Black History Month Act 3 Starts Tomorrow

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

There seems to be some confusion with dates, so…

Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow morning, Sunday, February 23rd, Act 3 of the Black History Month Event will be starting (NOTE the Sunday start).  The official start time is 10am ET.

The Act 2 questline (nor will the Act 1) won’t be going anywhere, so if you haven’t finished the prizes you’ll have a chance to complete it even after Act 3 starts.

Also, here’s some inside info to help you prepare for Act 3 to start…

During Act 3 it’ll be Lou’s turn to tell his story…his heroic tale!  Of course, you’ll have to follow along with the dialogue to find out what happens, but the same characters used for Act 1 and Act 2 currency tasks should be used for the Act 3 including the premium characters.  So we’re looking at:
Homer
Lisa
Bart
Grampa
Marge
Moe
Quimby
Carl
Lou
Bernice Hibbert
Dr. Hibbert
Hibbert’s Dad
Stogie
New Premium character for Act 3

You’ll also need Wiggum free for the initial questline objective…

There will also be one new premium character combo introduced during Act 3, and that character will be able to help with the currency earning for Act 3.  (150 donuts will be needed if you’d like to purchase the combo)

And that’s it my friends!  Be prepared for Act 3 to start up tomorrow morning!

Thoughts on Act 2?  Ready for Act 3?  Excited to see where the story goes?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. Maybe EA isn’t running outta juice…just running out of, well let’s face it, Simpsons is a bit surpassed. The Golden (few) Years of this game have passed, The billionaires that have funded and spended real bucks on it are…somewhere else I guess. I love this game, don’t get fooled by my oozing opinion. Just face it, we have spend years of nagging around those guys heads, who wouldn’t get tired of it. Just keep it runinng (maybe thoughts of EA Bob) and let them all enjoy what’s left and yet to come. Some people forget about “let fun be FUN”…Enough jabber by yours truly…just like EA Bob (who the h*ll am I?? right lol).
    Happy tapping, have FUN!

  2. I still have two prizes to go on Act 2, and I am irritated that EA has the exact same list of characters needed for each act, so no progressing on the new act until I’m finished with the old. I even bought the Act 2 premium character, as I was not doing well on remembering to tap every four hours. And I spent some donuts on rushing tasks to try having a fighting chance.

Come on, EA–how about structuring these events so there is a whole separate list of characters for each act. Let us multitask them!

    • You’ll feel better about Act 3 starting with Police Sargeant Lou (and the Police Station)

You’ll appreciate Act 3’s Premium Character Building Combo (it’s a Gil Deal) the best so far in this Event

You won’t be impressed with the Act 3 Prizes (eh most of this Events Prizes aren’t worth your time)

You will enjoy the new Simpsons Episode tonight!

      • If I buy the Gil Deal (150 donuts), I will have one donut left. *Does* it help with Act 3? I don’t see that described anywhere in the deal/store.

        • Yes. He does. But, that shouldn’t be the reason to buy…unless you are farming donuts. He only gives you 8 extra points per cycle. If you are spending real money on donuts…don’t bother.

          • Yeah, I don’t have the patience for donut farming. I occasionally buy and resell bloodmobiles, but I know that doesn’t cause the same yield….

        • Patric is precise (I’m a 🍩 farmer, so 150 sprinkles is no big deal).

It’s nice to have an extra Premium Character earning Event Currency, but don’t get your hopes up over the Act 3 Event Prizes (it’s More Grinding Less Rewarding)

I didn’t spend sprinkles on the Gil Deal just to earn Event Currency (I did because he’s the best Premium Character Building Combo for this Event so far – might as well get something to appreciate vs going “meh” for the whole Event)

  3. Why start on Sunday at 10:00???. Church, family Sunday dinner, and time with family and friends.

  4. Just a reminder,
Act 4 will start at ELEVEN O’CLOCK
    Bwa-ha-ha!

  5. They havnt made this an EAsy event to get completed without some serious grinding. I’m don’t even enjoy the prizes being offered, but I’m driven to compleat the quests each “week”

    • If it makes you feel better Act 3 starts with Police Sargeant Lou and the Police Station (Act 3’s Premium Character Building Combo is the best for this Event so far)

Oh yeah, you can use EVERY Premium from this Event to earn Event Currency (Act 3 is 14 Characters earning 79 Event Currency per 4 Hours)

      • Still a grind. The premium character only gives you 8 more points per cycle. Doesn’t make much difference in the end. One less cycle…maybe…per act.

        • One less cycle for me is a plus (besides, this is the best Premium Character Building Combo for this Event so far) ….

It’s still More Grinding Less Rewarding (that won’t change until EA changes the Event Format).

You can get the Gil Deal and ignore Act 3 (and you’d probably be happier)

  6. This was an easier week for me, as I snapped up both premium characters via 20 minutes of Rat Trap Truck farming. I only bought the first on the last day of week 1, as I realised I was falling behind and had to spend 20 doughnuts rushing tasks to complete on time. I finished this week with 36 hours to spare, and I’m quite lazy collecting my 4 hour tasks (sometimes 4.5 to 6 hours later) as I don’t set alarms, or use notifications. I’ll finish up all the sidequests today and be ready to roll for week 3 start tonight (US morning).

I’m really not sure what everyone is complaining about, as we’ve had much more tedious and time-consuming events in the past. This one requires only a couple of minutes to collect / restart the tasks every 4-5 hours. It might take longer if you’re still KEM farming too, but I prefer to use my 1.5 billion towards Rat Trap Trucks instead for on-demand doughnuts.

    • I think many (including me) don’t find it so long, as just boring. So rush? Yep.

    • Stale Event Format (needs to be something new)

Please obtain Act 3’s Premium Character Building Combo (it’s a Good Deal) best one for this Event so far

You get to use every new Premium Character to earn Event Currency in Act 3 (so that’s 14 Characters earning 79 Event Currency per 4 Hours)

Act 3 Event Prizes are not going to impress (but the new Premium Character Building Combo will)

  7. I can see the open thread being posted earlier or later because of the new act. I’m not a fan of it starting on a Sunday either but at least act 4 will begin on a Tuesday and the event ends on a Thursday. Lou doesn’t get used much in events so it’ll be interesting to see what his story is about.

    • I’m actually debating not posting the rundown until Monday… but I know that may not go over well lol

      • I’d just as soon tell everyone to spend the sprinkles on the new Premium Character Building Combo (Gil Deal)

Act 3 is definitely a minor change from EA (you get to use every new Premium Character to earn Event Currency)

So, 14 Characters earning 79 Event Currency per 4 Hours (that’s all anyone needs to know)

    • If you obtain Act 3’s Premium Character Building Combo you will not regret it, you get to use every new Premium Character in Act 3 (14 Characters earning 79 Event Currency per 4 Hours)

  8. Let the mediocrity commence!

  9. THIS. HAS. BEEN. TEDIOUS.

  10. Waitaminit— I’m working Fair-Wearher Father Pt. 5, and Hibbert’s Father and Stogie are showing up in my work queue twice. I’ll take the extra points if they show up.

  11. Looks good but I am still try to get the final prize if week 2 so I hope I can actually do that before week 3 starts.
