It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part, you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Simpsons are all new tonight with a brand new episode at 8pm on FOX.
Thanksgiving weekend is nearing a close and so is Blargsgiving in TSTO. How was your Thanksgiving? (We fried our Turkey for the first time this year, it was delicious!) Have you enjoyed Blargsgiving? Ready for Christmas? Snow in TSTO?
How’s your Springfield design coming? What are you doing with your town? Share some photos in the comments below! Any weekend excitement going on in your neck of the woods? Holiday decorating? Our halls are decked, the kids fought over who got to put which ornament on the tree. They all ended up in one clump on the front of the tree… making memories. Of course I happily fixed it later in the day. (And they only broke one…)

Help! Homer is stuck flying Santa’s Sleigh. I can’t see the sleigh and I can’t free Homer from spending the rest of his life in the air! Anyone know how to free him?
Did you try using donuts to speed up his task at the Simpson house?
The task never showed up on screen. I went to the building where you can look up where the characters are. It told me Homer was flying the sleigh but when I tapped on it, nothing happened. I ended up having to reinstall the app. And Homer was released!
There is the Wiggops Station and Burns’ Dragon included in the Black Friday. I saw that some characters can battle these creatures. Will this be available as permanent tasks?

I believe we are have our own opinions regarding the Black Friday Content this year ….. but EA gave Tappers plenty of options.
If you were loaded with 🍩’s? (I still have over 4,000) Then you could go after what was available for you in each individual Mystery Box – except for the last one that required Tokens.
If you actually had Content in that last Mystery Box? Then EA gave you options on how many Tokens to purchase with real 💵 (and you got bonus 🍩’s!)
I spent $9.99 – $4.99 Google Play Store Credit = $5.99 for all the Tokens I needed to obtain everything in that last Mystery Box. Was there a 2nd Prize Tier involved when you purchased Tokens with real 💵? Yes! Is it necessary to obtain everything from that 2nd Prize Tier? That’s up to you as a Tapper (I personally wasn’t interested, because I’m running out of space until EA will finally offer up more Land!)
EA is still giving us options on how we play this Game App ….. hoard 🍩’s or buy 🍩’s …. obtain Tokens or buy Tokens. Who knows what will change my next year, who knows if this Game App will still be around (please find a way to enjoy the Game App while it lasts!) 😉

Yep, only a few days left with this Mini Event (hope everyone got all the Content they wanted).
I hope everyone’s holding up during their States / Countries ‘lock down’ (or quarantine), this is one pandemic I look forward to seeing obliterated.

You’re purchasing them as Black Friday 2020 tokens, not general Mystery Box tokens. You’re getting what you’re paying for basically..
Does anybody have a definative answer about the tokens being used in different events or not?
I’ve said this on repeat for years now…
They cannot be used for different mystery boxes. Use them or lose them when it comes to the Gold Mystery Box.
However, the ability to convert tokens to donuts should remain as long as you have tokens to convert. But no one is 100% sure of that until the event is over, so I always recommend using before the event is over. Either on the box or on donuts.
Anyone having an issue logging into the game. I usually leave my game open on my tablet and phone, no need to log in each time I want to play. Both games were logged out today, and I am getting the Cannot connect to server pop up on both games.

Yes, there is a constant Network issue with this Game App ….. and EA knows it exists. I tend to get the Bart Simpson Screen of Death (I take that as a sign that EA has a Network down for maintenance) too often ….. and that’s half the reason why I rush through an Event (or Mini Event) with 🍩’s.
There’s no point in communicating the problem to EA ….. when you get logged out of the Game App? Login to your Origin Account (keep that user name and password information handy always) only when EA’s Network is available (or you will never Login).
This Game App is one of the last ones utilizing Origin Account, that’s an existing problem until this Game App ceases (or EA ports EA Play / EA Play Pro).
We have already gone over the existing problems regarding ‘lack of free space on a device’ , as well as ‘older version of OS no longer supported’ , but that comes down to replacing the device as you use with new ones.
I think I may have stored something I shouldn’t have, as my Cranberry Calamity ended at Part 5. Any suggestions?

Catfish Lake: GRRR. Somehow I missed getting this the first time around, and now it was only available for $50 cash??? And in any case, it’s not in my Black Friday offers any more! I just got the last thing in there (using tokens), so it’s EMPTY. I thought BF ran through Dec. 2 or something like that… in case I went nuts and decided to drop $50 for a cool building/decoration. When the mega-Mystery-Box sale was going on last year (?) I got everything available, so I’m assuming this is the first time this particular item has been offered since its original appearance in 2018, right?
Catfish Lake: sigh. Somehow I missed this when it first came around (2018?), and it apparently wasn’t in the mega-Mystery-box-sale (last year?) when just about everything was available. And I just didn’t want to drop $50 for one decoration. Now it’s being promoted, and it’s not in my Black Friday sale, or inventory, or my game, so I’m stumped as to where it could be. It looks like the Black Friday sale is still going on, except now there’s nothing listed since I had (or now have) everything in there. Foo.
Catfish Lake is still available. It’s not in the mystery boxes. It’s the second prize track. Hit the token in your task bar to take you there and scroll to the end. You have to purchase $50 worth of donuts. No getting around that.
Catfish Lake is new this year and has only just been released in the Black Friday (BF) update as the final BF prize because BF 2019 had CostMo as the final BF prize and 2018 had the Lard Lad Donut Factory as the final BF prize. It’s also not just $50 for one decoration but $50 for 3 decorations (3 Homerland decorations each with a 2.5% bonus), 3 buildings (The Boob Tubery, Circuit Circus, and Catfish Lake) and 62 tokens for the Gold Mystery Box (25 from the 900 donuts you bought and 37 from the BF prize track).
Like SB GIBBS says, tap the token in your task book then scroll until you get to Catfish Lake then tap “Get More” and buy the Store Full of 900 Donuts for $50. Black Friday is on until the 2nd December so there still a little over 3 days left of it.
Clearly, I mis-read the web page that I thought said it was first offered in 2018. Yes, I see it in the $$$$ prize track, and I can’t justify spending $50 when that’s the only decoration in the track I want. Maybe if I tell myself it’ll keep the game going…. !
Are the tokens transferable to the next event or will they disappear? Just wondering begore i use them for donuts. Thanks.
In our three games, we started this event with 2 tokens in game A, 1 in game B, and 0 in game C. I’m pretty sure they were leftover from Black Friday 2019. I know that you can’t spend leftover tokens in a different event, but since we are back to BF, I was able to use up these leftovers.
On another note, I only recently realized that you can access a gallery of your character collections-completed or incomplete-by clicking on the Store button and then on the Homer statue icon in the lower left corner. Yay!
