Update time in Springfield, and this time everything’s coming up Milhouse! That’s right, Bart’s blue-haired buddy is finally getting some attention! Loads of dialogue with this one, so be sure to read along to see what happens! And of course, I’ll be posting it as each week wraps up…
The Van Houtens Event follows the same event structure of the Multi-Events before it. This event consists of 4 parts (or Acts), with each part lasting just over a week (10 days) and taking us through a new part of the event!
For Act 1 we’re tasked with collecting Party Hats! Each part of the story will unlock another prize themed for the first part of the story. So let’s take a look at the details behind Act 1 and the Turbo Tappin’ Version for Birthday Party for One…

There’s a lot of 4 hour tasks in the act 1 questline outside of the characters earning party hats. The decorations seem okay and at least we get a character in this act. Even though I got Nikki McKenna and the Springfield Skate Park with my token, I’m glad that the mystery box token isn’t the final prize.
I have a question: Which donut-generating items are in the School Yearbook Mystery options?

I’ve updated to the latest APP but don’t yet have the Milhouse game/ quest? Anyone else having this issue?

As far as the game starting. You have the Milhouse Splash Screen? Do you have Bart and his Treehouse in your Springfield? Are you on Level 12? If the answer is yes to all of those, try uninstalling and reinstalling TSTO. If it’s no either you don’t have the current update, or you’ll need to continue playing to unlock Bart and his treehouse to start the event.

1st – thank you at Alissa for answering the inquiries regarding ‘voice talent’ (those of you who played some of EA’s older Console and PC Games featuring The Simpsons will recognize most of the dialogue in this Game App). Tress MacNeille & Pamela Hayden are two of the vocal talents (for whatever reasons) not featured in TSTO.
2nd – well I have completed Act 1, enjoyed the Character Dialogue, but like many Tappers? I continue to get the Bart Simpson Screen if I spend too much time editing my Springfield (yep it’s annoying, but that’s okay …. I’ve got over a week to farm 🍩’s and enjoy the ‘side quests’ for some of the Premium Characters I obtained).
I’m going to try and have fun, I hope everyone else does, too …. Act 1 is strong, but enough of us agree that these long Events peter out with crap Prizes by Act 3 (still, I’m looking forward to Patric’s Event Calendar). 😊👍🏻
For those who haven’t gotten to Part 2 yet, it requires Skinner with Bart’s Go-Go Ray task.
Is the only way to get muscular milhouse by paying real dollars? I have plenty of donuts. If so, man what a temptation!!!!! The OCD completionist is in a bind, guess they knew that when they did it that way. I don’t recall other than Jebediah other characters (and I may be remembering wrong) being included when making a purchase.
Yes it’s the only way to obtain that Character, unless you want to wait and see if it will show up in the Mystery Box later ….
I like being a completist, but I’m not spending real 💸 until EA fixes the Game App (I will continue to enjoy some of the new Content in this Event) 😉
Hey guys…hope you’re all doing well. You’ve prob answered this many times ago but why hasn’t Milhouse ever been voice on our game? Any chance he will be in the future? So many much more minor characters have voices &/or sound of some type but not dear Milhouse. Its as if he’s our Charlie Brown in the game.

Does anyone else play TSTO on a Kindle Fire tablet?
A couple of issues with the game;
-The last few updates haven’t been in the Amazon appstore, but have automatically installed into my tablet, albeit at least 3 hours after the event is supposed to start.
– A more pressing issue is that of the game crashing whenever I try to place a new building down.This has happened with last events prizes and when I tried to buy the premium combo today.
Has anyone else had these problems? Any ideas on how to fix them?
You may be one of the lone holdouts left that uses an Amazon Kindle …. I’d hope Patric had the time to inquire with EA Bob as to why the Amazon Kindle OS gets the least Tech Support in Game App (to be fair, even Android OS 10 on my Motorola Edge runs into a little technical – see the image I posted regarding my Login Screen – lol, its funny!)

Anyone else having trouble getting into their game? I got signed out and now every time I try to log back in it say my game didn’t save from my last device but I’m using the same one.
Has anyone else had a small update come through that seems to have removed the event. 4hrs ago I sent them off working towards the first prize and now there is no questline, no box in the top right hand corner for prizes nothing at all.
Had a 2nd small update now which fixed the first thankfully.

Go Go Ray – as long as it’s a permanent Character Task with Bart Simpson zapping Principal Skinner? I will keep this in Game App
Milhouse Balloon Archway – it’s in Game App until the Event ends (need more Land!)
Milhouse Bounce House – same thing it’s in Game App (for now!)
Mystery Box Token – well I got the only Prize available for me and it was a Character Building Combo I don’t have (he’s not in the Regular Mystery Box) Golf ‘N’ Die Retirement Village w/Principal Dondelinger
I kept getting a Bart Screen, so I gave up and will rush through on the last Prize (Annika Van Houten) later
For an event that’s all about Milhouse’s Family? They should be the ones Tasking for the Event Prizes (but we’re dealing with L-EA-Z-Y here!) 🙄
Yeah, there aren’t many of us Kindler’ s left . My preference would be for something that could run the Android OS, though I was told by someone on another forum that Kindle Fire OS is in fact a stripped down version of The Android System. A bit too stripped down IMHO!
My wife uses an even older Kindle and can’t run many of the modern games and apps. She used it primarily for reading books and checking facebook, via their website rather than with their app! Now that IS seriously old skool! But that is all part of her charm to me.
The kids though, think she’s crazy to use such an ancient device!
I would urge everyone to take a look at two affordable Tablets from Samsung
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8 (as an 8 inch screen)
Galaxy Tab A 10 (as in 10 inch screen)
Both have pre-installed Android OS 9 (codename Pie as in 🥧)
Both have an update available for Android OS 10 (Google no longer uses codenames involving snacks)
Earth will probably have an update available for Android OS 11 next year
I could probably put the blame on EA (since it’s now a small dedicated group of Techies handling the TSTO Game App), but it could easily be Amazon not communicating with EA.
I finally got the sound back with this update! Gameplay is starting to get boring. Bring back friend town visits!
