It’s nice to always see a little normalcy in our lives right now…even if that normalcy comes in the form of a TSTO update! An all-new mini-event has hit our games, Summer Games 2020!
Remember, this event is designed to follow a series of tasks via the questline to unlock prizes. For each of the parts of the Summer Sportin’, Had Me a Blast questline, you’ll have to earn 
via various character tasks in order to unlock the prize for that part.
Time to do a deep dive into the costume for this event…Patriotic Homer…
Patriotic Homer is a brand new COSTUME for Springfield and part of the Springfield Games Character Collection:

Marge: You’re dressed so patriotically, Homie!
Lisa: Yeah, Dad. I haven’t seen you this proud to be an American since McDonald’s made their breakfast “all-day”.
Patriotic Homer: Well, America needs its citizens to step up and participate in the Games!
Bart: So what’s that got to do with you, fatso?
Patriotic Homer: Hey! I can be athletic when I want to be.
Bart: What, when you have to chase after the ice cream truck?
Patriotic Homer: Why you little—
Bart: *choking noises* Okay, you’re athletic!

Marge: But you’ve only walked to the treadmill. Now you have to get on it.

Lisa: Have you thought about being a cheerleader?
Patriotic Homer: A cheerleader?! Like George Bush?! No thanks.
Lisa: You’d get to wave a giant American flag…
Patriotic Homer: Ooo! A giant flag! Now I can open a car dealership.

Marge: But you still made the team?
Patriotic Homer: No, Lenny got disqualified for taking steroids so I’m replacing him!
Lenny: I needed to bulk up to make the weight minimum…

*Important to note one reason this costume for Homer is great….it gives him a task at the Fireworks Factory. FINALLY someone has a task there. The Fireworks Factory has one of my favorite animations in this game…and until now no one has had a permanent task there.

This is Homer’s 22nd costume now but I don’t care that its another costume for Homer. Patriotic Homer is actually Homer’s curling outfit from the “Boy Meets Curl” episode so its a bit disappointing that none of his tasks or his questline references curling. I really like that he uses the Springfield Mall and Sprawl Mart (if I store the mall), and Fireworks Factory but I don’t have it so he goes to the Fireworks Barge instead, I wish the barge would be constantly shooting the single firework while Patriotic Homer was on the task since the barge stays the same wile PH is on the task. The task at Town Hall is also an ok task for him. His visuals are interesting since Patriotic Homer waving the flag and occasionally wearing a foam finger would’ve looked great on the Sports Winners Stand but at least he walks around doing the task instead of staying in one place. Homer lying down eating donuts is definitely something he’d do but he does have a lifetime supply of donuts so it’ll keep him happy. His questline was very amusing but a little shorter in time than other character/costume questlines plus it has 4 parts instead of 5. 🇺🇸 🍩 🎆
Yes, it’s the upteenth Character Costume for Homer Simpson (as if we don’t have enough!) ….. but this is 1 of 2 Event Prizes worthwhile (that 8 Hour Character Task “Eatting Patriotic 🍩’s” is damn funny!) 😂

when you run a website you need a lot of data. So I have several games at various levels to gather info I need for posts, as it relates directly to game play. And of course I have my main game that I play in real time

His redeeming quality, at least for me, is that he has a task at the Fireworks Factory. That’s one of my favorite animations in this game.
