Who’s ready for more Van Houten fun? Act 3 of the Van Houtens has arrived!
Remember, this Act will still be playable until the event ends on September 16th. However, Act 4 will start on September 8th (note the Tuesday start date).
Things kick off for Act 3 with some dialogue between the kids of Springfield Elementary and Milhouse…
Lewis Clark: Hi, Milhouse. Can I come to your birthday party this weekend?
Milhouse: Sherri and Terri got the last two spaces.
Lewis Clark: But they’re in line behind me.
Milhouse: They made their reservation using the Milhouse Birthday Attendance App.
Lewis Clark: Then why are they in line?
Sherri and Terri: Suspenders and a belt, fellah. Can’t take any chances on getting shut out.
Bart: Milhouse, didn’t you just have a birthday party? And why are you standing behind a maître d’s podium?
Milhouse: Pfft. That birthday party was pre-Annika. I’ve got so many requests to hang out now, I’ve had to schedule multiple birthday party “reenactments” through the end of the month. Lewis, would you take the late seating two weeks from Friday?
Lewis Clark: I guess I’ll have to.
This triggers the Act 3 questline, The Most Popular Girl in School, and is followed by 4hr tasks for Bart and Milhouse, as well as a task to collect Act 2 Currency (105). The Most Popular Girl In School is the questline that will take you through unlocking all of this Act’s prizes.
Let’s take a look at what else is in store during Act 3…
Here’s the Act 3 Synopsis from EA:
At this point, Milhouse has become so popular that everyone wants a piece of him, so much so that he
now has birthday parties every week because not everyone can fit into a single party. When Lisa
confides in Bart that she is having trouble with the situation, Bart gets the idea to have Milhouse ask Lisa out, in the hopes that if Milhouse is seen dating a nerd then he’ll no longer be popular. With some
persuasion from Bart (again), Milhouse agrees to ask Lisa out, who accepts. However, this backfires yet
again, and instead of Milhouse becoming uncool, Lisa dating Milhouse makes her the most popular girl in school.
As I stated above, you’ll go right into The Most Popular Girl In School questline, which is what the Act 3 story will follow. This questline is how you’ll unlock the Act 3 prizes.

Dear god EA… I know I said I hated what was done with the Family Guy game all those years ago when a freaking freemium character became locked on me due to the sheer fact that the items required to unlock them weren’t dropping to speak of, but this is a ridiculous overcompensation…
This phase of the event just started and I’m *already* done with it… There’s still a week to go before phase 4 hits! And this was done not via speeding through it, just via donut farming and nabbing the premium characters!

A common glitch.
You can either reboot your device? Or, you can uninstall TSTO, then reinstall TSTO (be sure to save your login name and password for Origin, because you will need to input that)
I find the current events are getting a tad bit boring and often super easy to finish. Most of the prizes are decorations which never are used , even in the event in any way. Often you do get a new character or skin which is ok. The tokens that events give out are ok since they give you a chance to get some of the old content you might of missed. I often find that I get most of my extra content from the yearbook and the older stuff tend tends to be a bit better they the newer stuff you can get from current events.
Act 3 (I’m starting a day late, because I take weekends off from Tapping) 🤔
1st, if EA fixed the Network? (I had no problems Tapping, 🍩 Farming, sending Characters on Tasks today), then a hearty thank you EA! ☺️
👍🏻 on the Gil Deal (Secretary Van Houten w/Marine One 🚁 ) worth the 199 sprinkles (this Character does not help earn Event Currency, but his Questline is more fun than Grinding for Crap Prizes – yep, I will spend lots of 🍩’s but not real 💸!) 😀
👍🏻 on the Premium Character Combo (Milford Van Houten w/Sarsaparilla 🌲) worth the 150 sprinkles (this Character does earn Event Currency at Premium amount), so if you hated Grinding for Crap Prizes? then you will ❤️ his Questline (that’s 2 fun filled Questlines if you picked up the Gil Deal, too☝🏻!) 😀
👎🏻 on Milhouse Chinese 🐉, Millhouse Scooter , yeah it’s funny to Tap the Milhouse Pool and Zipline …. but no Character Tasks, no increase in Bonus %, nothing Unique you can obtain more of to actually Decorate together – just nope for all 3 and into Storage they go!) 🙄
❤️ Grandma Van Houten her Questline (yep, the final Act 3 Event Prize gives you one more Questline – that’s 3 if you picked up the Gil Deal ☝🏻!), and a ‘little spoiler’ …… her Questline involves Grandpa Van Houten, but you don’t obtain Grandpa Van Houten as a Character until Act 4 (he’s a 150 sprinkles Premium Character Combo!) 😀
If you’re “meh” over Characters continuously Tasking at to the Brown House? then you’ll be glad to know Act 3 sends Premium Characters to the Make-A-Thing Workshop to Grind for Event Currency, while the rest of the Characters Grind at to the Mighty Pigs Practice Hockey Ring (provided you have both! which are available from the Mystery Box!) 😉
3 different Character Questlines in Act 3? I think that makes this the best Act in this Event (for me!) 😀👍🏻
Good news about the network as I need to go bloodmobiling before any new premiums for me.
over the weekend, there was news of certain internet service providers (such as CenturyLink) that had their Networks down for over a day … EA has been working on their Networks, but there may come a time where we no longer are using Origin Profiles to sign into their Games (this will probably be determined next year).
I managed to 🍩 Farm cautiously (earned 50 sprinkles without a problem – so far – but I only Tap for about 20 minutes)

Had several successful rounds of harvesting bloodmobiles, no shut downs. Already got the Gil deal. Absolutely love the dialogue so far. Can’t wait to join the ‘Where my Party People Party” Another round of harvest and I’ll have me a sarsparilla tree.
I’ve managed to Farm back 120 🍩’s (hey if I only Tap 3 more times before Act 4? I should have close to 400 sprinkles ready to spend!)
The dialogue for the Gil Deal & Act 3’s Premium Character Combo are hilarious (better than the dialogue used for the Event).
I appreciated the increased Bonus % (and there are nice Character Tasks at Marine One 🚁 and Sarsaparilla 🎄) 😀👍🏻

24 hours?? Really!!! Make another cash grab and let me use it every 4 hours.
Also. Why can’t it clear all the completed jobs? Come on EA. You are sitting home with nothing to do. Here are some ideas to keep you busy.
Do you mean EA should make available another Skyfinger Statue that clears Character Tasks? (I would spend sprinkles for that!)
As it is, Skyfinger Statue only collects from Buildings once every 24 Hours (I wouldn’t mind if that was changed to every 8 Hours!)

Yes, I would be fine with there being a separate decoration for clearing character tasks for people who want one [mine would probably be in storage], but not the Sky Finger Monument for both. Too many players keep certain characters in their favorite animations, and don’t want to have to chase them all down whenever they used the Sky Finger for building collections. For example, in my game, poor Weird Al must forever find inspiration lighting up my Drive-In. And that’s just one character, there are quite a few more spread throughout town.
I’m also ok with the Sky Finger only working once every 24hrs. I have too much in game cash now. If I like traveling around to collect I send my characters out through the unemployment office and use their character completed task button to motor me around. Remember how happy we all were when we got a collect all button in the first place? Let’s go back to that happy place.
At least we have one Sky Finger Monument to clear all Buildings (doing that once a Day is nice, I would be fine if it was available every 12 Hours, or every 8 Hours).
When you have over 400 Characters, you can spend a very loooong time collecting from all of them …..or – like You – choose to only send certain Characters on Visual Tasks (my current favourite is Patriotic Homer in his red Olympic suit lying on the ground eating Patriotic 🍩’s ) 😂👍🏻
If I know I’m not going to Tap for Days? I just sent everyone on a 24-Hour Task (at least EA gives us options on how to play).
I’m looking forward to unlocking these prizes since the first two I plan to add to my Milhouse birthday party area and the scooter maybe with an item in the next act. It also looks like the act 3 prize decorations should have animations with them (bonus if one of them comes with a task for a character) which would at least make them slightly better than the Gelato Stand and Sjoelbak Table in act 2 if they all have animations. I’m also looking forward to unlocking Grandma Van Houten since I also have Nana Sophie Mussolini from 2 years ago. It’s interesting that there’s 2 premium combos in this act since there’s a Gil deal and the new premium character for act 3.
I have stored the Decor (for now), as none of them have any Character Tasks involved (once I obtained them) …. but the 2 Premiums (this includes the Gil Deal) + the 1 Character as an Event Prize = 3 fun Questlines (that makes Act 3 awesome!) 😀👍🏻

Bought Milford but have no idea where Sarsaparilla tree went. Can’t find in storage and impossible to find with all the trees in my game. 😂. Any ideas ?

any idea why I cant log on the game all it does is loading. Watching a spinning donut isn’t fun. I read that many others is having the same problem.

If you still have a game glitch (you said that you spent the sprinkles for Milford Van Houten w/Sarsaparilla 🎄 – but you cannot find the 🎄 in your Storage), I hope you have contacted EA Help so that they can correct the problem.
My preference is via their Twitter Account @EAHelp , use a laptop or desktop to do this, if a tablet or smartphone isn’t something you want to communicate via Twitter on …. but you can also visit the EA website (either way, you must wait for Tech Support to help you).
Here’s hoping you correct this problem (or found your 🌲 in Game App).
I am quite pleased with 2 of the prizes of this Act – the Chinese Dragon and Grandma VH. But I am afraid she won’t be voiced, just like the rest of the Milhouses (except for Kirk). I am super salty that EA won’t voice such a central character as Milhouse and all his variations. I would spend sprinkles on the Canadian Milhoose, but what’s the point without a voice…
You have sound??? I lost all sound with one of the updates a few updates back and it has yet to return.
Jessica, sorry to hear that, what device are you using to play? I play on a 6 years old Sony phone for over 1 year, sounds make the game worthwhile for me.. As a fun EA thing, I lose the voice every time I switch accounts in the game (I have 2 small helper ones, I log off the main, log in again and no sound). Then I just exit the app completely and get back in, then all the sounds return…
Many including myself had our sound restored when this event first started.
Hopefully you will have yours back soon.
Voiced Characters (or I should say Characters who should be voiced in Game App) is a shared ‘pet peeve’ – especially Milhouse (he is a main Character!)
EA did several licensed Simpsons Games (Console and PC) where Milhouse is voiced (a lot of the dialogue in this Game App is the same as those heard in the old Console and PC Games from EA).
I’m guessing voice talent is holding out for💰 (hey I can’t blame them). I do invest in Characters (I have 🍩’s to spend), but I do agree that ‘voiced’ would be nice.
