Well my friends, we’ve reached the end of the Game of Games prize posts. These last 4 prizes are all we have left to cover and we can finally put GOG2 to bed! Woohoo!
I know prize posts aren’t the most exciting in the world, but as I always say it’s still important to break these down. Helps with various questions and, if nothing else, I can point to this post 6 months from now when they reappear in a mystery box.
Act 4 contains 2 costumes and 2 prizes (and one stinking Mystery Box Token). So for this act we’ll (well me really) be breaking down the outfits and prizes in separate posts. And this post will cover the prizes of Act 4, Crowd of Cosplayers and the Frinkiac 7…
First up, Crowd of Cosplayers…

Sorry if this was covered recently but do these recent style of events always let us finish out the current prize for each current item for each individual mission? I took a half a decade off from playing the game and i noticed the pattern of being able to unlock the items after the deadline. I just want to make sure i don’t lose (for instance) a chance at the event currency at level 3 by leaving it unfinished as i work my way through level 4.
I’m on track to miss one or two items at the pace i am playing.
I might be in the minority but I really like the crowd decorations. The Crowd of Cosplayers is nearly twice the size of most other crowds. I plan on putting at least one Crowd of Cosplayers in my E4 area and buying more of them if I want to add them with any of my designs. I like that Clobber Girl, Fall Out Boy, The Collector, Pieman and Radioactive Man are the cosplayers’ costumes. Anyone notice that tapping this crowd it sounds like cheering from the regular characters like Wiggum, Lenny, Carl and Moe? 🦸♂️🥧🦸♀️
I put the Frinkiac 7 with the Institute of Technology since I remember it appearing with the building in the “Much Apu About Nothing” episode but it could also work in a science, Sci-Fi or with Frink’s stuff. I like the animation at the Frinkiac 7 but I wish it was a toggle animation with this (and some of the other event prizes) or Professor Frink had a permanent task there to keep the animation going. 🖥️👨💻📡
If the Frinkiac 7 was the 1st to 3rd prize then it would be an ok decoration but as the very final prize in a 5 week event it is pretty disappointing. To improve the Frinkiac 7 as the final prize, I think EA could either: (a). Give it a bonus of 2.5 to 3%. (b). Give Professor Frink a permanent visual/non-visual task or have a short bit of dialogue or questline for him here. (c). Have a minigame similar to the dig sites and the Claw Machine at the Frinkiac 7 that rewards random (but mostly sellable) prizes like Arcade Cabinets or crowds or other arcade and game themed items. 🎰🕹️🏆
Between the Crowd of Cosplayers and the Frinkiac 7, the crowd is the better item since the Frinkiac 7 isn’t a good final event prize. I do also like that instead of vanity both these decorations improve righteousness.
Overall I give the event a B-. The part 4 prizes are D+. (Saved from an F by the 12 donuts for the Token.). The Cleric Marge routine was fun.
Yeah i didn’t care for the prizes. i did however enjoy the dialogue. Oddly enough even the Wrestling and Pride events had more to unlock that actually fit into my Springfield than any of these. Of course i hated working my way through Springfield heights so maybe i just have a boring style for my town, the open ceilings just never look right to me (ex. arcade room)
Does anyone know the maximum town size?
it’s weirding me out with the outfits not being the last prize to unlock.
The Frinkiac… is a shower?!
Crowd of Cosplayers – crap, because crowds stopped serving a purpose as decor (how many variations do Tappers need?) 10 🍩’s for more crap? (ok EA, this is all kinds of stupid! this is crap we used to craft 2 years ago!) 🙄
Frinkiac 7 – I haven’t found a 1 Hour Character Task for Bart with this crap (so we all know where it went!) 🙄
Nobody is defending crap Event Prizes from EA (and we shouldn’t), but we can lol over the fact that Character Skins were the most rewarding Event Prizes this time (remember when it was a free roaming variant of an existing Character in Springfield?) 😅
