Since the Xmas update almost all of my neighbours have nothing available to for me to help/vandalise. Is anyone else having the same issue?
I have a question about the task manager. So when you buy Old Tut and the Universal Panacea, Robo Burns has a task at the Panacea. So now when you use the task manager it automatically sends him there. Is there any way to get it to change it back to automatically send him on his task with Puppy Dog Smithers?
So I’ve just bought the Christmas lights plunger but it has zero effect on my Springfield’s appearance. Do you have to purchase the skins/facades separately if so where and how much do they cost?
Not best pleased that EA added a premium item to decorations without testing if it works or giving extra instructions as to how to make it work.
Yes. And they’re not available with this event. No idea as to why…but they didn’t re-release them.

Gutted – waste of donuts, can’t help feeling more than a little cheated.
Good news(ish) got my donuts back after raising it as a ‘missing content’ issue with EA. Anybody else finding themselves in the same situation, should do the same.
Opened up the game today to find I can only tap one thing at a time to collect money and xp, and I no longer level up for donuts. But at least the zoom is fixed.
Tried to log in and it just took so long to start I turned it off, first the noise then the black screen, I give up
So… the new update is here… I was late to start the event because of work, I left my paddular device @ home, and I totally forgot about it, but I wasn’t worried because, once I started, I used bonuts to complete the 1st week.. not all the tasks, but only the ones that gave a character, the ones that gave tokens I didn’t rush with bonuts.. And that’s how I am planning on doing the rest of the event.
I have a major presentation that needs to be completed on by Dec 29th and I only have the beginning, this is the culmination of procrastination to the fullest extent.. I may have writers block (all my life) and can’t think of anything, I have the main points, but that’s it… argh.. so frustrating.. I have been saying that I need to work on it for about 6 months now!!
I believe that the problem lies on my lack of enthusiasm, lack of motivation, and part because am not fully committed to the subject…. am going to fall back on my back up plan… “I AM SICK” and skip the whole project. 🙂 .
So quick question.. How much is too much in game currency.. I’ve just hit 1.1 Billion..
The only “too much” is when the game tells you that you have topped out. You have a way to go.

I know where you’re coming from, I’ve got 3.7 billion and thanks to the XP Collider over 4,000 donuts. Maybe I should stop being an Ebenezer and start spending some of them. Bah Humbug
I have such an impulse control problem. Thanks to a decent multiplier (312.50%),spending real money to buy God back at Halloween, and keeping the XP Collider going, I can now expect to get a good number of Donuts every day by placing Rat Trap Delivery Trucks. And I decided to save up to grab the Santa Claus character before Christmas.
But then I saw White Witch Burns in the Yearbook. He looked pretty Christmas-y so, yeah, thought, “Let’s get him.” And I didn’t get him on the first try, so I used up 60 Donuts there. Then I saw French Waiter in the Vault and, sure, he was 50 Donuts but I got 15 back when I bought him. And he’s from one of my favorite gags in the series. So, y’know, I bought him.
Now, I’ve got to really buckle down and not spend any more Donuts so I can get Santa in the next nine days. Can I do it without spending real money!? I sure hope so…!
I’ve never done the rat trap thing, but you could do it with making and selling Kwik-e-Marts every 4 hours easily. You just need a bunch of unused land.
A quick warning about Santa. Unlike previous sales, he does not come with his house. Therefore Santa has no 1-hour, 12-hour, or 24-hour jobs. The house is not available separately.
Drat. That’s what I feared. I was hoping the Brown House would replace Santa’s House in the game if I didn’t have it. In any case, I really want him for his outside animations and, well, he’s Santa! I’ll have to live with what I’m given, I guess. My fault for not playing this game years ago!

Haha, just wanted to share this with you – more than 3 years into one of my games, the Flaw and order quest finally trigged for me!!! From out of nowhere, and more than 1 1/2 year after I tried EA to add Bob manually to my game (which they said that they did twice!) – the bloody questline has started, hallelujah, times of miracles has arrived!!!
Jealous! Bob is the last “main” character that I don’t have yet. Damn! Congrats to you, Mats!

As Fall Semester ends, Fall Finals come to a close, (at least many schools have eliminated the ugly Winter Break, lets give them a term paper)….

He shaved his face… and is still crazy busy. I don’t think we’ll see him here anytime soon, but I hope I’m wrong.

My pink, purple, blue, and orange houses are missing their Christmas skins. I thought I had them all along but now, I actually don’t remember if i had them last year. It’s no biggie. It’s still feels christmassy in my Springfield with all the snow and my murder christmas tree and christmas tree Ralph.
Happy snow days to all, and asking for a little guidance. Just around the same time I finished the first event chapter I tried to visit my neighbors and every town has nothing to tap – not even spray cans over grafitti-able (?) buildings. It hit both my towns, on all devices. Even when I visit my own towns? No dollars over buildings that I know are available, no spray cans, nada. Did I miss a bug blog? Is it…just me?😳 I’ve know idea what broke, but thought I’d check here before I open the dreaded EA ticket.🧐😜 P.S. This also explains to all my wonderful neighbors why I’ve been radio-silent – not for lack of trying!💗💜💗
It is a glitch that several players have. I also have the same problem. Hope it gets fixed soon!
Thanks, Glenntanim11, for the response, and letting me know I’m not alone in the wilderness!😂 I think I’ll lay off the game for 24, maybe wait to see if things return to normal when event chapter two starts, then (if necessary) let EA know. It’s just so weird, as it’s about 80% of my neighbor visits, but not all, and no commonality in towns or playing (that I can see, at least). I, too, hope it gets fixed. Until then, I will enjoy the event, the joys of the season, and wish good tidings to all! ❄️☃️❄️
Merrt Christmas tapping to all and to all a good night. I know we asked for a less challenging game around the Holidays but I think we have gone too far in the direction of simplified. I long for the old games where there was interaction in our friends towns.
I’m happy that I can fit it in around work, however I miss neighbour interactions. The days of dropping off presents were such fun……..🍁🧡X

I can only tap about 5 min max before falling asleep. IDK if it’s the screen. Or the lag. Or the game. Or me. Makes Me farming almost impossible. Thankfully, I don’t need to do it much. After 6 years I may be tapping out.
This has been going on for the last year or 2.
I hope everyone gets enough snow (both in Springfield and the ‘real world’), would be awesome spending Christmas in the snow! In much of Australia we are looking at above 40 °C (104°F) for most of the week ahead, could hit 50°C (122°F) inland and break some unwanted temperature records… would be grateful if you wouldn’t mind please sharing some of your snow!
This coming Wednesday Dec 18th In my part of Ontario Canada forecast says.. Low of (negative) -18 Celsius/0.4 fahrenheit. Also 15 cm of snow. possible. You are welcome here. Come shovel my driveway and dress really warm lol
Where can we get Christmas skin for the nuclear plant, and a few others I saw scrncapped a few days ago. I didn’t even know they came with skins 🤯. Where do I get these at?
Doesn’t look like EA brought them back this year, but there’s still 3 weeks left of the event- maybe we’ll get a Christmas miracle.
Same here. I might be wrong – it happens with alarming frequency – but apparently there was/is a plunger that you tap to turn lights on (swap skins) but for those of late to the game it appears we just have to envy those with extra skins when visiting neighboreenos.
Shopping
Lisa and I have a ‘date’ this week to shop for each other. Buy exactly what we want (we both need nw wallets) and then off to lunch.
Friends and family shopping is finished.
Only five more party/gatherings to attend.
And come January, my garage door opener and door will be installed
AND, I get to call about Jury Duty.
For those who never have been selected and served,
Jury Duty is an exhausting experience. So much effort, concentration and responsibility.

I have a neighbor who has been absent for more than a year. I keep hoping that they will return. I still visit. And tap. And after a period of time, buildings once again become available to tap.
Anyone know how long it takes to ‘regenerate’?
I can even ‘tag’ and it will clear.
I thought buildings regenerated at the beginning of each new event… but I could be wrong. I too have some neighbours who seemed to have moved out… maybe EA has been putting up tax rates randomly in some Springfields 😁
