Update time in Springfield! We’re all getting antsy sitting at home, so it’s nice to have an update to focus on! And highly amusing that it’s based on wrestling, when this may be how some of us are treating our families after a few months of quarantine! 😳 Of course, an all-new event means all-new premium content in our stores, just tempting us to drop those pink sprinkles!
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Professor Werner von Brawn & University of Heidelberg to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Physical combo to your town…

Final Thought
Like most premium combos this is an ok buy. It helps it’s the only new premium content with this event, but it’s not a bad pickup in general. Nothing screaming “BUY this immediately” and nothing screaming “stay away!” Just an ok buy.
Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and I got this almost immediately. But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Had the same issue with the brown house 12-hour quest, but hey, I just kept logging on and off and enjoyed getting all that money and points, over and over, especially with the accelerator turned on. Donuts galore…and a better payout than the stupid token.
Frankly, I couldn’t care less about the character, but I love the building. I usually just buy the buildings I think are gorgeous. Knowing a little about what the real Wernher von Braun is responsible for, I think the character is a bit in poor taste, but that’s all a matter of personal opinion anyways. Still bought it, so. I like that it’s a European university building (since I am European and the rare European buildings in the game are more familiar to me, architecture wise.)

150 donuts for SSDD. Only the character earns event currency, not the building. Feels like false advertising. Basically just another cheap gimmick to get you to spend donuts to (try to) complete yet another boring grinding event. One in a very long series of events consisting solely of pure agony-inducing grinding using the same old set of characters. You’d hope by now they’d come up with one event like the old events with mini-games or collecting items that spawn. Maybe they could use some of the other premium or event characters from the past to “earn” event currency? (Bumble Bee Man, anyone?) Perhaps they could merely fix the game to stop forcing you to waste event currency by allowing over-earnings to carry over (it used to in the somewhat distant past, IIRC)? How about just resolving some bugs like the constant connection issues or sound/graphics glitches? No, nothing new here. Just more of the painful, boring, unimaginative, time-wasting grinding many of us have grown to hate. Glad I don’t pay for these things…
That stoopid token didn’t turn to donuts… it’s like Cinderella didn’t turn into a princess and still had to go to the dance… its not magical…

This Token = No 12 🍩’s is going to be the No. 1 Gripe because you can’t defend crap like that (EA can easily fix this, just take that Event Prize out of an Act as soon as the Gold Wrestling Mystery Box is gone from our Game App! yes that’s 4 instead of 5 to Grind for – but that would be a blessing!)
After buying this combo I realized I have just enough room for the things in this first chapter prize track before hitting my item limit. I guess I’m actually done with this game. I’m not tearing apart any more of my beautiful Springfield to keep playing. I’m hearing EA’s message loud & clear that it doesn’t give a crappy-crap-crap about long time players. Have fun y’all.
You will be missed …. but I know your frustrations (I had to eliminate 90% of Springfield Heights just to gain some Open Land + bring Item Limits count down) and this is why EA won’t get any real 💰 from me!

Does anyone else have trouble logging in EVERY event? It updates constantly. And I have plenty of space on my phone…. it’s so frustrating. It happens every time!

Yes I spent the sprinkles (I have plenty of 🍩’s)
Yes the Character helps earn Event Currency
(and Yes his Visual Tasks are amusing)
Most of all? He compensates for the fact 1 of the Event Prizes for Act 1 is Dumb Decor (hey, the more Wrestler Characters the better – so I can get them all to ruuuuuumble! (lols!) 😂👍🏻

Anyone any idea why the tokens are not paying out 12 donuts ?
Of course if you still have items in the mystery box this won’t apply, however many have posted the same issue of no donuts.
Also feel sorry for those having problems running the game itself.

I think the Token not turning into 12 🍩’s is going to be the latest legit Gripe (and rightfully so!) Who wants to grind for an Event Prize, only to be rewarded with nothing? 🙄
That’s were I put it at, along with my “Harry Potter Wizards School” area
Was a little disappointed the color was slightly off from the other buildings.
I bought it because I started a day late & figured it’ll give a little extra cushion throughout the entire event.
I have a feeling the Premiums are going to be more rewarding if the other Acts offer up more Dumb Decor / Character- Building Skins vs the quality Buildings and Character on par with Act 1 (Good Decor = has permanent Character Task, increases Bonus % Dumb Decor = doesn’t do anything but take up space)
If you have extra Castle Walls, you can put them with this new Building and it really goes with the Wizard Academy. 😀👍🏻
Same issue here with flock to wrestlers
Got it since I’m a farmer but has anyone have a problem with sending all the characters to a mission 12 h flocking to wrestlers and when want to complete I just get the money and Xp points but I can’t access any of the characters. It keeps repeating the cycle I just get points and money but the characters don’t appear in the city
I had the same issue, I stored the building the character comes with, i.e Apu & KEM and that cleared it
I had the same issue. I stored the brown house they were in and it fixed that issue. Was able to send them on other tasks
I was fortunate that I sent ALL my Springfielders on that task. If you shut down the game and go back in, they are all at that task again. With the accelerator on it fills the XP meter 1.5 times and pays me about $1m. I have been doing it on and off for the past couple hours and added about 450 doughnuts and $80m to my bank.
Yes having same issue. Have logged out/in. Switched phone off/on but making no difference
I didn’t get s token not any donuts as I usually do. The fact that I don’t care speaks volumes. I’m just happy to have an update☺️

I do feel if Tappers who have everything in the Gold Wrestling Mystery Box but don’t get a Token to turn into 12 🍩’s …… well, that’s crap (that’s basically Grinding and getting nothing!) 🙄
I don’t know about anyone else, but I haven’t been able to login in 24 hours. I might not be as frustrated if the event hadn’t just started. I just keep getting the opening screen with the spinning donut.

I must admit even with a strong 5G Network I did get a moment where the Game App wouldn’t let me into TSTO’s Network (spinning 🍩 is no bueno!) …. you could say that this Game App’s Network has a limited capacity and EA isn’t going to increase it (but you can choose to expedite in order to get thru Act 1, then relax by not having to log in for almost a week)

Every time I try to play I have to reload the whole event and it takes many tries before I can log in.
Cons: not a doppelganger/ older / younger version of another character.
Hey, what else are you going to spend those 12 token donuts on? It’s not like you can use them to buy toilet paper! Oh wait, you could could use them to get reverend Lovejoy’s daughter who has a task of toilet papering the jebediah Springfield statue.
12 🍩’s = Turn on the Excelorator for 3 Days and farm more 🍩’s (actually? my gripe is you send Characters to earn Event Currency to obtain a Prize – but now you get nothing – that’s not cool!)
