Addicts Bracket Challenge: Most Desired Real Life Celebrity, Week 3

It was six years ago, just after the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs bracket was complete that I thought it might be cool to do a The Simpsons Tapped Out bracket. Here we are in the oddest of NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs of all times due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and it’s time for our sixth TSTO Addicts Bracket Battle!

How much longer EA can keep Tapped Out going is up for debate. But what isn’t debatable is that there have been A LOT of incredible guest stars appearing as themselves in the rich history of The Simpsons universe. A rare few of these (like Stephen Hawking and Weird Al) have made their way into our games. However, hundred are still not in our little game. There is so much in fact, that it was hard just to narrow it down to 64 entries to start with. I thought of making the Bracket Battle start with 128 entries, but we’d be battling well into fall. With that in mind, we present to you TSTO Addicts’ Most Desired Real Life Celebrity Bracket Battle.

For rules and regulations, check out the Week 1 post here.

First, for the results from last week, from over 4,800 votes cast (over 8,000 votes to date):

In the Singers (Female) category, Bette Midler (62%) defeated Linda Ronstadt (38%).

In the Actors (Female) category, Kim Basinger (64%) defeated Carmen Electra (36%).

In the Authors/Journalists category, Amy Tan (60%) upset Helen Fielding (40%).

In the Scientists/Activists/Entrepreneurs/Politicians category, Tony Blair (75%) defeated Muhammad Yunus (25%).

In the Singers (Male) category, Sting (53%) barely upset Mick Jagger (47%) by less than 50 votes.

In the Actors (Male) category, Mark Hamill (69%) upset Ron Howard (31%).

In the Athletes category, Tony Hawk (90%) decimated Chuck Liddell (10%) by over 500 votes.

In the Comedians category, Betty White (73%) upset Bob Hope (27%).

  1. Stan “the man” Lee vs Larry King. Come on it is Stan all day long! “The King” James is way better choice that someone who has not won anything. Beam me up Mr. Spock. EA need to listen to TSTO. For the simple reason you “guests character “ is way better the Von Horton.

  2. I’m definitely voting for Leonard Nimoy, plus I want him added as both himself and as his “Star Trek” character, Spock (in the form of a character skin), mainly as a tribute to both the actor and the character.

  3. I don’t know if it has been asked but Under the Comedias:
Tale of the Tape: One of the nicest comedians versus one of the cruelest comedians!

who is supposed to be the nice one?

  4. TallSpiderCandy

    Decisions, decisions 🙂

  5. • Spears
    • Kitt
    • Lee
    • Tyson
    • McCartney
    • Nimoy
    • Patrick
    • Gervais

  6. Not Helen Fielding!

  7. Stan Lee never left….

  8. Singers (F) : Both

Actors (F) : Couldn’t decide again so voted for both

Authors & Journalists (M) : Larry King ( because I love that episode where he reads the bible ( on tape ) to homer when Homer thinks he’s dying )

Scientists, etc : Buzz Aldrin because he was a spaceman, literally!

Singers (M) : Paul Anka was my first choice as I love that episode with the giant walking billboard ads! But I felt guilty for not voting for Paul as he is a national treasure to us UKians. So voted for him also.

Actors (M) : Leonard Nimoy, of course cause he’s Spock.

Athletes : Not familiar with either celebrity so picked one randomly I forget which one.

Comedians : Ricky as he is another national treasure in the UK and rightly so, he’s brilliant as a comedian but possibly even better as an actor in “After Life”

    +

  9. I voted for:

    Britany spears
    Elizabeth Taylor
    Stan Lee
    Neil deGrasse Tyson
    Paul Anka
    Leonard Nimoy
    Lebron James
    Ellen DeGeneres

    • Nice picks. Let’s see how often the majority agrees with you.

    • MangoFusion01

I went with the Canadian too.

      • Next week will be tough as its Canadian versus Canadian. The greatest Canadian hockey player (arguably greatest hockey player ever) versus the greatest Canadian wrestler (arguably greatest wrestler ever).

        • MangoFusion01

Agree to disagree. I rank Bobby Orr ahead of Gretzky on both counts. Gretzky would not have been Gretzky if Bobby Orr had not come first.

          • Many do rank Orr ahead of Gretzky, which is why I said he’s arguably better. I say Gretzky was better than Orr. You say Orr was better than Gretzky. See, you and I are arguing. I was right! LOL!

  10. Richard Hanlon
