Showoff Announcement: All This Jazz

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s that time…calling all Addict Designers!  We’re getting ready to do the next Springfield Showoff, and this time around I want to see what you’ve done with the Jazz stuff! With new buildings and decorations arriving with this event, show me how you fit them into your Springfield!   So prep those towns…because we want to see what you’ve done with your Springfield!

As always please remember to limit it to 1-2 of your favorite areas/photos…we can’t show your whole town, unless you want to send in your entire town via town portrait.

So use this time to polish up your town and show us how creative you can be!  Send in your Jazzy designs (by 8pm ET Tuesday, October 6th) and we’ll be putting up the Showoff post featuring your designs on Wednesday, October 7th.

Remember, your designs can be anything and everything from the All This Jazz Mini-Event, and how you worked it into your Springfield

So grab some screenshots of your town, or finish up those designs…just make sure to send your submissions in by about 8pm ET Tuesday, October 6th, can’t wait to see what YOU have come up with.

You can send your designs in two ways…either post a link to the image in the comments on this post or you can email them to us at TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com.  We won’t be pulling images from anywhere else, so please if you want to be featured either submit in the comments below or email your images to us.

Note: PLEASE try to limit your submissions to only 1-2 of your favorite screenshots.  We like to try and let everyone showoff their town but it becomes difficult when some of you are sending in 7-10 images.  Pick your favorite areas and send them in (or if you stitch photos together, that works too).  We’ll try our best to get EVERYONE in, but please understand that sometimes we miss a photo or two.  If we miss you one week, we’ll try really hard to make sure we get you in the next week.  You’re always welcome to showoff your town, at any time, on our Flickr page.  We know a lot of you have awesome towns that you want to show off, but please try to stick with this week’s theme.  Remember, this isn’t a contest.  There’s nothing to win.  It’s just a fun way to showoff your town and get some design inspiration from your fellow Addicts.  🙂

Do you want to be featured on the next Springfield Showoff?  Post your images  in the Comments below or email us your screenshots at TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com. We can’t wait to see YOUR designs! (Need help with images, just ask.)

This “ShowOff” challenge was great, since we have a lot to work with: it’s the “only road out of town”, so it has to go on the border; it has to line up with a road, and have water, so I just established a “Jazz Town/Little New Orleans” near the international zone (Italy, UK, etc.)

  2. Hmm, something tells me my NOLA is Jazzy and the last stop before you enter my Halloween Town (NOLA has the Creature’s Swamp-y Lagoon and the resident Voodoo Queen with her Trailer in the Bayou!) 😉

I really enjoyed this Mini Event (thank you small dedicated staff of EA personnel that tend to TSTO!) 😀👍🏻

  3. Trying to figure out what that final prize, the road in the mountains with the moon that rises, fits in to?

    • Toni

Springfield Memorial Bridge may not be Jazz-y, or Nola, themed ….. but it will go swell next to any Mountain, Canyon, etc – anything desert landscape (you’ve got a Mountain with Carl’s face, a Shelbyville Mound, that Canyon Bart Simpson wanted to skateboard over but Homer does instead – if you don’t have any of those? they’re in the Mystery Box!) 😀🤘🏻

    • I found a example where a player used rock piles, trees and rock pillars to block the break between the road and the bridge. A quick and sufficient illusion to show the continuation of the roadway.

(I’d show my minimalist attempt, but I don’t know how to post a screenshot on here.)

    • If you tap on it, the moon goes away. I’ve found that it makes it look less weird without the moon when you try and incorporate it.
