It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Out with the old in with the new. All This Jazz ended, and Halloween is coming! EA allowed us to release a little bit of teaser info about this year’s THOH Event, you can check it out here. What are your thoughts? Excited for the item limit increase?

Sky Finger Monument appears to be broken today. I tapped it and it reset (so I can’t tap it again for 24 hours) but it didn’t collect any cash from any of my buildings. That’s a first. Anyone else experiencing this?
So today the Sky Finger Monument seems to have a bug. I tapped it and it reset the 24-hour timer (so I need to wait another day before I can tap it again) but it didn’t collect any cash, it basically didn’t work. That’s never happened before. Anyone else experiencing this?
Oh Hell-o… I’m suddenly getting the spinning donut on the login screen… And for the life of me, I can’t remember how to fix it. I’ve cleaned the cache, force stopped the game, everything short of reinstalling the game… if that’s what I have to do, I’ll do it, but I was hoping there might be another option I’m missing.

Once again an event is scheduled and once again I am getting the login issue (An error occurred processing the login, please retry … repeat x 1000) … ugh, so frustrating!

I don’t understand why EA can’t release the heights land to even things out a bit on top of that increase the item limits at the same time, feel it’s just a void and uneven, let us use game currency to buy it. 🧟♂️🧟♀️🧟👍 Plz
Is anybody else still unable to tap anything in neighbours towns or is it just me . It’s been like it for months now .
I have had that issue with a few neighbours. These are usually very large Springfields.
You can also check the last time a neighbour has logged in through the neighbour list. There is a possibility, that they may have recently been on their game and already cleared their items.
We need more land. There hasn’t been any land token for the longest. Just change it back to using in game currency.
Another Monday, another Day after a Simpsons Episode is aired (it wasn’t a great Episode, but it was a clever Episode – better than some of the Episodes over the last decade that got boring ….. an I lol’d at the Little Caesars joke / homage segment!) 😂

I’ve learned to live with it, but it would be so nice to have the people finder icon working again (along with my railyard, chili cauldron game, and anything that I had upgraded before like the redwood tree and reindeer food truck).

I have farmed up 1000 doughnuts for this.
Stopped playing Tsto 6 years ago remember the first forum. I been playing again for the last few weeks. Got to level 52 to 114. Unfortunately I can’t visit friends towns due to a bug. Everyone time I press the friends icon it will load and then crash before I can get to the other Springfield. I think I had this bug since 2014 but got around it by going to a friends krustyland. That is not a viable option now. Any surrgestions would be appreciated. If not its cool. I’ll just build my town wont be a nosey neighbourrheeno.
The other issue with going to neighbours is not all of them will have dollar signs to tap on.. or even spray paint cans, events don’t include any neighbour visits to collect. The way the game is now.. neighbours really mean nothing so you really aren’t missing anything. . At one time we had a daily quest to go to neighbours to collect from buildings. but that’s gone too.

Nightmare
I had a dream last night — that I ‘nuked’ my town. And like a row of dominoes I watched item after item being deleted and stored. And I couldn’t stop it.
AND….
All my donuts were deleted.
All my cash was deleted
Oh, Tiddlywinks! I rEAlly don’t want to have to make another call.
Next week, I need to make a call and request a Loyalty discount for the next year.
The following week, I need to make another call and request ANOTHER loyalty discount
Next month, I need to call and set up my Medicare Account
I DON’T NEED TO MAKE ANY OTHER CALLS!

I’ve decided it’s time for a praise, or thank you, post to EA.
I agree with much of what has been written over the last few years. I miss the excitement of those early events, with all the different things to do. I would point out all the bugs those events had.
So, like the show the game has settled into middle age. The format is repetitive, but their is sometimes comfort in the known. The prizes are a bit inconsistent. But as a general rule the technical programming works. The glitches aren’t as bad. One thing does stand out which is the dialogue, with some of the animations a close second. I also like the ratio of dialogue to event.
These are very stressful times. I kind of like e that each act is generally easy to complete.
And lastly, from EA’s perspective this is likely much easier to produce and maintain This will prolong the game’s life.
Again, is it perfect. Is there a lot of potential to really hit a home run with the game every once in a while. Absolutely. But right now I’ll take it as it is.
Have been playing the game for 7 years and have been frustrated in that I missed the 3-D Itchy and Scratchy theater during the Simpsons of the Future episode and it has never been offered again! Was it a flawed item? Any one have an idea?
I don’t think it was a flawed item since tons of items from the future events haven’t returned yet. I think when EA release another future or Itchy & Scratchy themed event then it’ll probably return. I missed Homer’s Dream House from the event and got it at the beginning of the year so its still possible that the theater will return.
