It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!

We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Got the age verification and anonymous login yesterday at work and left it alone because my password is on a document at home. Forgot about it and opened the app this morning, let me straight in without asking for a password again. Max cash and character lvl still, but all my donuts went missing (1500 or so (farmed not bought)).
Anyone else not been able to login for like 3 days? On Android (7.1.1) and I can’t get to the “Tap to login/continue” screen. Just an infinity rotating donut that mocks me…
I’ve tried restarting the app, my phone, using data, using wifi, etc and nothing has worked. Anyone else had this problem or have any suggestions?
What happened to all my “friends”? Did they remove this feature completely?

I really liked that. And the “real” map of Springfield. Although it did make me wish we could curve our rivers a bit more. And have them empty into the sea.
I noticed today that I can no longer exchange my krustyland tickets for in game cash anymore, the option has disappeared. Was it removed from the game, or are others still able to?
who knows? Features often get disappeared during Event Updates…and then come back when it goes back to “normal.” Hard to say…
Any one else stuck in the “Scrub and Polish Streets” task loop?
I’m getting fed up with constant log in problems.
The log in process is well over due an update too.
I can actually pick a new password on the EA website which the app won’t allow as it has characters which aren’t allowed.
Half an hour of my life wasted!

That’s a swell idea Mike (it would definitely make it easier to Store Buildings that have no Character Tasks, as well as figure out which Tasks to send Characters on). 😀👌🏻
Yes I like that idea I’ve thought of that before .
Something else that would be nice if you could lock a character on whatever job you want them to do .
If you like to see the visual task you’d be able to .
Or if you wanted them to go inside a building you’d be able to .
Then go to the unemployment office and hit the 4 hour but then the 8 hour or 12 hour or whatever you needed .
And then those that you weren’t worried about just put them on a 4-Hour eight hour or whatever .
It’s kind of hard to go through each one since we have so many characters now I only have a few that I keep out doing certain jobs .

Quick question. Are there any hidden gems in the yearbook?? I’ve collected all the characters, only a couple of costumes to go, but there are loads of buildings/decs left. Anything a must get?? Thanks!!
So, I hit a milestone today. I finally unlocked the last item that was in the Yearbook. It is gone from my game, and I’m left with gobs of weird, unrelated stuff filling the area next to my mountains. Soon, I’ll do a culling and figure out how I want my Springfield to look. I just need to unlock all my land first.
But. I started playing in September. Here I am at level 939 (and have been for a while). I bought all the aspirational buildings. I cleared the Yearbook. And I STILL haven’t unlocked Sideshow Bob!!! His random task has never started and I’m forced to only interact with him in Other Springfield! Drives me nuts.
I’m not for sure if this still works but if you tap on Sideshow Bob in other people’s towns three times in a row you received him in yours I don’t know if this still works you’d have to ask the ol mighty one .
It seems like Milhouse has been reading some of my blogs . Come one come all all are welcome .
Next he’ll be saying see ya bye . If that happens I’ll quit the game is too close to Halloween .

If I recall correctly I did this in the “other springfield” there was a lot less clutter there then some towns where a lot of plopping may occur.
There is an article on this somewhere on this site. Read the article carefully. I think patience is the key for this if I recall correctly.
If you play on iPhone/iPad, there is a way to trigger it. Check the EA forum. Seems to be a bug on Android where it won’t trigger. I had my sister log into my b-game with her iPhone to get it started.

Happy Sundae to ewe two! I wish they would make neighbor (neighbour, if you are Safi) interactions more meaningful.
There’s a question, what should EA do to make neighbor interactions more meaningful (of course that would mean fixing some of the BSOD issues too).
I wish we could drop gifts within the neighbor visits….like the xmas event where we dropped presents…
We could give donuts or in game cash or extra inventort stuff….
Also wish we could comment on each other’s towns….like a thumbs up or something like that…..
Hell….i wish i could VISIT my neighbors like i used to!!!!❤

Has anyone spent real cash to get the Muscular Milhouse?
I have not and will not. The goal for me is to get all characters that don’t cost real money.
Real money? Nope. Farmed donuts? Yep. If they ever increase the Item Limits, I’ll be happy to give them a few bucks.
I used to spend a few dollars a year. But since EA doesn’t seem to be trying, why should i?
Not me , and I would not be surprised if nobody spends real 💰 in this Game App again (there are too many things that EA needs to address and fix).
Even as a completist I have to walk away 😉
Finished part 1
So, on a rainy thunderstorm day in arid California,
I pulled scads of debris out of storage and sent Lisa and Homer to clean up Springfield.
Oddly, the first group they concentrated on was the green ooze. And every Two Dozen or so,, I got a donut .
By the time I finished cleaning, I had 10 or 12.
I just pulled the last of everything , save 4 of each, out of storage.
Then I’ll finish cleaning.
Look at you! And it’s not even springtime!
See that, barely any effort, but it was a fun Visual Task to see Homer and Lisa Simpson clean-out debris in your Springfield (and you earned more 🍩’s doing what you did vs grinding for a Token during each Act in an Event) 😁
Hey, what’s the point of the Googleplex? I pay like 50-100k and get a tiny amount of SH currency back in return? That seems like an utterly terrible idea!
Mygoal is to get 1000 of each type of SH currency. Is there a limit on any of them? Maybe I’ll just concentrate on the pharmaceuticalsand see if I can break the bank.
It is the only way for me to build SH resources because I have hit the roof in the other buildings. At one point long ago, we need SH resources to get the SH lands
Googolplex …. wow! that was introduced in this Game App back in 2016!? I guess at the time it gave Tappers something to do, but to try and answer your question – no it’s not worth your time IF you are leveled up to the Maximum and IF your bonus percentage is 500% or higher.

Hey. Do Mystery box tokens/coins roll over to next event? Or do they disappear when the current event does? Do really need to trade for them in for donuts. Rather hang in to them if they stick around.

I used to save one mystery box token from each event just for kicks. They just stayed on my task bar (separately) to trade in for donuts. Then, at one update, they vanished from my task bar. I thought I’d lost them (and the ability to cash them in for donuts), but when I clicked on the “get more donuts” icon, they were there as an option. I farm, so I’m kind of surprised I even found them again.
