Update time in TSTO! Time for the first official update of the New Year! As the latest mini-event in TSTO hit our towns…this time to celebrate the New Year…? I guess Santa didn’t give EA that calendar I said they needed for Christmas.
Remember, this event is designed to follow a series of tasks via the questline to unlock prizes. For each of the parts of the Holidays of Future Past questline, you’ll have to earn 
via various character tasks in order to unlock the prize for that part.
So let’s take a look at prize 5, Jiff and Skippy…
Jiff and Skippy are brand new characters for Springfield, and part of the Holidays of Future Past Character Collection:
However, they look like two characters…they’re treated as one (much like Sherri and Terri). So one set of tasks…and they do everything together…including walk.
How You Unlock it:

Jiff and Skippy: You seriously expect us to fall for the old “floor is made of lava” gag?
Retired Homer: Maybe it’ll help you pretend if I light the carpet on fire!

Anybody else got the bug right now where you can’t complete a quest? Have tried to hand a quest in over the last few days, but even though I get the xp and cash, the character is still doing the quest!
Jiff and Skippy definitely are the best prizes of the event because the dialogue between them and adult Bart is quite sweet on some parts, they use The Lofts at Springfield Elementary (Mooch Bart could’ve had a task there as well) and the Future Simpson’s House for their tasks and their visual tasks are really cool; the colour of the hoverboard reminds me of the planet express ship from Futurama and the other task is cool when they go into the little ship and fly it for a little while before they regrow again.
The only gripes I have with them is that they’re not voiced and they only earn the same rate as a freemium character e.g. $70, 17xp for a 1 hour task when they should earn twice as much at $140, 34xp for the same 1 hour task like Patches and Poor Violet did before they became premium. 🚀🤖🛹
So… No robo-homer? Bummer

Well, they complete your future doppelgangers collection (they’re not voiced, but then again none of the double characters are voiced) until EA decides that we haven’t had enough 😂
I’m ready for a new Event (no rehashing) EA
According to the TV show (and their individual WikiSimpsons pages), they are also known, respectively, as Kirk Simpson & Picard Simpson, named after “Star Trek” captains James T. Kirk & Jean-Luc Picard. I wonder why EA didn’t use those names in addition to (or instead of) the names “Jiff” & “Skippy”?
Only EA knows why EA does what it does. It is one of the great mysteries of life.
These one of the few Simpson’s Family Members in TSTO that are not voiced (I’m guessing peanut butter brand names won over Star Trek references? EA has no logic anymore) 😉
They are so cute! I am so close to getting them.
Their 1 hour and 24 task is a the Lofts at Spring field Elementary- if you do not have the building skin on, will they still do their tasks at the school or only if the Loft skin is selected?
Strange they are not voiced since I believe Nancy Cartwright voiced them both on the show.
They do both tasks at the lofts if its selected but they go to the Future Simpson House if the lofts skin isn’t on at least in my town. I guess if you don’t have the Future Simpson House then they go to the present Simpson House.
Agreed about the “why no voiced” , but EA isn’t operating on logic anymore 🤷🏼♂️
If you’re not using the facade do the tasks still use Springfield Elementary? Is the floor made of lava at the future Simpson house or current?
They don’t use Springfield Elementary unless the lofts skin is being used but they go to the Future Simpson House (FSH) instead for their 1 and 24 hour tasks. I haven’t reached that part of the quest yet but I guess the lava task goes to the FSH if you have it then it goes to the Simpson House if you don’t have or stored the FSH, I also think the same thing happens to their 1 and 24 hour tasks where if you don’t use the lofts skin and don’t have the FSH they go to the Simpson House.
400 for the final prize is NOT a challenge EA… it is a total BORE! 😬
The only thing I don’t like about Jiff and Skippy is that they don’t earn double the normal rate like Sherri & Terri and Patches & Poor Violet but they only earn the same rate as a single freemium character.
It’s boring and dumb when these 2 Characters should’ve been voiced AND obtaining them deserved to be a challenge (not a grind) 🤷🏼♂️

Probably the better Event Prizes from this Mini Event (a shame they’re not voiced), so I guess we’re done with future doppelgangers? 😂
I doubt that TSTO is done with future doppelgänger characters because, in my opinion, it would be logical to assume that until the TV show is done making future timeline themed episodes, the game will not be done with future doppelgängers, unless the game ends before the TV show ends. Of course, EA has been known to defy logic, especially the logic of TSTO players, so only God knows what EA is going to do for future TSTO game updates.
