It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

1. Yay! I just got 3 “four-peats”/”el quattros” tagging my neighbors – including one of our FBLs (Fearless Blog Leaders), whose town is SO popular I often can’t even get ONE tag in!
2. Yes, raise item limit!
3. Yes, I’m another one who can’t find any non-tagging buildings to tap in my neighbors’ towns… as many have said, let’s hope the end of this event brings the end of this bug!
It’s good to see you are still going for the “el quattro tag slam”!
I think you might have got me yesterday, but it all collected too fast and I couldn’t see all the names.
Keep at it and when they sort out the visiting problems me and Adey will repay you!
LOL… I _think_ the tagging still works fine, unlike normal tapping. The only oddity I’ve noticed is there’s no indication that a tag CAN be applied. You just have to try and see what happens. If you definitely CAN’T tag, since the place is already tagged, that shows up properly.

GooooooooooD Morning!!!!! it was a “fun” weekend… as an adult, doing nothing is fun… so I had fun… spent time with kids and fam, little one is my favorite, even though its the same love for all 3… but the little one is hilarious.. He got the funny bone. School resumed for my kids, so peace and wine during the day. — I haven’t been able to tap on any friend in TSTO, it says I don’t have any friends. 🙁 . in real life I CAN”T tap friends either, all this needing consent kind of thing and need to have real life friends too.. so in conclusion I will say: Happy Tapping, Happy grinding!! and don’t forget the wine, wine is good.
Can I ask a favour? I started a new Springfield (johnfarmergmx) and need just ONE more ‘Friend’. There is a bug in adding friends in game and now on origin.com but it IS possible if you have the Origin app installed on your desktop. If some kind person has the app and willing to add me I would be most grateful. The steps are:
1. Start the origin app on your PC or Mac and login with your normal game login details
2. Click on FRIENDS in the top bar and ADD FRIEND
3. Enter johnfarmergmx and add me.
3. When I did this from my other game I didn’t get a notification of the game request so please tell me when you have done this and from what username.
I have to search for you from this end then it will show me the request which I can accept.

I have had problems too but successfully added a couple of people in game in the last week. Just tried adding you and the request seems to have sent successfully. Have a look and see if it has arrived.

You know I visit most of you nearly every day. I still have the glitch which gives me nothing in your towns to tap on. Please know that I’m not ignoring you. As soon as EA fixes it, I’ll be back visiting you regularly.

I have exacfly yhe same problem from my most recent 3 neighbours – they were added via origin since I can’t add neighbours in-game any more. I assumed ones added this way just didn’t work. it’s been like that a while now. Do EA even know? They must do.
This happens with some of my neighbours with the ones where there is nothing to tap you can tap on the buildings that can be vandalised and get a result.
Ah, but I have pledged not to vandalize my neighbors. So…
Fair enough, though I quite like it when I get vandalised!

I know you visit a lot, and I try and visit you at least once a week. But I have the same glitch so I can tap on nothing in your town. We’ll visit later….

I have missed your visits and have the same problem as you. If you want to vandalise my town I have no problem even if you have promised not to!
I would just be pleased to see you around again in whatever way you can.
I’m on the same boat. No way to tag or tap in neighbor’s towns. Miss tagging!

I hate the inventory… E.A please oh please make your new year resolution to fix this horrible problem. 1). No limit. 2). Let us sell everything we want, or trade with our neighbors. 3). Don’t start from the beginning every time after an item has been placed. 4). Don’t switch between items during placement, I don’t know when this started but it’s freaking annoying. If I’m placing an item just continue with the same item, don’t switch to different one. 5). AND NO LIMIT!
EA we will give you Justin Bieber.

I have. It’s been at least a few weeks that i haven’t been able to tap neighbors. The general one yes, people currently playing no. I’m thinking it’s either something with this event or it’s related to the finger. Alissa anything you’ve heard?

I too can only tap in about 1/3 of my neighbours towns…it’s been that way for awhile. I use an iPad

Not there yet, however….
I think next week, ~7 to 10 days from now, I’ll hit the Cash Limit. And then I’ll resume spending $$$ to ensure I get 3 donuts when I ‘level up’ on my XP bonus.
AND, I just spent my tokens to purchase donuts.
DO IT. DO IT NOW! Don’t let your tokens expire without using them.
And for all my neighbors, I’d visit more often if I could find things to tap on. Hopefully, once the event is over, that glitch will disappear
Good morning fellow addicts! Speaking of…sept was my 5 year sober mark and I though I’d get a jump on a New Years resolution, so the first week of December I quit smoking and switched to nicotine lozenges. Been just over a week since I stopped those, cravings are still pretty bad. Damn I forgot how hard this is! I was nicotine free before for 10 years, I just don’t remember how I managed to quit. Anyway, any others out there that are thinking of quitting or trying, be strong! Now to try to fill the void since I’m thinking of it! Enjoy your Sunday 😊

Congratulations and best of luck on the smoking. I have been smoke free for 14 years as of the end of Dec 2019 after 40 years of smoking. A few things that help.. I didn’t really tell anyone that I was stopping. This helped just in case it failed again (tried for 6 years) Don’t say I am quitting smoking.. say I don’t want to smoke anymore and convince yourself that is what you want. Remember, you are only one cigarette away from a full pack every day.

Hi everyone. Hit the item limit today and feeling absolutely gutted. Designing is my favourite part of the game and I don’t want to lose any of my town just to make new sections. Any other design lovers out there with ideas about how to keep the game alive post item limit? I’ve already removed all the items you can’t really notice, like fences behind trees and stuff like that. At this point I am thinking I may just have to stop playing for a while until I have a decent additional limit. Maybe skip a few events and come back in 6 months?

Item limits and land hasn’t been raised for a while and Springfield heights still to be opened, all that land
What I found when hitting the limit is you can still put stuff in your springfield. It just slows down your game when playing.
I have hit my limit many times. I just remove unessential items and put them into storage. What would one do with 300+ bonsai trees..not much so they stay in storage. I keep what gives me bonuses and keep my 5 star rating up to par.
I also keep areas a little tighter area wise and even with no more land to buy I have a lot of open land left to fill.

I think maybe we’re talking about different things. I’ve been through all the warnings already that talk about reaching too many items and slowing your game. I’m now at a point when you simply cannot place any more items. It won’t let you 🙁 I have removed everything superfluous but, as I said, I love designing. Nothing looks as nice when you take all the flowers, bonsais and trees away. I have plenty of land left but can’t place anything on it.
Happy tapping 2020 all, hopefully EA read Patrics Friday filler and are working on a new more exciting way to play the next event to keep up all playing tsto. 🤞
