Update time in Springfield! Always nice to see new content in TSTO, as the latest mini-event has hit our games. Of course, an all-new event means all-new premium content in our stores, just tempting us to drop those pink sprinkles!
As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add Skinny Palmer and KJAZZ to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this jazzy duo to your town…

A great character and building combo in this event for a number of reasons:
KJAZZ: Another radio station to go with KBBL Radio; Lisa and Skinny Palmer use it in part 2 of the main questline; it gets used permanently by 2 characters Lisa and Marbles Le Marquez (which kind of makes up for Skinny Palmer not having a permanent task there); its from a classic episode; one of the few items that improves the socialism rating (which is only increased from visiting neighbours). 📻
Skinny Palmer: He’s voiced; great outdoor and indoor tasks (he can use an event prize (Spotted Cat), a rarely used building (Grocery Store) and random apartments); helps with the event in 2 ways by earning event currency and having 2 tasks in the main questline (one uses KJAZZ which is the only time he uses it); dialogue and questline are great which also involves Lunchlady Dora and Manacek; he’s 1/3 of the Skinny Palmer Trio. 🎺
There are still some improvements for these two including: Like what CJBrownLV said, KJAZZ having the ability to broadcast programs such as “KJAZZ Hits”, “Moleman in the Morning”, Lisa’s Radio Show, and BGM’s album “Sax on the Beach”; Skinny Palmer having at least 1 permanent task at KJAZZ (the one time 2 hour task he had “Improvise Scat on KJAZZ” would be great if it was permanent); Skinny Palmer having a joint visual task with Marbles Le Marquez and Tic Tock Simpson. 🎷
They are still really good items.
FYI, his questline doesn’t unlock until you get The Spotted Cat and start part 4 of the main questline.

Am i the only one who farming for donuts with bloodmobile not working?
You are not…EA has seemingly adjusted this one.
Patric, do you think they have plans to adjust the other items that can be used for donut farming?
Hard to say…the could do the same with rat trap tricks. But it would be very hard to do with KEMs, as they are interactive vital decorations. But, they could mess with values. Hard to say.
My guess is that they will leave KEMs alone…as they tend to dole out the donuts more slowly, and not in giant dollops like the RTTs and BMs.
I think this must have been a temporary bug as Im still able to farm with bloodmobiles and rat trap trucks. havent tried with K.E.M’s as that is a bit tedious
Update: seems like it was a temporary bug indeed. Reinstalled the app and i now can farm with BMs no prob.

Not working? What has been happening?
Since I have the donuts to spend I tend to by any combo whether good or bad. Even bought a ton of Jazz bands for the 4% … at 20 donuts you can’t go wrong and it really brings up ones percentage.
Hmmm. I just had a jazzy good times bldg dropped off in my game. Anyone know about this?? (But not in main acct. only in secondary one).
I also didn’t have questline start for this in main acct.
Yea it’s needed for part of the questline, so when you unlock the first building if you don’t have it I believe it’s an added bonus

You actually must buy him, in order to continue the event, as he is required for two tasks in part 2 and 3. I also has no quest with him yet – propably after event complete.
You’re not forced to buy him. If you don’t have him his tasks won’t appear for you.
I bought this combo. Really like that the character is voiced. However, no quest line started for me 🙁

Sounds like you need to uninstall, and reinstall.
Looks like I am going to have to reinstall as well. Just have the spinning donut.

Skinny Palmer – fun “voiced” Character with silly Visual Tasks (enjoy his Questline with Lunchlady Dora & Manacek at the Bachelor Arms Apartments!)
KJAZZ Building – kinda wished L-EA-Z-Y had made this like KBBL & Channel 6 (a Building with Character Tasks & different Hourly Tasks you can buy to start, but hey still a fun Building!)
He’s another Premium Character that earns Event Currency at Premium amount (by now? you either want the Premium Content ….. or you don’t waiting to see if this shows up in a Mystery Box).

After getting the vomitorium / bourbon band. You are offered additional bourbon bands at 20 donuts a pop. The bourbon band offers a 4% bonus percentage. This is a great deal for XP percentage. I have acquired several myself.

I didn’t get any questline with my purchase.
It’ll appear, may be log jammed with something else.
Same here. No questline. All characters are free. Skinny Palmer has a 60m task that’s grayed out, “Whisper sweet nothings to Eleanor” that says it requires “quest”. Doesn’t appear to be anything that can be done to get the questline started.
Keep playing through. I don’t remember specifically because I did it so quick, but it may not trigger until you’ve finished the event.
