Should I Spend Donuts the Hall of Vice Presidents and Aaron Burr?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Gather ’round the tapping device everyone, It’s Christmas in Springfield!  And there’s nothing like the holidays and a little snow to bring crazy to our pocket-sized towns!  What’s in store for us this time?  Well, we’re tasked with seeing if Grampa can bore Death…well to death!  Of course, an all-new event means all-new premium content in our stores, just tempting us to drop those pink sprinkles!

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add the Hall of Vice Presidents and Aaron Burr to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Vice Presidential Combo to your town…

Building/Decoration: Hall of Vice Presidents
Character: Aaron Burr
Donut Cost: 150 Donuts
Size:
6×9
Earns:
$300, 30xp/12hrs

Now I know some are you are saying…”what does Aaron Burr have to do with Christmas?!”  Well, he’s from a Christmas episode, and in that episode, animatronic Aaron Burr is located in the Kissimmee St. Nick Theme Park.  Which is basically a cheaper, on a Simpson’s budget, version of Disney World.  Homer and the kids surprise Marge with a trip there, after it appears she’s losing her mind a bit over Christmas.

So, while not a Christmas item…it is from a Christmas episode.

Leaves stores January 8th, 2019

Pros
-Helps with the event, earns a special premium rate
-Comes with a questline
-Has tasks at the Hall of Vice Presidents

Cons
-Not Voiced
-A Vice President, best known for shooting Hamilton.
-Not really Christmassy, but what from this event is?

Final Thought
Not a bad pickup.  We haven’t gotten a new president in a while, so VP Burr isn’t terrible.  He’ll help with the event, as a fun questline, and some silly tasks.  I consider this one a tossup.  It’s the end of the event, so if you’re looking to snag a character Aaron Burr may be your guy…

Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and I picked him up.  I passed on Krusty, so grabbed Burr.  But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Here’s a look at the tasks…

Aaron Burr’s Permanent Tasks:

Task Length Earns Location
Talk Less Do The Robot More 1hr $105, 26xp Hall of Vice Presidents

Win a Duel 12hrs $600, 150xp Outside/Visual

  1. Was Hamilton offered earlier in this game?
I don’t remember the TV episode, so I don’t know id he was even mentioned or portrayed in the show.

  2. I had to have him mainly bc he’s such a big part of “hamilton”

I like KEM gardening, but between 78 KEMs in my garden and inexplicable frugality, I am awash in donuts also. Not quite as awash as you, though. Maybe almost half as awash.

Maybe we need a way to help Patches and Poor Violet for donuts. Get them a nice house, hire some nice foster parents or pay the adoption fees for permanent nice parents, buy them food and toys and adopt some pets for them, etc.

I worry about those kids. They are spending their childhood begging on the streets. In Springfield, of all places. I have never once seen anybody stop and actually give them money or even a kind word. Not a single task for that anywhere for anyone. Not even a random “help beggars” program.

How many other orphans are laboring behind closed doors? When was the last time Mr. Burns was raided to check for hidden sweat shops? There is much to do to help the poor and downtrodden in Springfield, and we have the donuts to do it.

  4. For me better than the Krusty deal. I got Burr but mainly because I had the donuts and like historical figures in the game. Otherwise, pass.

  5. I didnt buy ONE premium character this whole event. Why start now….with this guy? Im so over this whole event. Bring on whatever the heck is next and hey-ho lets go….

  6. Although I had no interest in this ‘he’s in a Christmas Simpsons Episode but he’s not Christmas-y’ Premium …. I hope those who got him are enjoying those Tasks (I’m also right there with you by sitting on lots of 🍩’s waiting for Premium Content). 😉

  7. another instant buy… why not? I got the donuts.. Specially with the 4hr and 12hr task being visual.. ooh goodie..

    • Just what I thought, years ago the players didn’t have the donuts to buy, played fremium, now it’s a different story, I have 3400 donuts and more if I wanted, go figure, 6 years playing EA took its toll, don’t know we’re from here. Wish it was the good old days lol
