It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Okay, I admit it, I am a bit OCD when it comes to my XP multiplier. After actually buying some donuts (to keep EA happy?) I used my tokens to buy many items. After doing so, my XP total ended in .01% bonus. Aaah! Driving me crazy trying to find out how to get rid of the .01%. Help? Any suggestions as to what I should remove or what I can do to get it down to an even number again? All I can find is the white fences that add .05% each; HELP!
Does anyone have an issue with lagging during ‘send Springfielders..’ task
Any fix other than rushing the tasks by using donuts?

Well – it seems like I’ve maxed out my bank account. Got a message this morning that I have reached the maximum amount of currency that I can accumulate – 4,294,967,295.
And there’s really nothing in the “store” that I want to spend it on.
Maybe nuke everything, buy a bunch of trees & bushes and create a forest.

What is going on at EA! I got in had a download and then later went back to my favourite game and I couldn’t get in again!!! Very annoying!!

Also, for several hours last night they said that I couldn’t download because there was not enough room in my gam? Never had that one before.

Hello! I’ve wanted to post to the open thread for ages but Sundays are busy and I never take time to do it. We moved in September and we’re still painting and fixing. However, I just finished installing lights in a little bathroom so it’s time for a break!
Let me begin by saying that for the first time in over seven years of playing the game, I did it. While setting Cletus’s farm to grow Moonshine I accidentally hit corn. Actual corn. I haven’t stored the farm yet and I might not. I might wait until the next daily challenge to harvest tomacco or Silvertongue. I’m curious how far I’ll get. Has anyone ever grown corn. Actual corn. to completion?
Since I don’t always follow the open thread diligently let me apologize in advance if this is a topic that’s been covered before. Are there any tasks you haven’t done? I ask because to this day I have never sent Homer to “clear the tunnel,” the six second job to commence Springfield Heights. It’s still in my list and it’s still at the top of Homer’s jobs. It came right after an event I didn’t really like (Monsarno I think) back when events were long and involved and you could actually get sick of them (remember that?). There was any event a while back where we got a prepper outfit for Lindsey Naegle. I searched the store to find out how to get Lindsey Naegle before I finally checked the Addicts site to discover she was in the Heights! Anyway, I never really liked any of the buildings in the Heights and I don’t need the land but as the game has slowed down I’ve thought about unlocking it. Is it worth the effort? Will I just store everything?
Finally, while I’ve only posted a few times over several years, I visit the site regularly. For me a big part of playing the game is the Addicts site and the community that you folks have cultivated. Your coverage is thorough, your reliability is mind boggling, and your assistance is invaluable! Thank you!
Corn is great. I’ve done it a few times. Most notably the three times concurrently with Brandine giving birth.
I’ve done the corn once to completion. My 2nd time I ended up storing it to reset it just to see if it would work and it did.
Anyone else stuck in a loop? I had characters in a task that I keep trying to free up they wind up still showing they are in a task and I can’t free them. Is there any resolve for this?
Store the building they are in.
If you can put their buildings in storage then Unstore. I find that works.
No need to wait for Christmas Springfield.

Upon reaching this amount, there is dialogue between Homer Simpson and Professor Frink (still looking for exact dialogue, feel free to add to this if you find it).

It ends with a Notice from EA that the maximum cash has been reached and that you might consider spending some of it on the Sit-N-Rotate, or a few thousand Blood Mobiles.
The cash number display turns to red indicating the maximum amount has been accumulated and no further money can be added.
I remembered to save the screens om my phone when I reached the maximum back in May; here’s the dialogue …
Frink: Good Glavin! Don’t collect another cent!
Homer: Fat chance Poindexter: these white houses don’t farm themselves.
Frink: You fool! If you take in even one dollar more, we’ll exceed the bounds of binary dominion. You’ll destroy us all!
Homer: Well, I guess I shouldn’t do that. Again.

I still can’t wrap my head around going to Las Vegas to go to a sports arena and watch football, or baseball, or basketball……
BTW, I’m not a sports fan, just a pragmatist
It’s not the first time the Raiders bailed on Oakland (remember when they were the Los Angeles Raiders? How about those Los Angeles Rams that played in Anaheim?)
Las Vegas is growing with an increasing population that wants sports (as well as the legal right to bet on them). I’m glad that the increase in Minor and Major League Teams is creating new jobs. 🤔

A Hockey Team

And it’s only a matter of time before Vegas will go after the Anaheim Angels, or the Oakland A’s (neither City wants to build a team a new Stadium). 😉
I’m actually allergic to Turkey. But as English not American didn’t know until we had as a teenager at Xmas. Not the most fun finding out that way esp at Xmas.
I spent 1.99 and got the extra coins which meant I could unlock the 2 items after the free one. So now out of items. Not going to spend on the rest. Seems rather inflated.
Didn’t get homer with the donut head because figured would end up not using as skin. And event after event proved me right. I used to like picking Skins out but now you always need him on missions. Don’t see why why lisafer and Bart equivalent couldn’t have been characters. If donut head homer had been character, even npc you click would have gotten it.
Wish they’d add more land at the top part with posh buildings to the right . As has nothing new it would be good chance to have the new land needed. And bring stuff from the main section.
Also what happened to friends prizes and that one where you spent lots of money on items. They said to be continued and then just were never used again. It gave a bit more variety to the game.
Something I’d like- Don’t want to sound lazy, but the sky finger but for characters. Comes to point where you have so many collecting becomes ridiculous. We can automatically send them all on missions , get all building money. So why not.

I’ve hit the in game cash limit several times.. my solution was to buy the Krusty Oil Rig.. get the donuts.. sell it.. buy it again.. get donuts.. and keep repeating that until I get under 4 billion.
My problem is.. what to do with all the donuts.. I don’t get any mystery boxes anymore.. and won’t until the Flanders Family Reunion items are available. I got the cart the other day with the coin.. which is good.. but I have a couple of family members I need to get back.. should have mentioned that I lost all the reunion stuff when EA crashed my account and I was set back to a date prior to the event. I was able to some of it back but not the stuff that you had to pony up donuts to get.
I do a similar thing but with the world’s largest zirconia

I keep using Googleplex to spend excess cash – I’m closing in on 700 of all devices.
Once I hit 1000, I’ll figure something else….
With luck, sometime within a year or so EA will open up more Springfield Heights Land
