It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Summer gamin’ had me a blast…the Summer Games mini-event is Live in Springfield! Tokyo may be off, be Springfield is still kicking! Thoughts on the mini-event? Prizes? What’s your favorite Summer Olympic event? (I’ve always been a big gymnastics fan)
How’s your Springfield design coming? What are you doing with your town? Share some photos in the comments below! (If you need a refresher on how to add photos to the comments check out this post)

I was going through my inventory and I came across the icebergs with polar bears. Don’t know if anyone remembers them. And I thought it would be lovely to add a section to me large zoo for them. Sadly they can only be placed on water.
I would love it if we could just place anything anywhere.
As the great and powerful Skyfinger it feels very limiting to have these bizarre restrictions in place.
But as with so many of these little niggles it feels like asking for change is pointless.
On a positive note I removed most of the bridge like structures that appear when road crosses water to free up some item space which has allowed me to perfect my castle and magic castle.
In lieu of an actual item increase this was a pleasant temporary fix.
Anybody else has a glitch at the krusty burger with most characters doing scrub and polish streets. Will not clear and continue.

As an update to my post in last week’s open thread after nearly a week of no improvement as I was told it would on its own by the hospital I contacted my local GP who has got me on medication which is certainly helping. Now I just seem to have a problem where I constantly seem to be lacking any energy and am constantly tired even after I’ve just woken up in the mornings.
In terms of the game though I’m actually quite enjoying this mini event as the prizes make sense and are structured around it even though one of them is another costume for homer. (how many does he have now?) and as usual the dialogue is great

I was unable to read last week’s post so I’m not for sure what you have but here are some suggestions.
* I’m not a real doctor but I play one on TV ( LOL ) .
If you have congestion in your chest try taking a couple of shots of hard liquor . Such as Crown Royal or Jack Daniels .
I would not suggest drinking orange juice or any type of citrus juice .
Drink water and Gatorade to keep you hydrated .
Take aspirin and migraine medicine for bad headaches .
Get plenty of rest and isolate yourself .

I now have only 3 stars in my righteousness category though I’ve had 5 stars for years! My total star rating lost half a star. Did anyone else’s rating go down? I’ve been very good to my Springfield! I run a nice, clean town. 🙂
I’ve been a good Tapper, so my Bonus is over 800% (due to Item Limits? you begin to choose carefully what is in your Springfield to maintain 5 Stars in every Section + increase Bonus %).
Both Safi & Patric submitted great posts regarding maintaining both (5 Stars, Bonus %).
I have over 2,023% bonus and have nothing left to get in Yearbook or mystery boxes for many months. My issue is that I should not have lost any stars in the righteousness category, but have—why? I have more than enough of everything that would get 5 stars and no graffiti. The rating simply went down for no reason and I’m thinking something is glitched.
This sounds like a glitch worth Tweeting to @EAHelp (yes I get help faster this way vs visit the EA Help website take a number and wait forever!)
You’ve reached the end, it seems, as EA doesn’t have much for Long Time Tappers to do except edit their Springfields.
Same old system of collecting and prizes, no good if there’s no room to expand, time to infiltrate the main tsto server that hold the key to unlocking Springfield hights and more land.🕵️🕵️♀️🕵️♂️
Maybe the hacks at reddit could so something productive?
Remember guys the flag bundle gives a 7.5 % bonus for 50 donuts spent.
I also think they are pretty cool.
Cool, I didn’t buy because it doesn’t say anything about % in the store. I recently started kem farming so I need all the bonus% I can get now!
200th update, and yet EA still can’t get it together and let me play the game longer than 10 minutes without getting the BART screen.

Yep, I’m getting exactly the same, can only play for a few minutes at a time before being booted out of the game.
Practice makes perfect but they are going the wrong way .
If they would give us advance notice and shut the game down for 2 weeks to fix all the bugs and the glitches I would be happy with that .
I’m not going to list everything that’s wrong because everybody else knows what’s wrong .
In my A game town I’ve maxed it out and there’s not much I can do I’ve been spending a lot of time in my B town .
If you go to a restaurant and get bad food you might go back a second time but if you received bad food again that’s it .
That’s why so many people are leaving this game and quitting .
This is still the best little game but …
( I will let you people fill in the blank ) .

The tiny town I live in up here in Northern Maine, which no one should visit, has a drive-in movie theater that is taking a hit this Summer. No new movies being made. They’re actually playing Grease this coming weekend..which I think is kinda cool…going to see Grease..the original, at an actual drive in. Got me thinking of other movies I wished they would air at our drive in….any suggestions…which films might have that extra special feeling if being seen at a drive in?

Everything is taking a hit here in Vegas except construction & manufacturing (& essential services).
At least we got 5G Networks , so there is hope (imagine using 5G speeds to digitally deliver Drive In Movies) 👍🏻

Anyone else having problems with the characters going missing? Started with Apu and now everyone who was at Krusty Burger has dissapeared. If I search for them it takes me to Krusty Burger. Very strange.
Try storing the Krusty Burger.

Me too…they are all at Moe’s and I can’t release them…at least every time I open the game, I’m getting cash and xp for tapping Moe’s
Tap to release them, the store tye building. Worked for me.

Hey Alissa and TSTOaddicts just want to thank you for the years of help and fun reads. I have decided to quit the game finally. I started playing form the beginning and for years I loved it then I basically just tolerated it and now it is just plain frustrating. The inability to get this event to load on any of my devices made me think hard about the time and mental energy I put into the game and decided it is time to pack it in.
I will probably keep reading this blog because it is funny and personally as a math nerd safi’s posts are a must read!
I really just wanted to say thanks for all the time you guys put into the site even when things got bad for the game. In the past couple years this site has been more fun than the game has. I have never been much of a poster mostly just a reader but wanted to make sure you know how much fun this site has been for me (even after that one time you chastised me for something I said lol)
I hope EA keeps the game going as many of us put so much love into our Springfields and I have to assume this is still a money maker for EA and to all the addicts best of luck.
Oh and wear a freaking mask if not for yourself for all the Montgomery Burnses out there that have almost every disease known to man. This could be the one that pushes him over the edge!
Have I only just spotted this or is it new with the latest update that at the end of the character face list in the top left is now quick taps to any available Springfield heights/railroad buildings

Here we go again with another disappointing mini event… The prizes are poor but it’s something to do.
Do you still have Content to obtain from the Mystery Box? If so, that would be the alternative vs trying to obtain a Mini Event’s Prizes (which so agree are ‘lackluster’ except for one non Premium Character).
Do you think that they will release an update related to the corona virus? Maybe something about wearing masks..
Probably not. Not unless it happens in the TV show. They may, however, have dialogue talking about the pandemic. But since The Simpsons is a parody of our world, I wouldn’t be surprise if the pandemic makes it into the show (at which point it may enter our game).
Wear a mask, please. Stop the spread. IT is not a political message.
