Black History Month 2020: Turbo Tappin’ Act 4, From the Mouth of Abes

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s update time in Springfield!  And after 8 years of TSTO, we’re finally tackling Black History Month!  No time like the present for EA, huh?   What’s in store for us this time?  Well, we’re tasked with finding out the history of Dr. Hibbert, Carl, Lou, and the Simpson Family!  Loads of dialogue with this one, so be sure to read along to see what happens! And of course, I’ll be posting it as each week wraps up.

Black History Month (Heroes of Springfield) follows the same event structure of the Multi-Events before it.  This event consists of 4 parts (or Acts), with each part lasting a week and taking us through a new part of the event!

For Act 4 we’re tasked with collecting Wheel Cakes, as we finally get a little Simpson Family History!  Each part of the story will unlock another prize themed for the final part of the story  So let’s take a look at the details behind Act 4 and the Turbo Tappin’ Version for From the Mouth of Abes…

I am soooo behind! I am about to finish act two. I play every single day, multiple times a day, but can’t keep up. I’m glad they’re doing Black History Month and I still hope to get most of the characters.

  2. Act 4: Procedure for finishing up one questline task while beginning the next.
I am updating this procedure for Act 4, because one different building, namely Lard Lad donuts (if you have one), can be used in Act 4, along with Kwik-E-Marts (which are also used in Act 3).

    —–
Here’s how to create two separate character groups in Act 4, each of which will go to one of two different buildings, either to a Kwik-E-Mart, or to a Lard Lad donuts. That way the two groups can count towards two different questline tasks at the same time.

This process is helpful when you are currently near the end of a questline task. You can send just the minimum number of characters needed to finish a current task to the Kwik-E-Mart, and send the rest of your characters over to the Lard Lad donut shop, where they are used for the beginning of the next task.

Note that this is more complicated than before, because
    a) You may possess more than one Kwik-E-Mart, and/or Lard Lad donuts, so you might end up spreading characters out a bit, and
    b) If you are still doing Act 3 tasks a Kwik-E-Mart may also be used for that.

    Act 4 step-by-step instructions:
    1. If you have several Lard Lad donut shops, you will probably want to store all but one donut shop to consolidate your characters.
    2. If you have several Kwik-E-Marts, place one near to your Lard Lad donut store so that hopefully everyone will go to this one mart, which will make things easier.
    3. Now temporarily store your Lard Lad donut shop, thus assuring that no one will go there for the moment (but first do make sure the Lard Lad donut store is empty). Again, please make sure any Lard Lad donut shop is empty so that you won’t lose anything by storing it.
    4. Then send on a task just the number of characters you need to finish the current questline task – they will all go to their nearest Kwik-E-Mart.
    5. Now place your Lard Lad donut shop back in Springfield.
    6. Send the rest of your characters on their task. They will all go to Lard Lad donuts, not to a Kwik-E-Mart.
    7. After the four hours are up, remember to first tap on the Kwik-E-Mart (the one next to your Lard Lad) in order to finish the older questline task, and then tap on the Lard Lad donuts, which will credit the new task.

Of course, some of you may not have a Lard Lad donut shop, but that is the way that this questline seems to be set up. I could not find any other buildings that could be used in Act 4.

  3. Anyone notice this quest is still at the top of your task lists? “Make Everyone Listen to Grampa.”

You need to have at least 3 characters complete the task. If you sent just one, or if the third has not completed, then you’d have this.

If that’s not the case then you’ve got a glitch. With that goes the usual uninstall then reinstall suggestion.

      • Wrong. I have been sending 350+ characters to the Walking KEM for a very long time. 4 hours, all premium. Now everyone goes to City Hall. Regulation payout. Gramps and his storytime task is a total buzzkill. The rest of my peeps used to go to the Anvil, again, premium payout.

    • Yes, it’s like that in my game too even though the task has been completed.

    • It’s a task for part 1, you need to send 3 characters to do it, but because it is for “everyone”, it will show up for all your characters. Once you finish part 1 (including collecting the wheel cakes), it will go away.

  4. Haven’t had time finish first one..

  5. MangoFusion01

I earned prize 1 this morning.

I am volunteering at a high school robotics event this weekend, so I won’t have much time for tapping. Will likely have to accelerate some tasks. I will do that later in the event if needed.

I will get the university needs with my token – only item available for me. Which of course is better than most, who are getting a paltry 12 donuts.

The tokens have earned me; report card, Lewis Clark, sideshow raheem and soon the nerds. So this part of the event was rewarding. That helps, but the event still sucks.

I love the topic for the event, but they missed the mark with their delivery.

    • FIRST Robotics?

      • MangoFusion01

        Yes.

        • I love FIRST! I did FIRST all through Highschool, what feels like a million years ago now. So long ago our team # was 56…

Back then the National Championship was at Disney World, and every team got to go. So every year of High School we went to Disney World to compete…and well, hang out in Disney World. But our team was (and still is) pretty good. 🙂

          • Most double digit teams are good. My daughters team is in its third year. I am one of the mentors for the team. But my daughters team is not competing this weekend.

If you love it, you can always return as a mentor. It is very rewarding.

            • I did back before I was married and had kids…and this website lol

Once my kids are in school (still a LONG way to go), I’ll likely volunteer again.
