Addicts Bracket Challenge: Most Desired Real Life Celebrity, and the winner is…

It was six years ago, just after the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs bracket was complete that I thought it might be cool to do a The Simpsons Tapped Out bracket. Here we are in the oddest of NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs of all times due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and it’s time for our sixth TSTO Addicts Bracket Battle!

How much longer EA can keep Tapped Out going is up for debate. But what isn’t debatable is that there have been A LOT of incredible guest stars appearing as themselves in the rich history of The Simpsons universe. A rare few of these (like Stephen Hawking and Weird Al) have made their way into our games. However, hundred are still not in our little game. There is so much in fact, that it was hard just to narrow it down to 64 entries to start with. I thought of making the Bracket Battle start with 128 entries, but we’d be battling well into fall. With that in mind, we present to you TSTO Addicts’ Most Desired Real Life Celebrity Bracket Battle.

For rules and regulations, check out the Week 1 post here.

Finally, here we are with the final Championship results from last week, from over 2,300 votes cast (over 30,000 votes throughout):

In the Championship final, Comedians champion Betty White (69%) beat Authors/Journalists champion Stan Lee (31%) by several hundred votes.

Here’s the final Bracket unveiled (click on image to view enlarged version):

So EA, after over 2,300 votes cast last week (over 30,000 votes throughout), we kindly request you to add 98 year old comedy legend Betty White to our little game!

What are your thoughts on the Championship winner? What did you think of the bracket? Did you vote with the majority? What topic would you like to see for the next Bracket Battle? Sound off below, you know we love hearing from you.

  1. Are the saying “boo” or “boo-urns”?

    Definitely “boo-urns”.

It would be grating having Betty White in the game, maybe they can find there way into adding several of the people who were in the bracket?

  2. Betty White! Frankly, Nothing else needs to be said. She stands alone

However I’d like to add her love of animals

  3. Either way was fine with these 2!💓

  4. Betty White it is (come on EA, pay to have Ms. White record some dialogue for TSTO and drop her into the Game for Xmas!) 😀👍🏻

  5. 😎Although I definitely find it’s a 3way tie b/w Betty, Nimoy & Stan, the hysterical PBS episode will confirm her deserved status🌠👌

  6. Haha! Voted in all weeks and completely forgot about the finals! Both excellent finalists, would have voted for Betty as she’s a classic comic.

  7. I love bracket challenges, but I’ve been so busy. I don’t think I got a chance to vote in all of them. Betty White would be a fun character. I still hope for a Mulder and Scully and Troy McClure one day 😉

  8. I’m not at all surprised! I voted Betty!

Stan Lee should have been included with one of the superhero updates Tbh, and Betty is a comedic gem!

  9. I enjoyed following that each week. Thanks Safi.

I’m shocked by the result. Perhaps that’s because I haven’t been exposed to Betty White outside of The Golden Girls as a kid in the UK.

That and I’m a huge Comic book fan. 😏

  10. One of my many, many favorite bits (PBS pledge drive):

    Betty White: “Absolutely.
If you watch even one second of PBS and don’t contribute, you’re a thief! A common thief!”
PBS Guy: “Okay, take it easy, Betty.”
Betty White: “Sorry, but these thieves make me so damn mad. You know who you are! THIEVES!”

I think it’s probably extra funny because Betty White seems so nice and it’s hilarious to see her be mad about something so random. 😂

  11. Great fun! Thanks, Safi, for doing this. I am happy with the results even though I had some favorites ousted along the way. Can’t wait for the next one! 😁

  12. So glad she won! Just think of the potential story lines or dialogue for her character! Come on EA. Respond to the will of the people!

  13. Thanks for running this, Safi – even if I’d have been happier with Stan Lee winning 🙂

It has certainly provided a distraction from all the other grief we’ve been having lately.

Have fun, but stay safe, folks!

  14. Wow. I’m surprised. At the very start of all of this, I thought it would down to Stan Lee over Leonard Nimoy. No complaints about the great Betty White, but I had just always thought that the other two could be fun characters in the game.

Thanks for running another fun bracket challenge!
