Update time in TSTO! Time for the first official update of the New Year! As the latest mini-event in TSTO hit our towns…this time to celebrate the New Year…? I guess Santa didn’t give EA that calendar I said they needed for Christmas.
Of course, as with all events, a questline comes with it to help move us through the ins and outs of the event…and unlock all of the prizes. As was mentioned on the rundown post this mini-event is your typical standard mini-event. Follow the questline to unlock prizes and call it a day…until the next event.
So let’s take a look at the questline to see just how to unlock all-new prizes…

This event has not been a happy one for me so far. I stored the future Simpson house – only to have it vanish, it’s not in my inventory. I have raised a ticket with EA, but I’m not feeling too optimistic about them fixing this.
Just to add insult to that, storing the house did me no good anyway. I wanted to free old Marge & Homer to earn event currency, but they were forced to do long tasks. Turns out that buying them wasn’t actually going to speed the event up (at first at least).
They were not forced to do long tasks, you sent them on the tasks when you didn’t have to. I bought them as well as immediately got them doing tasks that will generate event currency.
Hmm, I have to beg to differ on that. Once I had the retired Simpsons they were required to do the 8 hour tasks early on in the questline. No matter, there’s plenty of time to finish this one.
More annoyingly, EA have not got back to me about the vanishing building.
Then you did something wrong, as they didn’t need to immediately start a 8 hr quest
Its all going so fast. No more winterish scenes. No more ‘let it snow let it snow…’
And a bit disappointed mini event. Re-designing a bit, take away a bit (that limit you know). I pushed it faaaar, around 12300 items I think and it still doesn’t crash or goes funny. Maybe it is the new phone I got for Christmas?? Huhuu… Excellent! The game works great with the latest version of Android and a whooooooole lot of internal space on this darn thing. So finally I got my towns photo (twice = winter and non-winter).
Hopefully EA has some big surprises in store for us, and I mean really good stuff (McClure stuff) fingers crossed, eyes open, and keeping your little hole stretched for the next wonderful GOOD event. lol
This whole Springfield Characters “young and old variants” could’ve been handled via the PolyVac (your Portal to the Past and Future), along with Stephen Hawkings and Professor Frink (at the controls). 🤷🏼♂️
Depending on what Task is required to obtain Event Currency (past / younger version, future / older version), Tappers could send present Springfield Characters into the PolyVac Portal and choose young or old, without the “dumb logic” of having 3 to 4 versions of the same Character in the Game App (but that would be tooooo EAsy to implement, right?) 😂
If Noobs don’t have the PolyVac, Stephen Hawkings, Professor Frink? Make them available for 🍩’s (Regular Mystery Box, or temporary Vault) – well give ’em the PolyVac for free to start. At least this idea almost eliminates the “same 4 hour Event Tasks in the same location with the same Characters”.
And yes please introduce present / new Characters from the TV Series please (Sari’s Poll proves there is a ton of Content still available) 😊
Seems half the events these days give you characters from other timelines. Hope to get some events with new characters from the present.

Welp, another hodge podge collection of prizes to be spread around.
1. The South Pole- there’s only 2 places in Springfield I have camels, little Egypt and Little Bethlehem in Praiseland. It will be easier to expand my Praiseland on the edge of town.
2. I will probably rarely use the Springfield Elementary facade but it makes me chuckle all the same. The city wanted to tear down my mom’s old, long vacant HS due to the astronomical cost to fix the foundation and the residents collectively lost their mind over it. The city reluctantly heavily subsidized a developer and they’re now trendy, expensive loft apartments. Besides, I can’t be the only one who used to fantasize in school how cool it would be to live in one of my converted classrooms.
3. This is probably the only thing that will actually fit in my futuristic section. Tappers who sped through the event- what does it do? Cool animation like the quantum tunnel? Work like the transporters?
4. Ultranet looks like it would go well with Zenith City stuff. Now that I finally acquired all the land, this will be the year I finally put together my Cypress Creek. It will be a weird blend of rustic, futuristic and rich, so Ultranet will go there or inventory probably. My only sorrow is Cypress Creek is supposed to be heavily forested and I’m already pushing item limits. *shakes fist at EA
5. Yay! The Simpson’s boys.
Premiums- while not initially enthused about aging Homer and Marge (I share Patric’s view about a bunch of the same characters running around causing cognitive dissonance) it would bother me more to have the future family incomplete. I guess it’s finally time to get my Space exploration area out of Plopville. I too never got Homer’s dream house, so probably picking that up even though not sure where to put it yet. I have everything else.
Overall, not a bad mini event. Glad to have anything really instead of guessing for another week. TSTO carries on. Happy Tapping! Sorry for the suuuper long post but it’s nice to have something to post about.
I don’t have a set area for the South Pole yet but I’ll probably find a way to make it work maybe add some western or desert decorations with it.
The lofts I might keep up as a winter façade which I can think of being as rented accommodations while the kids are out of school or a place for the homeless to stay at.
If I still had my airport out I would’ve put the teleportation departures there but like the South Pole I’ll try to make it fit in my town.
I might do the same as you with the Ultranet in zenith city but maybe try to make a futuristic design with it.
Also yay with the Simpson’s boys.
Not sure on the dream house either but it’ll probably be by the ocean.
The mars vacation might work with the mars colony if you get it.

Apparently 6 years of annual notifications, cases, & lengthy intellectual phone conversations are overlooked, forgotten, ignored, or are simply of no concern for any level of respectable logic for the fact that ❄️WINTER DOES NOT END UNTIL MARCH❄️, LET ALONE INSTANTLY W/OUT ANY TRANSITION!!! 🔚

at one time Origin/EA did follow the seasonal transitions between seasons.. but this time.. I guess they thought it was enough snow for many and green grass was more comforting. They must live in a tropical zone that never gets any snow.
It would be nice to have it last until groundhog day and then have a random groundhog determine if winter ends early or not.

Thanks. 14 days to finish, no need to use donuts to speed through. Seems like last time available characters just leave you short of finishing a task. I have decided to send Lisa to get mini-nukes and just do an extra round. Plus I doing the Premium tasks first, instead of using them to collect items first. I was able to finish every task last time without using donuts and only visiting twice a day or so.
Anyone else find they have to exit (i.e. visit friends screen) and return to get game to work correctly? About half the time it doesn’t work.
The last event the prize track was 50, 100, 100, 100, 100..etc
This event.. it’s 50, 100, 200, 250, 400.
4 hour and 8 hour tasks. So ya.. one could finish this on a regular play. but you might have to go in a little more often then twice a day.

I have not had to visit Neighboreenos and return Home in order to correct a glitch, but if the glitch you describe continues? I’d bring it up with @EAHelp on Twitter (the only way EA is going to know if there is a glitch i if Tappers let them know).
Either then that, you’ve made some great suggestions for TSTO strategy during this Mini Event. 👍🏻
