There seems to be some confusion with dates, so…
Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow morning, Friday, February 14th, Act 2 of the Black History Month Event will be starting. The official start time is 10am ET.
The Act 1 questline won’t be going anywhere, so if you haven’t finished the prizes you’ll have a chance to complete it even after Act 2 starts.
Also, here’s some inside info to help you prepare for Act 2 to start…
During Act 2 it’ll be Carl’s turn to tell his story…his tale of parental neglect! Of course, you’ll have to follow along with the dialogue to find out what happens, but the same characters used for Act 1 currency tasks should be used for the Act 2 currency tasks, with the exception of Hibbert’s Dad. Again, Hibbert’s Dad will NOT earn currency for Act 2. So we’re looking at:

Grampa
Marge
Moe
Quimby
Carl
Lou
Bernice Hibbert
Dr. Hibbert
New Premium Character for Act 2
You’ll also need Carl free for the initial questline objective…
There will also be one new premium character combo introduced during Act 2, and that character will be able to help with the currency earning for Act 2. (150 donuts will be needed if you’d like to purchase the combo)
And that’s it my friends! Be prepared for Act 2 to start up tomorrow morning!

Hibbert’s Dad can actually earn event currency (at premium rate of 8 per 4 hours) in Act 2! (At least the first prize can, as I don’t know whether he can for later prizes)
hmmm…i didn’t even notice. I just looked at the list EA sent…
But if that’s the case that WOULD explain the higher goals for Acts 2 and 3.
Just finished act 1 with Two hours to spare.
I may have spent a couple of donuts to speed up a cycle. I do have all the characters. After being able to finish events many day early I kind of appreciating the grind needed for this event. It keeps you more interested.
I think the problem is the date on the task box was wrong, it said the event (wk1) ended 12th Feb, so was causing unnecessary stress on players.
I got the last prize yesterday, would’ve been Wed but was in bed all day ill, I tap in the game 4/5 times a day, I’m a shift worker do that helps me.
I’m very confused by this, and you’re not the only one who said they saw ending Feb 12th. I haven’t seen it. I see March 12th, but not feb 12th.
At least I did finish, but it seems to me like past events there was too much time to spare and this time should have been more time to spare. Hope there is a middle that EA can do.

I haven’t even gotten the last 2 prizes. Not a fan of them increasing the number of ________ currency of there’s nothing to keep it interesting.
I have the premium character, logged in 4 times a day and just tonight finished Act 1. Seems a bit too close for comfort.
It’s working as intended…even without spending donuts. Should take the full time, there’s no finishing 4 days out with this one (unless you use donuts to speed it up)
For those behind, if you have Dr. H’s father you can still use him to finish the first round while doing the second round. I am just getting the token now. 475-53 = 422. Assuming I don’t visit again until the second round starts, 422/8 = 53 more tasks. Assuming 27 days until event ends, that is just 2 tasks per day to finish. Of course there will be times when you will not need to use all your characters for a prize. So no need to use donuts to hurry up.
Loved it because Golden Goose is back.
Nuked my town and bought all the land with donuts. I had a lot of them stockpiled. Over 8750 xp (1750 xp x 5 with the collider).

Still got 100 more stethoscopes till I get to the final prize of act 1 yet I already rushed a few earlier tasks to keep up with the calendar but then again I’ve been missing a few log in throughout the week as I’ve been getting Ill at home try to sleep off alot of migraines. Ah well looks like back to farming it will be.
Sooooo. I’ll probably get the 1st token tomorrow.

Logging on every 4 hours?
Hi Patric. I think a lot of players are having issues completing act 1. I’ve been playing religiously since the event started and I only just got the last reward from act 1. I sent all of the available characters on the assigned task 4 times a day. I have all of the possible characters, including the premium characters.
I feel sorry for the players who don’t have all of the available characters. They might not be able to complete act 1 before act 2 starts tomorrow.
It seems that EA has decided to make this event a grind.
So, playing freemium…you can earn 55 stethoscopes every 4hrs. If you log in 4 times/day (when you wake up, at lunch, when you get home, before bed) that’s 220 stethoscopes/day.
You need a total of 1,925 stethoscopes to complete act 1. Dividing 220 into 1,925…it’ll take you 8.75 days. Act 1 is 9 days.
If you take into account that for each part (5 parts) Dr. Hibbert has 1 4hr task that won’t earn stethoscopes, it averages somewhere to be 218ish/day (average) Still doable in the time alotted just logging in 4 times/day 4 times a day.
Log in 5 times a day (for argument sake, 6am, 10am, 2pm, 6pm, 10pm) and taking into account Dr. Hibbert’s 4hr non-currency earning task, that’s 270/day…and you’ll finish in 7 days.
Obviously, if you buy the premium character it’ll go a little faster.
Very doable in the alotted time. Just not doable as quickly as some players are used to. You won’t finish days in advance with this one. It’s not designed that way, unless you spend donuts.
Purchased the premium, spent a few days living a real life and not grinding, and I finished a day early.
But this event DOES require diligence.
And you WONT finish DAYS early.
I think the not finishing DAYS early was the key point from EA with this one. Harkens back to the old days of TSTO…
Please remember we are not all on US time. In the UK I’m instantly 2-3 rounds behind due to the event starting at 3pm in the afternoon… some won’t be able to start until 6pm (on returning home), making only 1 collection on the first day 😞🇬🇧
Willard : That is true, but at the other end of the act we get until 3pm to finish it.
And that’s not to mention youths playing who cant log on 4 times a day due to parental or school restrictions
That’s why you use doughnuts to compensate for your lack of time i.e. buying premium characters or speeding up tasks. They shouldn’t need to make it easy just for the minority of people somehow unable to spare a few minutes every 4ish hours.
The number of times required to clear and “difficulty” harkens back to the events of old…(2014-2017)
Yeah, I’m enjoying it so far. But I’ve been playing for long enough not to always expect it to be too easy (my first TSTO event was Clash of Clones back in 2014)
EA is still offering different ways to play ….
You can Grind every 4 Hours
You can spend 🍩’s for the Premium Character (earns extra Event Currency)
You can use 🍩’s to speed up obtaining Event Currency
You can spend real 💰 to obtain 🍩’s (if you don’t farm 🍩’s)
But this is definitely not the typical 7 Days Weekly Acts Event (you need more Event Currency to obtain Event Prizes, it will take more than 7 Days to obtain everything – which is why EA made each Act a 9 Days Event).
Is it all rewarding? that’s up for debate ….
Act 1 has been a ridiculous grind.

Act 1 seems a little more difficult than previous events. Usually I finish with a couple of days to spare but I’m going right to the wire with this one. I’m enjoying the event and look forward to what act 2 has to offer.
Same here. I plan on farming up some donuts so I can rush the tasks.
