Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Well guys, my brain is apparently fried. I really thought I wrote out an open thread post so didn’t even think about it this morning. Clearly I forgot all about it. So sorry this is a few hours late!
Summer Games is in it’s final days, ends Wednesday, how are you doing with the prizes? Questlines? Thoughts?
The SpaceX Crew Dragon is coming back to Earth today, expected to land in about 45 minutes. Are you watching the reentry? Did you watch the launch? We’re watching in our household, pretty fascinating stuff!

I got really lax with TSTO since the times were pretty easy on previous events. I got started late and forgot to do updates. I farmed, used donuts, and finished. Thanks for the daily postings. Otherwise, I would have missed this mini event.

I only heard on BBC news that SpaceX was the first splash down in like 45 years? I didn’t watch it and was not aware about it.
Have not incorporated the latest tall building, somekind of sports HQ into the design. It is always a headache when they gave us a tall item. Need to redo layouts so that it would not block other items.
Yup, first one since the invention of the space shuttle. Now we’re back to capsules with splashdowns!
Alissa and Sean, do either of you know why they have gone back to this method?
So i’m not an expert by any means. But what i’ve heard is that the space shuttle was great, but crazy expensive. Because the stages and fairings were not reusable. The Dragon Capsule sits on the Falcon. The Falcon is reusable. After it launches the Dragon Capsule, the Falcon comes back to earth and safely lands on a boat to be reused again.
And the shuttle was the one that landed back on basically a tarmac, like an airplane. The Capsule does not have that ability, so it lands in the water.

I watched the take off..it was more publicized, but missed the splash down. Thanks for the reminder…going to find it now.

I’d be happy if EA actually surprised Tappers with some Characters from his awesome poll (don’t forget to vote!) 👍🏻
