Well, it’s the Wednesday after a multi-event ended…so it must be mini-event update time in TSTO! Yes, an all-new mini-event has hit our games, so let’s check out what’s in store for us this time…

It’s after 11am here on the East Coast of the US, so Pride 2020 is officially live in our games! Remember to download the app store update if you haven’t already done so. You won’t see this mini-event until you’ve downloaded the update. And if you don’t see the update available try these steps: Hard close your App store, clear your cache, restart your device. When it reboots, open your app store and search Tapped Out.

Pride 2020 Mini-Event Ends June 3rd
Things kick-off for Pride with some dialogue about Alternate Springfield Pride…
KentBrockman: Kent Brockman here live from the Alternate Springfield Pride where Mayor Quimby will kick off a first-of-its-kind pride parade, that’s not a parade at all. It’s a race! Think track and field but with a very big twist, which is that all the contestants must be in drag. A drag race, so to speak. Where they came up with that we’ll never know!
Quimby: What a great turn out. I never knew there were so many of you proud people. Thank you again for being here, and I look forward to leaving.
Lisa: This is truly beautiful. The gentle simplicity of people loving who they want to love.
Homer: Aww honey, that’s too bad.
Lisa: Dad, you’re not even listening to me!

Your tappin’ champ with the trophy to prove it here! Been a while since I posted. I am down to the end (haven’t gotten Pride Homer yet) and it set “set complete” when I got Marge’s costume. What set is Pride Homer in?
Since starting this event, Smithers will not be sent to a job unless manually sent. He doesn’t have any active jobs that need to done so I’m not sure what I’m missing unless it’s a glitch. Anyone?
It’s likely because his new costume is used and it’s probably keeping him (even if you don’t have the costume) from being auto sent by Unemployment.
It’ll probably correct itself when you finish the prize track or the event is over

Just wondering if anyone knows if with this event and the one night stand building (I know you can make crosswalks) but wondering if during this event you can make them rainbow coloured for pride? Or not?
I am super excited about this event! Very interested in getting Mo’s. As a huge simpsons buff outside the game there are so many great characters available right now. I really appreciate your prologue here, peace love and pride ya’ll; if you got love in your heart let it out! I want that two-nicorn. bad. i took 5 years off from the game so this is my chance to get it… but 9% chance at 60donuts makes it tough. I am farming KEMS so maybe I will just gamble for one or two attempts.

Had Homer and Lisa free, deleted and reinstalled it twice, cleared my cache between deleting and reinstalling and still no joy…

Somehow I got lucky and it just started!
I’d given up trying to delete and reinstall etc. and had tried to report my issue to EA (a very frustrating 90 minutes getting nowhere) and then when I kept logging in to try and find my Mayhem ID the event suddenly just started…
Apart from trying to report my issue to EA (with no success) I didn’t do anything so I can’t give you any special advice but I hope your event starts working too!

Is it possible to avoid starting this event? I’d rather finish up some quests and earn bonuts as I am not really interested in this one.
I suppose that I can avoid it if I don’t send Homer and Lisa out on the event’s initial 6-second tasks?
You can’t really avoid starting it unfortunately. (although someone mentioned if Marge was stored it won’t trigger, but i’m not sure)
If you avoid those it’ll delay it, but they’ll stay on your task list. And even if you do them when this event ends, the event will still trigger for you. And you’ll have to earn at least the first prize in order to clear it from your task book.
Thank you for this information. I’m pleased as always with any new content…love the hydrants…mine will be all red. Like most, I wish more land would become available. I did hit an item limit warning…not sure exactly how that works…a piece of fencing equal to a home?? Each are an item… any help with this would be nice. I know the item limit, cash limit…is there a bonus percentage limit? And what is the number of “playable”..characters?…I’m at approximately 450?…curious as to how many I’m missing. Thanks as always for the info…this is THE go to spot…and any newbies here…Friday will always provide an excellent read..cheers to Patric for that. You won’t be disappointed.

I suppose that I could just stop playing for a few weeks (and keep checking TSTOAddicts for updates). I have a stockpile of around 2000 donuts. I play during the in-between-events time just to generate tiles for my boardwalk and earn bonuts. This might be a good break anyway.

Costumes for Homer and Marge??? Wow…. it’s not like they have already a dozen costumes at least. My feelings about this event because of the prizes: Mehw
Any opinions on “should I spend donuts” on these? With Mysterious Waylon and Draggle Rock I’d buy the character but the building looks pretty meh. And for 150 I should be more interested.
Is a costume. To me costumes are not worth 150 donuts

Neither item are available in the Yearbook Box. Items marked with a * are in the yearbook mystery box. If you don’t see a * it’s not in it.

I agree the prize choices are a little lackluster, considering there are several gay characters we still don’t have in the game. But I guess they needed to fit the ‘drag’ theme.

I like the prizes but I wish there were outfits for more characters especially as they are phoning in the jokes with the theme of “drag race” as it is. IMO EA should have considered the other characters we have gone out of way to unlock, for instance lady duff and Ruth Powers; and idk if I am off base here, but princess penelope too. she reminds me of some friends I know. I feel like EA managers gets greenlit for new updates but they forget to talk with a simpson fanboy/girl when they are done creating the update. how can such a successful game suffer from so many glitches and obvious issues… and yet i tap. i tap. and i tap.
But yeah Pride 2020 through an app based game is another nice way to celebrate while stuck inside due to covid.
Will they allow us to create Pride Crosswalks this time around with One Night Stan’s?? I bought the building after it’s initial introduction and since then I have never been able to colorize them, I hope they can allow us to do so now. I have been spending 20 thousand dollars for just a white crosswalk I don’t know how many times in hopes of it allowing me to change colors ( I’ve read on here you touch it every three hours to get a different color till they all turn into a rainbow). Here’s hoping!
I don’t understand. After I place a crosswalk created at Stan’s, I tap it and a Pride Crosswalk box pops up. I can then slide the picture left/right until the full rainbow version appears. Close the box and you’re done. Hope yours works the same.

You can buy white crosswalks. To get pride crosswalks, you have to build them one at a time. Go to One Night Stan’s. Click on it and build a crosswalk. It takes 12 hours. Those you can color not these not the ones in the store.

I didn’t notice this event until I was ready to go to sleep yesterday. Fun surprise! I didn’t have a box, but I did buy all the new content. I also got some fire hydrants and more balloons. I can’t wait for that car!
On a side note, I’m playing on an iPhone 5 and have had no problems with updates. I do have one with the most amount of memory available (and I don’t have a crazy amount of apps), so I’m guessing memory may be the problem for a lot of tappers who are having problems with updates. TSTO is HUGE!
Sadly I am stuck on the loading screen with an endless spinning dohnut. I havent had login problems for a number of years. Any ideas anyone? Android S10
It’s happened to me a few times. Uninstall and reinstall then log in.
Trying clearing your cache on your device.. if you are using an iPhone.. double push on your home button and then swipe up all the apps running in the background. Not sure how to do it on an Android .. iPad should be much the same.
when you restart the game it should come up with the EA logo and then into the start up of the game.
Also.. from time to time. you may want to restart your WIFI at home as that can be part of the issue as well
I have found that removing and reinstalling the game doesn’t do much so I stopped doing that .. seems that clearing cache did more to correct and get logged on.

never have been a fan of this update. Usually offers me no decorations I can use or want to use. But finally it offered the Juvenile Courthouse!! Its on the suggested Springfield map and I didn’t have it so I get to add another building. Happy to finally get a building thats on the map. So many buildings left from that map that EA can create and offer!
