My play time is limited and so is my Wi-Fi so any event I can finish is great. Now what am I going to do with all these spooky walls?
On paper this was a fairly mediocre event, but the combination of the wailing wall glitch and God’s 24 hour cash cow made it the most wonderful, game breaking event ever IMHO.
These things were definitely a game changed for me too.
I was really hoping troll moe would show up in a last minute bid for our donuts. missed the cutoff on him.
I basically rushed through the event within the first few minutes. Since I have been able to earn unlimited money and doughnuts through the Wailing Walls (6000% bonus), and I can purchase all the premium items as soon as they’re available (and have completely finished the yearbook), I can easily afford to spend doughnuts rushing the tasks
I’m spending doughnuts upgrading my Springfield Heights building and getting monorail pieces
In spite of this, I found the event OK, but not my favourite
Everyone plays the game different, it is different to each player‘s personality and desires for fulfillment. I admit to rushing it here and there, but finished several days ahead without much rushing at all. I have found that playing it as close to real Time as my schedule allows, brings a lot more enjoyment out of the game, as I have time to read the dialogue and let the script plots play out.
Your post here lays out all of the ways that EA Has made it far too easy to subvert actual gameplay…while rendering updates into “meh” because of it.
I have searched old posts to no avail. My apologies if asked/answered before.
Question: is there any way to delete stored items that cannot be “sold.” We have over 1,000 monorail track pieces stored and prizes from old events that don’t work in our town. Thanks in advance for any and all insights.
Unfortunately, not. The good news is, storage is unlimited. So it has no impact on your game if something is in storage.

I used to play it at a normal pace, and always would finish the event within a reasonable time
I do always read the dialogue. Having cleared out the Yearbook, I had over 120 tasks built up which would have taken me months to complete normally as a lot were reliant on the same characters
What I do want to do is to completely raise my Springfield and rebuild it as it had become too haphazard
This will take up a lot of time as I have so many buildings and items. I wanted to do it when I had all the land available (again donuts helped me speed that up) so that I could have an organised structure knowing that I wouldn’t have any rogue bits of land disrupting the structure

Good riddance to this event. Great coverage by tsto, just no fun involved.
Got all the prizes, working on the last storyline. Enjoyed the event, sad to see Halloween go, but ready for what’s next. Really hoping to see a refresh on the Yearbook mystery box. I’ve scored the vast majority of what I want out of it. Like to see some new stuff added in.
Don’t make my usual mistake.
Have a last look at the stuff in store and think if you want to put any by for future designs – it might not be back when you’d want it.
( A Rickety Bridge would really suit Troll Moe, damnit !! )
I also regret not getting more of those bridges when I had the chance. Also wish I would’ve gotten more of the different groupings of people available throughout various events…the Flanders’ , the angry mobs,carolers, cell phone people, etc…..they look good when placed in front of food stands or games on the boardwalk.

Thanks a lot Alissa! I was grateful for the event, but I’m glad it is about to end 😊 principally because of us endgame players’ extreme speed in completing weekly questlines. REAlly appreciating Lucy Fer Sa’tan (or what’s his name) long questline though 😄
