Over the past 600+ episodes, The Simpsons has taken us on an amazing journey involving music, science, and food to name a few concepts.

And what better way to start your week, then by discussing some of these concepts Monday morning?

So let’s get started this week by recapping one of the best marching sounds from the fifth episode of The Simpsons, Bart’s sound off.

In the fifth episode of The Simpsons, Bart the General (Season 01, Episode 05), after defending Lisa from school bully Nelson Muntz, Bart becomes Nelson’s target. Having become sick of the harassment and torment, Bart, Grampa Simpson, and Herman rally the town’s children into fighting back against Nelson and his cronies. This leads to an epic training montage, a la Rocky movies caliber.

During the training, we get to hear an awesome sound off chant as the children march:

BART: I got a B in arithmetic.

CHILDREN: I got a B in arithmetic.

BART: Would’ve got an A, but I was sick.

BART: I can’t hear you!

CHILDREN: Three, four!

BART: We got a rhyming dictionary.

BART: Sound off.

BART: One more time.

CHILDREN: Three, four.

BART: Bring it on home, now…
