Black History Month Calendar and Math You Need to Get It All!

So, sometimes you really do have to remember the old saying, “Be careful what you wish for.”   Because for some time now, we have been whining about the same old 4 week events.

Well…like I said…be careful what you wish for.

The math on this one is waaaaaaay weird…and yet so much the same!

Follow along if you can.
What I posted originally was correct…mostly.

It is FOUR ACTS…but it is spread over FIVE WEEKS.  Throw in an Extra Day for Leap Year, on a month that is usually only 28 days…add on a couple more weeks, with acts starting on weekends…and well…you have a complicated math mess.

But the good news is… It should still be simple. For all of the acts, you have nine days to complete them, and one one, ten full days. So, while the numbers seem daunting, they are pretty much on track with other events in regards to what you have to hit daily to stay on track.

Here ya go… have fun!

And for the Non-Gregorian types…JUST THE NUMBERS

There ya go. EAsy…right?

  1. I am stuck on Feel the Powah part 1 after getting Brother Faith. I have completed all the tasks for the job but the game won’t actually accept that the ‘Make Springfielders Reject Gil’s Special Offers’ task is complete. I’ve tried relaunching the game and on different devices but it’s stuck at assuming I still need to complete this task. All my characters are holed up in the church – I can’t even make them do it again. Anyone have this problem before? How can I unstick this task and all my dudes!

  2. Patric, where is Marge with the shotgun in the calendar? When does that come available or is it available at the end of the event? It may just be a costume but I don’t see it in your calendar.

  3. Question: in previous events the last prize of the act/event could be completed after the conclusion of the event. Is there any indication if it’s the same this time? Can I save the last prize of each act to after the end of quest? Only reason I’m considering is because I seem to be behind schedule a bit despite trying. Will need to cut corners where possible. Thanks.

  4. Rip off! I still have not gotten the Africa costume for Martin. I complained twice to EA and still they have not fixed it.

  5. Haven’t done the comparison math, but this one feels more “grindy” than previous.

Still, at least I can take the ‘ol farm out of mothballs if it gets too, you know.

  6. I just got the sign for the school this morning so I’m on track with the calendar. I don’t mind the increased totals since using 50 and 100 for the prizes in every 4 part event is definitely lazy so at least there is some variation in the totals this time. You’d need to collect around 4 times a day (with or without Hibbert’s Father and spending donuts) just to stay on track so it works out as morning, lunchtime/afternoon, evening and night/before bed. I’m saving my donuts for Golden Goose Realty.

Thanks for holding the fort here Patric. I’m guessing Alissa will like the buildings and characters but wished for a different type of event format. The item limit really does need a massive increase and if there isn’t an increase by the 27th then it will have been a whole year without an increase.

  7. I’m actually just spending donuts on getting everything I’m completely done with the tedious gameplay. I’m not grinding away hours on end for average content. 400 is way too high. Yes I spent a good 700 donuts I think but it’s free and much less tedious sticking down a load of rat traps then spending hours on end doing this event. I don’t even have to go back into the game till next Wednesday. What was wrong with 200? Even 300? Why is it 400?

  8. Jay G Bundle is available for me, but I already have it. Any insight on this?

  9. I known right!!!…. 24 donuts per cycle (including grandpa) and that gives 63 event currency per cycle, which totals 6 cycles with 3 or 4 characters repeat… 152 donuts total to rush… 1 ONLY 1 prize…. sure it goes down from there. .. but still… a grind… not a fun GRIND…

    • Actually…it doesn’t go down much at all. They are all between 2,000-1925 in size. That is a TON of sprinkles!

    • MangoFusion01 (FKA NicoRox13)

Instead of speeding up the 5 stethoscope characters, why not send mr. Hibbert repeatedly. You state 24 donuts oer cycle gets you 63. That’s 12 rushes, 8 x 12 = 96, which is a bit more cost effective then speeding up the 5 unit characters.

Also, I am not speeding through now, I will do that later in the event if i have to. As an example, say after act I, I am one prize short, i can still send the premium character, since he won’t be premium in act II. I will accelerate in act IV if I need to, but not before.

  10. Holy Batman.. who can save us now?? Farmed Donuts (FD) to the rescue…. nah nah-nah nah-nah nah Farmed Donuts!!!!.
In the hardest Grinds, in the shortest times, no tasks should take my time, let EA know, beware my farmers hand, Donut rushing time!!!

    • They have had a bit of revenge…I rushed the first one…a lot of donuts…but also a lot of time.
I am not using Grandpa…so I am only getting 58 credits a cycle. That’s a lot of cycling!

EA needs to learn that making it harder, doesn’t make it more interesting.

      • Indeed! Although maybe they read some complaints on here that the game had gotten too easy with donut farming and therefore became boring? I definitely read some comments to that effect. But making it ridiculously difficult without using donuts is boring to me. Even if I can farm them. I’ll make that effort to get items I want from a box or whatnot, but very few things are worth the trouble if it becomes a general requirement of playing the game, without alternatively wasting your whole day tapping.

I’m excited about having golden goose realty laying some golden eggs though. I will finally be able be able to organize my mess of a town, it’s overdue. Wish it didn’t take 12 hours to make one land token though.

  11. 4 Acts

    9 – 10 Days per Act

Increased amount of Event Currency required to obtain Event Prizes

So, EA made some ‘minor changes’ to the Event Format, and Patric is kind enough to deliver a Calendar with the math you’ll handle (thank you, Sir).

If tapping thru this is ‘rewarding’? then you will feel that ‘sense of accomplishment’ (here’s where I worn you with my opinion – Prizes 1,2,3 are not rewarding in this 1st Act …. now try not to let that discourage you from feeling rewarded once you obtain Prizes 4 and 5!)

The dialogue is good at some points, but awkward at other times (the context of the dialogue deserves to be said by the voice actors – such as Kevin Michael Richardson,
Wren T. Brown, Michael Carrington, Anika Noni Rose – because without that? you don’t know whether to laugh, or not laugh).

As always, we can choose to play along …. we can spend sprinkles to rush thru it …. we can ignore it (at least we have choices, except whenever the Bart Simpson Screen of Death decides to appear).

  12. Will Hibert’s dad be earning throughout the whole event?

  13. I’m just excited that Golden Goose is back! I NEED those land tokens!!

  14. Looks like it’s time to power up the collider and do some RTT/bloodmobiling for all those premium bundles coming our way.
I’ve only got one item in my mystery box so guess I’ll get a little donut help there too.
Isn’t the crema robot already in the game? Is that different from the crematorium robot?
Guess I’m headed to Simpson’s wiki to find out who Clarissa, Stogie, the Bully and the Patriarch are. Too bad I don’t have Disney streaming to watch the episodes.

  15. This is the first time since I’ve been playing (which is only since Simpsons Babies) that I bought the premium character who makes currency specifically because I need that extra currency. Thanks, Hibbert’s Dad, for that extra 8 Stethoscopes every four hours!

  16. I thought it seemed like high goal numbers for prizes, glad there’s the extra week. I have all eligible characters collecting and still behind the calendar. The noobs will have to grind their asses off.😋

  17. I honestly thought EA had made a mistake 😀 Guess we’ll just have to power through it.

    • It is a very odd use of time…to say the least.

    • I’m actually just spending donuts on getting everything I’m completely done with the tedious gameplay. I’m not grinding away hours on end for average content. 400 is way too high.
