As we sit here frakkin files, pulling pics, and typing a million words a minute to get our readers the latest updates and information…we sometimes find ourselves forgetting to stop and enjoy our own games. More so our neighboreenos. So we try to make it a point to hop in n out of the towns now and then to see what cool things YOU are up to. So we have decided we want to continue to focus more attention (as if we don’t already 😛 ) on YOU…our readers. Time to time we will be peaking into your towns, checking our Flickr, and also the posts in the comments below to see what cool ideas and designs YOU have come up with to make your towns unique and…well…YOU.
So here is YOUR chance to show off all your hard work, time, donuts & in-game cash spent. Send us your work, no matter how big or small and brag about it to the world. We want you to! Then keep your eyes posted to Addicts to see if YOU end up on our “SPRINGFIELD SHOWOFF”.
This time around I wanted to see what you’ve done with the Holidays of Future Past (and Future in general) stuff! This can be anything and everything Future items (from previous events), or items specific to this event. So prep those towns…because we want to see what you’ve done with your Springfield!
It can always be a little intimidating and frustrating trying to figure out just where to put anything in Springfield…so who better to turn to than our fellow Addicts? And as always, some of you guys came through!
The number of submissions for this showoff was low (You guys really weren’t fans of this event, were you?), but I’m super appreciative of those of you who sent in your designs!

I do appreciate the creativity from Tappers that is seen above …. I don’t think anyone is not a fan of Future Simpsons …. it’s just the prior Content (and some of the new Content) featured some Buildings that are Tall / Take up a lot of Real Estate (not easy to find vacant space for) …. there was better prior Decor (ie hologram shrubs and trees) …. Item Limits (so tired of having to Store / Sell in order to Plop) …. and now the Bart Simpson Screen of Death is back (moral is kinda low).
I feel most will be creatively encouraged again if EA would try to address some of the constructive criticism and do some things to improve game play. I am definitely encouraged by what I see above and may edit my Springfield (if EA allows it without sending me to the Bart Simpson Screen of Death).
Hey, so I know that this isn’t in relation to this post, but I sent all three hundred of my characters to do an 8-hour task for the park engineer, and now whenever I go into my game to try to click on their thumbs, my game crashes. Anybody have any thoughts as to how to proceed? The nice thing is every time I go in and out I get three Donuts LOL
Send someone else to do that task, usually clears it, if there is anyone left, a character you have stored away for example.
Otherwise store the building they are all doing the task in.
You can keep milking that glitch for as many 🍩’s as you can ….. then Store the Building everybody is Tasking at …. then put the Building back into your Springfield.
The only time I know of getting kicked out of the Game App for a minor glitch is if you are low on RAM and ROM ….. unless you’re telling us that you are getting the Bart Simpson Screen of Death (Network connection).
Guess my town snap shot came out too fuzzy when I zoomed in on this section. I’ll have to go back to stitching screen shots together for future submissions.

It seems obvious now to put the South pole decoration into the zoo.
I missed the deadline but here’s my design. I hope to expand on it in the future when I get more land.

More land? Like that’ll happen! As in when they up the item limit, or open up land north of heights.
When I said more land I meant more land tokens to buy the current set of land because I’m relying on the daily challenges to get land tokens. I still have several rows of unpurchased land left to buy. I agree with you on upping the item limit and adding more land in the Springfield Heights, we’re long overdue on both those things. 🙂
