Update time in Springfield! Always nice to see new content in TSTO, at the latest mini-event has hit our games. Of course, an all-new event means all-new premium content in our stores, just tempting us to drop those pink sprinkles!
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Mysterious Waylon and Draggle Rock to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this fabulous combo to your town…

Note: I’m trying something different with SIB posts. Instead of giving Pros and Cons I’m just going to give you a rundown of the character. (basically combine both lists) Pros and Cons are subjective to whoever is making the list, this way you get the info and can form your own opinions.
Also, instead of final thoughts I’m just going to tell you what I did. In the age of donut farming it seems many of you just want the info about the character, as the value for the donuts spent doesn’t mean as much.
The Rundown:
-Just a COSTUME for Smithers, NOT a New Character
-Helps earn event currency for this event, at a premium rate
-Not voiced
-Comes with questline
-2 visual tasks that are minimal
-Draggle Rock is animated when in use
-Will use Draggle Rock for tasks
-Glamazon Marge and Pride Homer also use Draggle Rock for tasks
What Did I Do?:
Costumes, even costume combos, are never worth 150 donuts. This one is no exception. This combo is very poorly priced. That being said, I still purchased it sheerly for the fact that it helps with this event. My tapping time has been limited these days, and I appreciate the extra little boost to my counts. BUT if I had to do it again, and had more tapping time, I’d probably pass.

I carelessly purchased Mysterious Waylon without realizing I was purchasing a costume/skin instead a stand-alone character. Lately, I have been donut farming by charging up the XP accelerator and buying/selling bloodmobiles. In the most recent events, I got into the habit of buying the premium characters offered for each act, to help me speed through.
I was a bit bummed when I realized I’d bought a skin, but still I appreciated that I was able to speed through via the extra 8 wigs/cycle.
Something about MW that kind of bugs me–it’s as if the TSTO team decided that because Smithers is gay, he’s automatically into drag. And MW, to me, seems at odds with his entire personality. But that could be just me!
I love the costume, but just can’t do it. Too expensive. I don’t farm and take advantage of donut sales, and have quite a bit banked, but I’ll just hope for a future yearbook addition or mystery box. If it was a costume for a character that didn’t already have one, I would be more excited about it. I already have Roller Smithers and Stonecutters to pick from.
Am I missing something with the pride sidewalks? I’ve made 2 so far but neither have the option to make them rainbow color. I tap them nothing. Press an them and I get the option to rotate or store them, but no rainbow skin.
I gave into it. Just liked the idea of a Drag Club in my Springfield.
But now I get the “Fraggle Rock” theme song stuck in my head (not a great thing, yet it brings back childhood memories of watching the series).
On a side note (and you can edit this out if you want) I’m not a fan of Smithers specifically being a drag queen… I have no problem with drag queens but I overthink that it’s suggesting a falsehood of an average homosexual male.
But if he wants to do it, go for it but it’s a side of his personality and character that I didn’t see coming and in a strange way rather he remained as reserved has he has been.
And since it was only implied that he was in fact Mysterious Waylon, I was hoping I would be a coincidental new character like Comic-Book GAY was a coincidental new character. (But being a Skin.. it’s kinda confirmed that is not the case 🤷♀️) , now the question is: why doesn’t he wear contacts off the stage? 🤓 :p

Yeah I messed up and bought it thinking it was a full character. I should have paid more attention and/or waited for the reliable TSTO Addicts post.
Was waiting for the SIB to see if there was some can’t miss funny visual tasks, doesn’t sound like it. The building is underwhelming. The only reason I was considering it was because Cabaret was one of my mother’s favorite movies. I don’t use skins very often and I already have Smithers on rollerskates as my favorite for him. I think it’s a pass for me- although you never know, might get it last minute. Building looks like it would go well with the wrestler’s dressing room we got in the last update.
Note to oneself “Read the small print” can’t believe I spent 150donuts on a costume for smithers, didn’t even know ☹️, ok moving on plenty resources to collect more, now log on so I can play 😂

I’m not sure what sweats and a faded work shirt are, era-wise…but whatever it is, I’m nailing it!
Call it the casual look, workes in any era, especially denim, time machine and a pair of jeans, denim works lol and a T shirt, any colour
Is it me or is there no character collection for the mini event? To complete a collection is the only reason why I’d buy the set.
I know that the Marge skin is in the Springfield Pride character collection but the skins for Homer and Smithers don’t appear in any character collections. They might get added in a later update to the Springfield Pride collection since every character and nearly every costume appears in a character collection (except for some if the oldest costumes in the game like Mayan Homer and Marge and Cool Homer).
Mysterious Waylon – the only negative for this Mr. Smithers Character Skin is “not voiced” (I get it, EA Bob / Babs is a tad overwhelmed maintaining that TSTO Game App Network – but this is pure L-EA-Z-Y!) you will appreciate the extra help obtaining Event Currency if you’re pressed for time.
Draggle Rock – great Pride Building (the Character Tasks here are good!), I’d rather have another Building vs Dumb Decor (and this Building doesn’t take up a lot of real estate).
Tired of Character Skins Combo? Eh, it’s probably should’ve been a 80 🍩’s price tag (vs 150), but if you farm 🍩’s? this is easy to obtain and easy to earn back (vs. 300 sprinkles).

I picked it up but I must admit I’m disappointed she’s not a full character! Especially at the 150 donut price to me that’s a full character and building. The building is on the smaller side so it fits in easily. I am super happy about the rainbow 🌈 trees!! I have been envious of my neighbours that have then for sometime now!!
