All This Jazz Mini-Event is Nearing the End…

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Just a quick reminder that tomorrow (Wednesday, October 7th) marks the end of the All This Jazz mini-event!  So,  if you haven’t already, finish up that prize track, purchase your last few premium items, and be prepared to see the mini-event leave our games tomorrow morning!

Note: For those of you asking about Halloween.  Don’t expect it this week.  I would operate under the assumption EA’s running on their normal schedule, and the next update hits the week after the current one ends.  That means we’ll likely have a week of downtime before anything new starts up.

What are your overall thoughts on the mini-event?  Have you enjoyed it?  Or did you feel like it was a bit lame?  Where have you placed the prizes? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

P.S. I’m going to give one more reminder about the All This Jazz Showoff!  Please send in your submissions by 8pm ET tonight to be included with tomorrow’s Showoff Post.

  1. I enjoyed the mini event and this and the No Bucks Given events are easily the best mini events of 2020 in my opinion. The prizes were all great in their own ways, there were a few minor grumbles on some of them such as not being able to connect rivers and roads to the bridge (but I did use some inspiration from others to make it work in my town). The premiums buildings, Bourbon Street Band and Skinny Palmer were all great items and it was a bonus for KJAZZ and SP to help in the event instead of SP just earning event currency. The returning items were good since most of the decorations were from crafting in the Homerpalooza event and I didn’t have many of the craftable decorations back then so I was grateful to get them again for cash and donuts. The tasks, questlines and dialogue were all pretty decent as well. I hope the Halloween event will be just as great as this event. 🤗🎇🎃

  2. I got the Outdoor Opera Stage and it seems to do nothing it says it is at Level
one, is there a way to upgrade it?
Thanks for your site and information.

  3. It’s weird I have completed all the challenges but it has not awarded me the final prize. Can’t figure out what to do.

  4. I’ve completed all the quests, but there is no check mark next to the last one. This is just a glitch, right?

  5. I just got the message telling me how much time left and to pick up the pace, but I thought I’d finished all the quests! Is there something I should know?

  6. Attention everyone.
    A Halloween Event is coming
It will consist of Acts with tasks and event currency and prizes
This prizes will include playable characters – both earned and purchased with donuts- and non playable characters.
    And buildings and decorations
    And there will be joy
    And there will be frustration
    Some laughter, some tears

Sorry, I’m still recuperating from my monthly grocery store run.
Pantry is full, freezer is full, clothing is clean, body is clean, feet are sore ….
And the air is once again @#$&!! Filthy. But rain may be coming, helping quench the fires and cleaning the air

And we purchased one small box of individual wrapped gold fish … just in case some goblinettes disregard our dark porch
    And ring my bell

    • AND YOU HEARD IT FROM ME FIRST!!

    • 176 days without measured rainfall, so please feel free to bring that rain to Southern Nevada (oh yeah I’ve noticed the increased prices on groceries, even when some of the produce looks half the size of what it should be).

      Miss my Farmers Market 🎃

  7. Thank you for NOT sharing too much information about the Halloween update. The fact that you’re being given information at all reflects that your site is deemed reliable and always in compliance with the NDAs. Other than possibly recommending that we save X amount of donuts, I’ve never seen any need to be told any information before an event rolls out.

    • We always try to share information in compliance with the NDA, but always keeping you, our loyal readers, interest/eagerness in mind. When it’s time for us to share, we will be the first to share.

What I can say is that a Halloween event will be coming and you’ll hear about it from us first.

  8. Is anyone else having a weird glitch where even though I have the final prize (the bridge) … It is still showing as the prize track is incomplete. It doesn’t have a checkmark next to it.

Thanks MarkH, Alissa’s posts are always so vague/confusing. It’s good to know details, like it will consist of 4 acts. I’m excited for the Halloween update 🙂

    • I resent that. I try to be as clear and concise as I’m allowed to be at that particular moment. Don’t forget, we have restrictions on what we can/cannot say based on information given to us from EA. If it’s all the same to you, I’d rather not get sued.

      • Ouch!

      • C’mon — add a little ‘spice’ to your life. A little excitement. Experience the new and different.

Or be a quiet, unassuming gnome like I.
Biggest excitement for me is getting three or more flaming torches on the excavation site with 50 attempts.

        • Three or more flaming torches in one 50-attempt go at the excavation site??? That’s nuts!

For the past year, I consider it an achievement if I even get 1. And consider it winning the lottery if I get 2.

    • I think your assessment is incorrect and unfair! Alissa’s posts are very rarely confusing and are only vague when it’s well ahead of the release of an event and she’s in the NDA phase. The fact that others may violate that (or have ways to hack the info and aren’t getting info through “official” channels, which require an NDA) doesn’t mean that that’s the right thing to do.

You do realize that Alissa spends TONS of volunteer time AND significant amounts of her own money to provide this site and the info in it, right?

      • Well said.

      • I dunno, I too often find Alissa’s comments and posts vague and confusing…..
But then I sober up and everything clarifies.

      • I doubt Alissa is spending significant amounts of her own money to run this site. She has paid advertisers on here which generates revenue and there is likely substantial traffic coming to her page. I think she’s doing fine. But she does dedicate a lot of her personal time to us which we greatly appreciate. Maybe that reader finds Alissa’s posts confusing because they have trouble with reading comprehension, other than that possibility they could’ve been trying to make a passive aggressive dig for some unknown issue they have personally. Their issue. I find Alissa’s posts very informative and concise and I greatly appreciate this site. I hope my high traffic generates Alissa a bit of ad income to add to keeping this well oiled informative machine running. Thanks for all you and the team do for enhancing our game enjoyment 🙂 and don’t worry about the negativity, everyone is entitled to their opinion, right or wrong, or miscomprehended.

        • @Jack – I know for a fact that she’s spent thousands of dollars of her own money on this site over the years. But I concur with the rest of your comment.

          • Yikes, that’s intense!! Hopefully her ads have generated her profits in excess of what she’s spent.

    • Fair go! Alissa and the others put in a lot of effort into keeping the Addicts community informed about what’s happening in the game. Legal restrictions around what they can or can’t say necessarily create vagueness. I found a tiny bit of info on anther site and passed it on so people could get an idea of what was coming up in their games. Keep up the great work Alissa and co.

    Hello everyone.

Does anyone know if one will be able to buy extra Bourbon Street Band members after the event ends? I have bought the Blues Vomitorium but just noticed that the Band members item also has the “Limited time” timer at the bottom. I grabbed just one, but want to know this before spending more donuts on other event premium items.

    Looking forward to your comments.

    Thanks,
    JG

    • Since it has an end time, I’d say it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to purchase them after the timer runs out (although they’ll probably make a return in some future event, the way the rude crowd and the other crowd did during this event). So, if you think you’ll want more anytime soon, grab them today, while you still can!

    • I’d get what you can before the deadline if you want extra BSB members.
There is no guarantee that they will ever come back after the end of the event, even as a vault or yearbook item.

    • José González

      Thanks for the feedback guys.

Will farm for a couple of more donuts before the EOD to grab a few more band members.

Already got some of the event items, so no complains if not able to get more.

    • José

I would buy with 🍩’s now or cry later when time runs out …. either than that I hope you had fun with this Mini Event (I did) 😀

  11. I have found some information which says the next update is going to be released 14th October. Another 4 act event.

    • That’s essentially what I’m saying here. 14th follows the pattern.

      • So the TSTO Halloween Event 🎃 begins before the broadcast of Treehouse of Horror XXXI on October 18 (hmmm, wonder if we will get an Episode tie-in, even if it’s small like what we got from Treehouse of Horror XXIX “Intrusion of the Pod-Y Snatchers”) 🤔

      • I’d like to see EA bring back neighbour visits as part of the event again.
If going door-to-door on Halloween in real life is not suggested, then how about virtual visits in the game?

Also is there any way I can get more than one child to wear a costume at the same time? The Nightmare Pile appears to only allow one youngster at a time.
