Simpsons Wrestling Event is Nearing the End…

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Just a reminder that the Simpsons Wrestling Event Ends TOMORROW May 13th.

It’s been a long ride but it’s time for this event to be pinned.

As far as questlines go, what’s happened in the past is that the current prize you’re working on (on any questline) you were able to finish.  Once that current prize was completed then the questline disappeared.

This means that you will want to make that final push to gather up all the things you want from the Event before it goes with the Event.

As far as what is going to happen AFTER the Event… well, we can’t know… until it is over. Until then all we can do is speculate. So, patience. We all have to verify what happens after together.

Also, It’s EA so who the heck knows…

Now as far as to what is going with the Event, here is a brief rundown…

  • Questlines linked directly to the progression of the event will go. Like the Main Questline that pulled you through all 4 Acts. (unless you’ve started one, any questlines started you’ll be able to finish that part one the event ends)
  • However, the questlines linked directly to the prizes and Premium Characters you’ve won will remain. (so Iron Yuppie, Rasputin, etc.)
  • The event removal will likely require an app store update to fully remove it from your game.  So don’t panic when the timer runs down and the event isn’t out of your game (or the splash screen remains the same)…  It may require an app store update to remove everything.

I know some of you still try to push that last few minutes of the collection as far as you can. However, with the last few events, EA has really shut off the ability to play on “borrowed time”.  In other words, once the timer runs out the ability to collect prizes ends.  So don’t count on getting any extra time with this one.  Try to finish everything up before the timer runs out tomorrow morning.

So finish up those questlines, relax, and wait to see what EA has next in store for us.

Oh and a reminder…don’t forget Springfield Showoff!  Submissions for your event designs should be emailed (TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com) by tonight.  So please be sure to send them in! 🙂

Are you sad to see the event go?  Or ready for it to finally be over?  How did you do with the prizes?  Get everything you wanted?  What are you hoping to see next?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. Pros:
*Decent buildings like University of Heidelberg, Tofu Bell, St. Basil’s Cathedral, and Golden Ring Wrestling HQ.
*Characters are ok with decent visuals, indoor tasks and questlines plus 3 of them are from seasons 2 and 4.
*Decorations are ok since most of them fit in with a wrestling themed area.
*Prize totals weren’t too high or low since they were in the 100 to 250 range better than 50 and 100 & 300 and 475 so not much of a grind.
*Event tasks were not all 4 hours since some were 1,3,8 and 12 hours long plus Captain Flag, Honest Abe and Dr. Bonebreak got used for some event tasks.
    *Dialogue was great.

    Cons:
*Most characters had their visual task times for 1 and 4 hours which is the 2 shortest task lengths for characters with the standard 5 task times.
*None of the characters were voiced (except Honest Abe who’s a costume) but can’t blame EA for that since they weren’t voiced in the show and they were very minor characters.
*Event was 5 weeks long which might’ve been better if it was 4 weeks for less time between acts or maybe have something more to do.
*Backyard and Fancy Wrestling Rings don’t get used visually by any of the wrestlers which could’ve had them fighting each other or new npcs.
*More wrestlers could’ve been added like Laddie Liberty (+ Beautiful Bart), Half Mast and El Bombastico who all have been mentioned or made an appearance in the game (maybe for a sequel or mini event in the future).
*Mystery box content wasn’t great (if you’re a long time or premium players) since most of it was already in the yearbook (not bad if you still have stuff and no tokens) plus one item was a cash item.

    Possible improvements:
*Prize characters could’ve earnt currency the same rate as freemium characters (Captain Flag helping in act 2-4, Honest Abe helping in act 3&4 and Dr. Bonebreak helping in act 4) as a way to use different freemium characters instead of the same set in each event.
*The 2 wrestling rings could’ve been used visually as part of the event once unlocked.
*Friend actions could’ve been included for the event like tapping buildings, npcs, or the wrestling rings or even fight against friends’ wrestlers.
*Some cash items could’ve been added like a wrestling bell, referee and wrestler npcs for example.
*Another regular task at the Springfield Wrestling Pavilion, Tofu Bell and The Coot Society for some of the wresting characters along with the regular characters since the GRWHQ is used by everyone in the event except for Captain Flag (his 12 or 24h task could’ve been at SWP).

Overall, It wasn’t a bad event since it was better than Christmas, Halloween and Simpsons Babies (maybe on par with valentine’s and Game of Games) because it allowed me to create a wrestling themed area or 2 in my town. It could’ve been improved with things I mentioned. Still, a decent event content and dialogue wise.

    • So many great ideas that EA needs to pay attention to …. yes the Gold Wrestling Mystery Box was a ‘whatever’ for long time Tappers (unfortunately, a lot of returning content is) … I got lucky by being able to finally obtain Mexican Duffman (practically anything else – except Sportacus – was already in our Regular Mystery Box) …. the length of this Multi Act Event (I rushed it , so I could’ve easily done every Act in 2 to 3 Days – maybe there should be an option to move on to the next Act as soon as you complete an Act …. but leave at least 7 Days available per Act for those who can’t rush it and/or just need those extra Days) …. decor as Prizes (unless it has a permanent Character Task, I’m over them! they’re a waste for me! maybe if it’s decor that lets you decorate around the new Buildings so that you have a new themed area and you could buy more – this makes sense and now you would have a reason to offer more of that type of decor up for Simpsons cash!) ….. 💜 my new Buildings, although I do miss the style introduced in late 2018 and carried throughout 2019, with the ability to place a road down the centre (💜 my new Characters, just hope we get other Wrestlers over time).

I actually enjoyed this event. It reminded me of the days when WWE and WCW were at war with each other for brand supremacy (for those who follow wrestling and remember those days back in the 90s).

    • The Monday Night Wars (yes, this brought out the most gimmicks from both WCW’s NWA / WCCW stable and pre WWE’s WWF era!)👍🏻

It’s a shame this Pandemic is keeping the Independent Wrestling promotions out of action … or I’d be working at everything from Impact to Ring Of Honor.

      Stay Safe 🌞

  3. I enjoyed the event overall and they set it up nicely for a sequel in the future if they chose as a number of wrestlers were mentioned in the dialogue that we did not get with this event. While we don’t need any more wrestling rings per say, there is still a lot of content within the wrestling world we could get. However, for now, I’m excited for the next event.

  4. Think there should be an event were everyone isolates in the brown houses and no visuals, prizes would be medicine, can’t be any boring than the last event which I finished last Thursday.

  5. When I go to neighbours and back again to sync my game my currency total goes to 0??

  6. Just to clarify, is that 23.59 on 13 May in the US, which means 14 May at 14.59 in the UK?

  7. Woohoo 😁,

  8. This Multi Act Event was fun 😊👍🏻
I’ve been l-o-o-o-o-n-g done (since Friday last week). I can’t say that my Wrestler’s City will be completed, but I will work on it ’til one can notice a theme.

I know there was a Mother’s Day Event (well it sure felt like the Mom’s in Springfield got recognized) last year …. would be nice for the Springfield Dad’s to get recognized this time (Father’s Day is in June).

If not a Holiday, what else can EA use as a theme for a Mini Event ? (I said Mini Event, because they’re more rewarding and less time consuming then a Multi Act Event).

    • I’ve long hoped for a Movementarian mini event from season 9 ‘The Joy of Sect’. Building prizes could be the Welcome Center and The Forbidden Barn. Characters would be the 2 recruiters as a pair and The Leader. Decor could be the pickup with Dear Leader billboard, a lima bean patch [that you could buy more of for in game cash] and a Blisstonia satellite. Returning content would be Burns the God statue and the UFO.

  9. I liked this event better than black history really looking forward to what comes next probably one week long mini event

  10. Just out of curiosity does anyone here play TSTO on a PC of laptop and if so how do you do it, do you use bluestacks? Is it better playing on a big screen?

    • If I were actually tapping (collecting building/character income), I wouldn’t use Bluestacks. When I’m in the mood to design, I’ll do a whole town snapshot then use that as a reference and will rework my Springfield on Bluestacks. Now what’s a little fun is to chromecast/mirror my phone to my big screen tv and just browse through my town that way.

  11. I honestly thought it was due to end today ( Tuesday ) anyway I finished up everything on Friday and been doing some donut farming since, but also playing Minecraft on PC that look s amazing on a big screen! Wish I could get bluestacks to work so I could play TSTO on a big screen.

  12. Are Gorgeous Grandpa and Kung Fu Comic Book Guy available in the Yearbook?
