Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Time to flash those jazz hands, as things get jazzy in TSTO! The All This Jazz mini-event has arrived in Springfield, and it has Lisa swooning.
Of course, as with all events, a questline comes with it to help move us through the ins and outs of the event…and unlock all of the prizes. As was mentioned on the rundown post this mini-event is similar to the previous mini-events, in that you’ve got to complete various tasks to unlock the prizes.
So let’s take a look at the questline to see just how to unlock all of the prizes…

Lisa: Wow, Dad. I’ve never seen you read an actual newspaper before.
Homer: Oh, this? This is just a large-print — wait, it IS a newspaper! Let’s see… *reading* “Explosion at Nuclear Plant”, “Serial Killer on the Loose”… Ooh, here’s something: “Plans Unveiled For New CostMo”!
Lisa: How many more CostMos do we need in Springfield? I can see three from our window right now.
Homer: Yeah, but to make room for this one, they get to finally tear down that dumb memorial bridge.
Lisa: No! Not the Springfield Memorial Bridge!
Homer: Oh, I’m sure they’ll build a new bridge somewhere to memorialize the old one.
Lisa: But they can’t tear it down! It was Bleeding Gums Murphy’s favorite spot to play his saxophone. It’s where we first met.
Homer: Look Lisa, nobody likes that bridge. It’s ugly and it doesn’t do that cool thing where it lifts up to let giant boats pass under it. Because of those two things, it deserves to go.
Lisa: Ugh, why am I wasting my time talking to you when I can be wasting my time talking to the mayor! *storms out*
Homer: *flips page* Man, newspapers got weird. No sports section, and twelve pages of obituaries?.

Quimby: Look, Miss Not-Old-Enough-To-Vote-Yet, CostMo is my biggest political donor.
Lisa: That’s your argument?
Quimby: Well, yeah. Plus, that bridge doesn’t do that cool thing where it lifts up—
Lisa: …to let boats pass under it. Yeah, I know…
Quimby: Well, then I’m glad we agree. The bridge is set to detonate this Sunday.
Lisa: But Springfield Memorial Bridge is a historic landmark!
Quimby: It is? Shoot! Our laws forbid historic landmarks from being destroyed.
Lisa: Oh, I just meant, you know… historic to me.
Quimby: Ok, I don’t have time for your nonsense anymore. Plus, I have a three o’clock tennis lesson with my mistress. Today we’re practicing our ground strokes.
Lisa: Wait, what if I can raise enough money to repair the bridge? Would you agree to move the CostMo somewhere else?
Quimby: Fine. If you can raise a million dollars by the end of the week, then I’ll save the bridge.
Lisa: But it only costs half of that to repair it.
Quimby: The rest is, er-uh, a campaign donation.
Lisa: Ok, whatever it takes to save the bridge. But in the future, you really should be more covert about your bribes and kickbacks.

I can’t seem to get the bridge. It just says “You’ve completed this part of the story”. Everything is yellow check-marked except the bridge. Shouldn’t it advance to the bridge? What am I missing?
The prizes look pretty great in this event since it consists of 1 character, 1 costume, 1 decoration and 2 buildings (3 including the Jazzy Goodtime’s to the people that don’t have it 🎁). Groovetone Records and The Spotted Cat are great looking buildings I plan to use in a design, Springfield Memorial Bridge is going to be an interesting item to design. 🎼🎺🎼
It’s great to get Marbles Le Marquez and Tic Tok Simpson as prizes since they are 2/3 of the Skinny Palmer Trio with Skinny Palmer being premium.
It’s also great that (if you buy him) Skinny Palmer has a task in part 2 and 3 of the main questline since he helps in the event in another way other than earning event currency.🎼 🎷🎼
I just got the Springfield Memorial Bridge, but I have no idea how to place it relative to existing roads and rivers. For now, it’s just sitting in the middle of my little jazz section, but the ends of the bridge look like they can’t connect to anything. Is there something I’m missing, or is this just another example of EA not thinking things through?
There’s a few designs I seen on the forums and reddit on the bridge but there’s also one here from geoffy2357 on the prize guide post to the bridge and 2 buildings. You could also wait until next week to see what people have done with it on the showoff post since people will likely post what they have done with it on there.
So am I correct in saying that in order to progress through the quests, the premium character has to be bought. Skinny Palmer is required for part 2.
If you bought Skinny Palmer then he is required to do the tasks for parts 2 and 3 of the main questline.
If you didn’t buy Skinny then he is not required to do the tasks for parts 2 and 3 of the main questline.
Skinny Palmer is an extra character to help in the event instead of just being another character to earn event currency since he is also required for tasks in parts 2 and 3 of the main questline if you bought him. If you didn’t buy him then it doesn’t affect you progressing through the main questline since his tasks don’t appear for you to complete because you haven’t bought him.
Started playing again last night, which was nice. I like the theme and the dialogue of this mini event, I’m not rushing through it by either logging in previously every 4Hrs or using 🍩 to speed it up, just takin’ my time and I’m not so bothered if I don’t make it to the end but I’m sure that I probably will. I will just enjoy it without getting too intense about it anymore.
I find the game feels too needy at times. A lot of…tapping. It’s good to take a break!
I agree, when the tapping becomes tedious it is time to take a breather

I got Jazzy Goodtime’s for free after placing down Groovetone Records. Sweet!

How do we level up the opera stage?
The Springfield Opera House was released as a Premium Springfield Heights Building (increasing Springfield Heights Real Estate Level), there is a brief Questline Task involving Marge and Homer Simpson.

Lisa has a 3 hour permanent task at Jazzy Goodtime’s – I think she got the task following the Music main event when many of the stages were introduced.

Ok, I should have the Springfield Memorial Bridge tonight (and then it’s Questlines for Characters!) it’s a solid Mini Event, but EA isn’t winning when the revisit a prior Event (and dump prior Event Content into the Store when there’s plenty of it in the Mystery Box). 🤔
