Should I Spend Donuts On the Returning Circus of Values, The Screens, Igloo Mansion, Boat House, or Timberlog Diner?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Gather ’round the tapping device everyone, it’s update time in TSTO! And there’s nothing like the holidays to bring a little crazy to our pocket-sized towns! As the latest event in TSTO hit our towns recently…this time to celebrate Christmas! (kinda…sorta. Maybe?)  Of course, a new event gives EA an excuse to stock our stores with returning premium content, just tempting us to drop those pink sprinkles!

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the returning Circus of Values, The Screens, Igloo Mansion, Boat House, or Timberlog Diner to your Springfield? (note this is 1 of 2 returning content post…the remaining items will be broken down in post #2) Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding these throwbacks to your town…

All Returning Items Leave Stores January 8th

Item: Circus of Values
Donut Cost: 45 Donuts
Previous Post: Should I Buy
What Does It Do?: Standard Building. Has a permanent 4hr task for Marge.
Opinion on it Now: Not available in the Yearbook Mystery Box, so if you want it this is your only opportunity to get it.  Opinion is unchanged from last year: I like this one.  It basically has everything we ask for when it comes to a premium building.  It’s reasonably priced, has a permanent character task and it’s animated when in use.  Plus, it’s from the very first episode! If you have the donuts and like the look pick this one up.

Item: The Screens
Donut Cost: 45 Donuts
Previous Post: Should I Buy
What Does It Do?: Standard Building. Has a permanent 8hr task for Marge.
If you have the donuts and like the look pick this one up.

Item: Igloo Mansion
Donut Cost: 30 Donuts
Previous Post: Should I Buy
What Does It Do?: Standard Building. Has a permanent 4hr task for Burns.
Opinion on it Now: Not available in the Yearbook Mystery Box, so if you want it this is your only opportunity to get it.  Opinion, shockingly, is unchanged from last year: I like this one.  It basically has everything we ask for when it comes to a premium building.  It’s cheap (in donut perspective), has a permanent character task and it’s animated when in use.   If you have the donuts and like the look pick this one up.

Item: Boat House
Donut Cost: 50 Donuts
Previous Post: Should I Buy
What Does It Do?: Does not go in the water.  Land only.  Has a permanent 8hr task for Sea Captain.
Opinion on it Now: Not available in the Yearbook Mystery Box, so if you want it this is your only opportunity to get it.  Opinion, shockingly, is unchanged from last year: basically everything we ask for in a premium building and the some.  The animated task for the Sea Captain is the icing on the cake for this one.  If you have the donuts and like the look pick this one up.

Item: Timberlog Diner
Donut Cost: 60 Donuts
Previous Post: Should I Buy
What Does It Do?: Standard building.  Has a permanent 4hr task for Homer.
Opinion on it Now: Not available in the Yearbook Mystery Box, so if you want it this is your only opportunity to get it.  Opinion, shockingly, is unchanged from last year: Yes, it has a permanent task and earns event currency but I’m really on the fence with this one.  I feel like the cons far outweigh the pros for this one.  If you really like it grab it, but otherwise I’d pass.

  1. How does the Boat House earn currency for Act 2?

  2. Boat House – ♥️ it, and a favourite, because Sea Captain has a great 8 Hour Task there.

The rest have their Pros and Cons .

The Screens and Igloo Mansion don’t get much action from me (as there are better 4 Hour Tasks elsewhere for Marge and Mr. Burns). I may have to Store them for obvious reasons.

Timberlog Diner I picked up (it’s the only Building I didn’t have – ♥️ it’s rustic look, goes swell in the woods or the cowboy zone, Homer doesn’t go here often though, but I enjoy it).

Circus of Values (lol – I’ve lost count how many different Shops we have) is fine if you don’t have many Shops, but Marge has plenty of 4 Hour Tasks elsewhere (I have no idea why these Buildings are not in the Mystery Box).

The Completist with plenty of sprinkles will ♥️ these. The Noob wanting more Buildings will, too. The Tappers running out of space (or low on 🍩’s) can wait for what else is coming in Week 3.

It’s nice that we have options still. 😊
